This really is a wonderful time to learn about how your body works. What you enjoy that is also healthy for you. I am experimenting with Gary Taubes and Robert Lustig ideas and love that this health discovery thing is still fresh and fun. That is a wonderful habit to instill- the ability to learn and experiment.

Next week, I am experimenting with cauliflower rice! I think I am roasting every thing under the sun. Watching the KIDS eat up Kale Chips like there is no tomorrow is a blast. It might be because my kids eat junk food RARELY but today at the famer's market, they weren't too interested in the beets even though I roast them.

I can definitely tell (in the front/all-around middle area).

But if I saw you every day, I wouldn't have noticed yet -- outside of a thread like this, I don't regularly (if at all) take such close stock of most others' bodies. The consistent pose of the pictures highlights the difference, but (somewhat luckily, and hopefully!) friends/relatives are not evaluating you similarly as you maneuver around and interact with them.

When they do finally exclaim over you, they will think you dropped 50+ lbs overnight ;-)

Oh yes!! I can tell a very big change from in the pics, and you look wonderful! I've noticed that I don't change my wardrobe as I lose weight (until I absolutely have too) and it isn't until I get new clothes that fit my body tighter, that people really seem to notice, I guess ppl get use to seeing us in the same outfits and really just don't notice. I think you look amazing! Keep up the good work!!

Thank you for saying that. I wish it was a few sizes.....My 20's are loose and the 18's don't fit yet....except one pair of jeans that are 18 - I can squeeze into them, but can't breathe and have major muffin top so they aren't wearable yet. The before picture in the jeans- those are 20's and they were so freaking tight it hurt when I sat down. I have on a pair of 18 Lane Bryant Shorts today that fit comfortably and the black pair in my progress picture are Lane Bryant 18/20's and are very comfortable. I can't wait to wear the wardrobe hanging in my closet! LOL

Oh yes, this is quite a learning experience. I'm still learning things and hope to never stop. You will not only learn about nutrition, cooking, meal planning, coping skill and strategies for eating healthy always, but you will discover many things about yourself. It's a wonderful time of self discovery and growth. Wonderful, fascinating and joyous.

I look forward to hearing of your continued progress.

And I'm another huge roasted veggie fan. Yumm!

You held a lot of weight in your back, breasts, and belly, I see huge shrinkage in all those areas and you look much less swollen. Lovely, actually. Your lower belly, especially, has really shrunk nicely, as has fat distribution across your shoulders (I have it too, and hate it!).

Great, great progress!

uh, HELLO?! Huge difference!! You look great! Actually if I had to guess I would say that you lose more than 20 lbs.
I lost 30 lbs over the last 1.5 years (which is a lot for my frame) and someone I see several times a week just asked me yesterday if I've lost weight. I was like, yeah where have you been??? LOL. So don't get too worried if people don't notice, especially if they see you on a regular basis. You're doing great!!!
