Hey gang! Looks like everyone is doing great! We should have at least one "graduate" very soon!

I seem to be stuck in the mid 160s no matter what I do. For instance yesterday morning I was 164.2. Today I am 164.1. Seems unremarkable except for the fact that yesterday I ran my first 5k. Running 3.1 miles should mean some weight loss from water loss if nothing else! Not to mention the fact that it seems to have gotten things moving in more ways than one. It feels like I spent half of the day in the restroom! And I still ate well so I expected all of that "movement" (bad pun, I know) yesterday would lead to some movement on the scale finally. But nope. Just .1 lbs. So disappointing!

Nope. You likely did a lot of muscle damage and will be holding on to some water.

SuperB I know!!! But I try not to expect too much, we know how these things are. :P

Chub, congrats for your 5K! Well done!

160.7
I'll have to start looking for a 150s thread soon, huh? But not too soon probably - TMO around the corner and I tend to bloat hideously. :P

pigeon, what do you mean not expect too much? Look at your progress! That is amazing! You've lost about 20 lbs - go to the gym and just hold a 20lb weight for a moment and think about that! Or better yet, go to the grocery store and look and 20 lbs of butter! That is incredible progress!

I am at 165.0 today! I am SO pleased! Last time round, I got to 165.4 and then worked my way back up, after working SO hard to get there. Somehow, it seems so much easier this time. IMF is definitely working for me and giving me a results-boots.

So that is my mini-goal achieved! And, my BMI is 25.0, so just one wee tick down and I am no longer overweight! Woo hoo!! Achieving my mini-goal has inspired me to get to the next mini-goal: reaching the 150's! :-)

That is meant to be "results boost", not "results boots". Sheesh. Although, perhaps that will be my promise to myself for when I reach the 150's: splurge on some great boots! Then I can have my results boost and my results boots too! :-)

Awesome job SuperB and Pigeon! And I'd like some results boots too please! ;0)

163.7 today. I've been within the same couple of pounds for 3 weeks now. Time to get moving!

Thank you SuperB, I am indeed happy for every pound I have lost, it's just that I don't want to get too optimistic as for me that breeds impatience and we all know how bad impatience is for weight loss. And great job getting to the edge of normal weight! That will be a day for celebration for me too.

Chubabub, so glad you can move again.

160.4 today. Slowly creeping there! I'm trying to get some zigzaging into my calorie intake. Let's see how it works.

164.4 today! Woo hoo! BMI 24.9! On the other side of overweight, after FAR too long!
Feeling lighter, not seeing *much* of a difference, so I hope in a couple of pounds or so I will look a little less poochy and a little more punchy. Where did I lose first? In my feet and fingers. Down a shoe size and a ring size - not really my goal, but whatev. Dress size must be coming at some point, no?

So close Pigeon!!! Better find that 150s thread. Congrats!

And SuperB 24.9 BMI - that's awesome! You'll be at goal in no time.

163.3 today. But if my pattern holds true I'll be back to 165 by the end of the week. Let's hope it sticks this time.

Oh and there's something I need to gush about a bit. A couple of days ago, I decided I need a new bra. I have gone down a size or even more and figured I will want at least one bra that fits for the next month or two, depending how this journey continues. Well first of all, I found a really cute discount bra. But the best thing? In the dressing room, I didn't feel like grimacing at the mirrors. I mean I'm nowhere near my goal, but the first time in a long time I felt I looked more like _me_. I've always been quite narrow around the ribs and upper belly - pretty extreme pear shape. My torso looked so much more familiar. That felt so very, very good. <3

162.1 today.

Pigeon - that's great you're seeing changes. I think it'll be quite some time if ever before I'm willing to change with my eyes open but that probably has more to do with the effects of age!

Go figure, for the first time in like 6 months I eat junk food (a small piece of triple chocolate cheesecake) and today I'm down to 163.8. Dieting is weird.
