A long tiring day today. Being a mentor and trainer is hard work. Tomorrow is more push push push and more info to be fed into a poor tired and overworked zonked middle aged Irish brain. Still the man has a wonderful sense of humour. He is going to need it in the weeks to come.

No personals tonight - sorry. Just need to get off the computer and find something that the brain doens't have to worry about. Back tomorrow.

Happy Hump Day ladies -

I'm so glad we're halfway to the weekend! Today will be another busy one at work as I'll be in meetings until 1 pm, and I'll have to cram a full day of work into the remaining few hours.

I DID get to the gym last night and did 1/2 hour of strenth training along with a 1/2 hour of Zumba. I really, really enjoy Zumba. It's so much fun!!

Mel - If you were watching my Zumba-ing last night, I'm sure you had a great laugh. I don't look very graceful out there, but I do have fun! I'm not on medical leave yet. My back is a little sore today...no Aunt Flo yet, so it could just be from Zumba and weights...but nothing a couple of Aleve can't fix. We'll miss you today.

Laura - Good for you for doing a BE workout and logging food. How was Sherlock? I was watching a talkshow on the BBC network last night and Downey Jr. was on...definitely a smoldering hottie. I hear Jude Law makes a great Watson as well.

Annie - If you decide at some point to cross the line with Mike...just protect yourself and your heart, okay girlfriend?

Patty - I've heard about You on a Diet. What a great recommendation from the checkout lady.

Shad - you are TOO funny about the "bonk"! Hope you have a relaxing evening tonight after all the training and mentoring.

Happy - I hope today will be better for you! I'm glad to hear Mr. Feral came back. As for the other stuff, it will get better. I had not heard the term "bonk" over here to mean THAT. I know "boink" does, but didn't know about bonk.

Well, I've got a couple hours before the deluge of consecutive meetings starts...so I'd better get some stuff done.

Love and big hugs to all,

Hi all,

Quick post for me this morning.

Shad - hope you found some nice brainless activity last night just to give the batteries a recharge. Perhaps a nice walk amongst the flowers or along a river or something.

Patty - hope you like You On A Diet - it is full of practical information. Some millionaire to be has not yet invented that which will make us fall under the spell of a plan and stick to it Till then we have to find the magic within ourselves.

Mel - don't work too hard today. Hide in the laundry room if it gets too heated in the office - and I'm not talking temps

Ceejay - 5 days off! Whew I'm jealous!!!!! Is Monday a holiday for you too?

Laura - how was the movie? That looked like a good one from the trailers on TV. Saw a brief interview with him and Jude Law where they said the 2 characters are written so that they don't like each other very much so they had a grand time filming together.

Annie - hope you had a nice time with momma. Guess you have to decide where you want to take it with Mike. Maybe someone who is "older" might be looking for the same thing you are. But if he skeeves you out, that's no good either.

Michelle - glad you had fun Zumba'ing the night away. I think we're all due for a bit of a warm up which should put a little pep and energy in everyone's step. This frigid weather has beat us all up.

Time for me to run - see yah!

Ceejay – Enjoy your 5 days off!!! I'm jealous!!

Michelle – I Hope TOM doesn't get the best of you for long. Robert Downey was looking good in Sherlock Holmes! Well, his body looked great, but I must say his face is showing some age and I don't think they were trying to make him look older for the role! Those close-ups on the big screen are not kind! I just had to look up his age - it turns out he's just turning 45 this April. Huh. By looking at him I wouldn't have thought he was younger than me, although he's done himself some damage in his past that surely had an effect on him. Jude Law was good as Watson, and I liked the humorous parts of the movie. I liked the movie, even though it didn't feel like the Sherlock Holmes stories I read so long ago! I didn't care for the way the action scenes were edited, but I think that's a Guy Ritchie thing, and I'm thankful the whole movie wasn't like that.

Mel – Sorry the cold brought you back upstairs, but better not to catch a chill. Our book club is reading Wuthering Heights and all it took was a chill and/or a cold to send folks into a prolonged illness that always ended in death. Good grief! Only 66 more pages to read and I'm done with it. I can't wait to discuss it at book club this Friday. Anyway…we're getting milder temps here, but so far it's not feeling balmy to me yet. I think it might be warmer temperature-wise, but it might also be damper and windier. I'll see how it feels to me at lunchtime. At least the sun is out today! I totally agree w/ you about the overly thick towels – annoying how long they take to dry. So you felt you had to do the pedals last night – but did you actually do them?!?!

Patty – You'll have to keep going to that checkout lady at Wal-mart for some more doses of motivation! I'm not happy w/ my start to the year, but I won't give up. I like this Confucius quote: "It does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop." I didn't have any popcorn at the movie last night, but I smuggled in a serving of cheez-its, a box of milk duds, and some water. I didn't eat all the milk duds, but more than I should have.

Shad – I've used the term bonk as in "bonk on the head", but haven't used it the way you do out your way. However, like Michelle, I've heard the word "boink" used that way… Sweet dreams!

Happy – Sorry yesterday wasn't good for you. Hope today is starting off much better. Re the Sherlock movie – I'd say the relationship between Holmes and Watson was not true dislike, but more like bickering in the way that close friends might be – it was humorous and I liked it.

Nae – Congrats on the new grand niece! Enjoy the upcoming visit from the granddaughter. I've heard good things about Avatar. I'm not much into sci-fi, and I understand it's quite long! Did it go by quickly for you?? A work buddy told me it flew by.

Have a great day everyone!!

Unfornately the water plant is never closed. We use those day's as floating holiday's. I'm not sure if the light office is closed or not.

I have accumulated 160 hours worth of vacation and I'm taking full advantage. I've earned it.

Nae
Congratulations on you grand neice.

Patty
I've thought about buying the You on a Diet book but I have to many diet books. I do like Dr Oz.

Happy
Hope you have a better day. My bad day at work was on Sunday. Is your foot still giving you problems?

Mel
Stay warm. Where do you find all oyour graphics" I love them.

Michelle
You are really motivated to lose "stay on program". I need to go to the gym this afternoon while it's not so busy and I don't have to get out after dark. Maybe I can work out some soreness.

Laura
I was curious about the new Sherlock Holmes movie. I hate going to theaters due to the extremely loud volume. I'll buy this when it comes out on dvd.

Annie and Shad hello I'll have to look up the word bonk now.

More later.

Well crap sakes, I lost my post...here we go again.....

Spent most of the morning a the hospital with mom. She was supposed to have a fistula or something like that put in her arm. Did not happen. Instead they replaced the parts that were clogged in her port that is in her chest/neck area. She did very well and is back at the nursing home. Poor thing, I fee so badly for her.

Shad...have not heard of bonk, but as Chelle had said, boink, I have. Either way I am not doing it with MEL.

Chelle...no worries about crossing the sex line with Mike. I don't have those kind of feelings or urges just YET. He seems nice enough. He texted me a couple of times last night as he was out of town on business. I tried Zumba about a year ago with DD. It was so much fun, and talk about laughing at myself, how hilarious it is to try to do it all. It does get your hear rate up that is for sure.

Happy......girl you must be on the run the minute your feet hit the floor. No more bad days for you sista. Onward and upward.

MELLIE...you sound upbeat here of late. Even without the bonk/boinking. LOL

Ceejay.....enjoy your time off, you certainly deserve it, my dear.

Laura...all that talk about R.Downey is getting me all twitterpated. Shuwee girl.

Nae...new babies, I love love love babies, they smell so precious. Enjoy.

Patty...I am sending our MELLIE over to bonk/boink/bang you over the head for motivation. Getty up girl.

Not much else going on,

Love and hugs.

Happy afternoon!

I went to my Weight Management group, which is the free support group offered at my work. And my "unofficial" weigh in says I'm up 2 lbs. We'll see what my official Weight Watchers weigh in says tomorrow. I'm sure I'm retaining water as PMS though. Plus, I know what I did over the weekend that caused it. The good part is that we have spent the last two weeks talking about goals and the baby steps necessary to achieve those goals and what contingency plans we can have in place when life throws obstacles in our way. I've been doing a lot of thinking about that and am just about ready to fill out the goal/behavior change form and put my commitment in writing.

So far my eating has been 100% on plan today, and while there's no Zumba tonight so I won't be going to the gym I will be doing my Wii Fit for at least 1/2 hour tonight. And I'm going grocery shopping to stock up on healthy food.

Mel - I'm kinda of glad that the cold brought you back upstairs. That way you don't work too hard and you stay snug, cozy and hopefully resting. Good for you for doing your pedaling. My meetings went well, in fact one got postponed, so that was nice.

Laura - TOM hasn't arrived yet...just the precursors so far (moody, cramps, and water retention). Downey's face is showing signs of age, but he's still hot. And yes, with all the drugs/chemicals he's put in his body it's no wonder he looks a bit older than he is. I saw a boxing scene in a preview and it did use some interesting effects that I wouldn't want to see through the whole movie either. I've never read Wuthering Heights, but I can imagine how bad a cold could be if you don't have central heating and proper medication/nutrition. Is it a good book? That's a great quote by Confucious! I hoped for a better start to 2010...but I can get and stay on track now - no house guests for awhile. It feels good to know that I can start to establish a routine again.

Ceejay - 160 hours of vacay??? Wow, girlfriend!! Enjoy your time off - you DEFINITELY have earned it! Good luck at the gym. I'd like to go during the day when it's less busy...but the classes are always in the evening, and with all the New Years folks, that's when it's the busiest.

Annie - I'm glad to hear Momma is doing well. She's been through a lot, but it sounds like she's holding up. Definitely part of the fun of Zumba is the hilarity of watching yourself in the mirror!

Patty - You'd better watch out if Mellie and Annie start kicking your arse. They are tough and don't take any excuses. Better just to superglue yourself to the wagon like the rest of us have.

Better get back to it...Got lots to do in the last hour of the workday.

Love and hugs,

Good Thursday Morning,.....

Mom is doing well. Didn't do the fistula thing, thank God as it is not what I thought it was. She still has the chest/neck port which they replace the clogged part. The fistula thing that would have gone in her arm, takes 6-12 weeks to heal, so the other port would have been kept anyway. I learn something new every day with her. She is back to being onery.

I love the Greek Gods-Greek yougurt in pomegranate. It is so good. Has a bit of sugar in it and is sorta like a thick paste yogurt however very tasty and I like the texture. Fills you up.

I splurged today and bought a decaf pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks, my justification is I brought my breakfast and lunch today. lol. Then my boss walks in with a decaf cinnamon dolce from Starbucks. I will be heading to the loo with MELLIE.

MIke (the new guy) has asked me to go out to watch the Colts game on Saturday night. I think he wanted to get together on Friday night after he dropped his daughter at her mother's house at 9:00 pm, but I kind of nixed that one saying I am visiting my momma that night, which I am, but I could of been home by 9:00pm. I am old, he is older, 9:00 pm is too late for a date, as that is my bed time. lol (Seriously) and I have been so tired of late anyway. Tripled up my iron thinking that may be part of the problem. We will see as it takes several days for it to work.

MEL...stock the loo with some good magazines since you are spending so much time in there. I had a bit of a potty issue this morning also. Still feel like I am going to be heading that way shortly.

Chelle....Good for you for getting some direction, motivation, and balance in your healthy eating 2010 plan. Now just do it. Overcome those obstacles..(parties, visitors, trips, etc.). Be stronger than they are, don't let them direct your life...you direct your life.....Stay OP, stay strong..WE can do this. xoxoxo

Shad...where are you, have they got you tied down with my pretty pink duct taope? Hope they are listening to you, I would hate for you to have to give them the smack down.

Happy...How's the foot coming along? Feeling any better?

Hello's to Nae, Laura, Patty, Ceejay and anyone else I may have missed.

Sunny and 30 today, regular heatwave. May have to break out the shorts and flip flops.

Have a Marvelous Day all...

Love and hugs.

Annie - I'm so glad to hear that Mom is doing well. Not surprised she is being ornery...she's probably frustrated. I'll have to look for that yogurt. Right now, I'm eating Fiber One yogurts as one container as ZERO points! Enjoy your Starbucks!! Good idea to switch the date to Saturday night. Go Colts!! Thanks for the words of encouragement!! We can do this sista!! xoxoxo. Enjoy the warmer weather (we're gonna be above freezing for sure today - It was already 30 when I left the house!).

I've got WW weigh in today and based on yesterday's "prelim" weigh in...I might be up. But I feel very positive and confident that I can get the scale moving in the right direction. In fact, I'm already starting to plan out rewards for when I get to 10% weight loss, and when I get to Onederland. And I am figuring contingency plans for whatever obstacles might pop up (visitors, illness, back pain). I KNOW I can do this. And I WILL lose at least 30 lbs this year.
