I had a root canal today - in the past that would have been an excuse to eat chocolate malts all day, LOL! Today I came home and made a pancake for lunch (easy to chew) and canned spinach (wilted beyond recognition, does not require chewing). So I will count that as a victory!
Hello friends, today was WI for me and I was down 1.8 lbs and I'm happy with that epically since Tom showed up yesterday, I just wanted to share my news, hope everyone has a great day.
Yay! Congratulations Teena!

Welcome to our great thread deelee! Glad to have you aboard, and hope it doesn't take you too long to get back to goal.
Worried about rainbow...usually when people stop posting it's cuz they've 'fallen off the wagon'...really hope that isn't what's happening.

Ouch root canal, makes me shiver all over, do not care for the dentist, but who does?
Yes ((((((Rainbow)))))) where are you? Hope your doing ok, let us know we're missing you.
For any of you wonderful ladies who don't venture to other threads, take a look at my stats!
-2 today
Onderland!
And my lbs lost is MORE than my lbs left to go
All in all, a great day
Rainbow, if you are lurking, come back! We love you!
Sorry about your root canal, AlisonS. I've found that food isn't so soothing anymore. Good for you for realizing that it won't really make things better.
Tina, you are the shining example of persistence! Keep plugging away.
DeeLee, you can do this. It isn't really so hard. But so what, we can do hard! We're not whimps here! We have the power to tell our inner child to stop nagging us.
Dunno where Rainbow is...I thought she just celebrated a milestone victory...
I had a routine eye exam today to get a renewal on my contact lenses. Yikes, she is sending me to the specialist for maculars - something is screwy with mine, it has "crinkles". I think the main thing to do for maculars is Omega 3, which I have a leg-up on now thanks to IP. BTW, she is going to be on the same flight I'm on to Cancun on Valentines Day. How funny is that? I'll have to think of a good joke to play on her, maybe get the flight attendants to help me. Hmmm...what to do to tease an eye doctor...
that I must have bought in a deluded moment of optimism a couple of years ago and then I bought a Land's End parka on sale for less than $50 for the really cold days at the beginning of the season. It is size XL and will work through the end of this winter, but will probably want something new for next year. It isn't that it is so big but it seems to have gotten about 4 inches longer than it was to start with, LOL.
Sorry for going on and on today, and thanks for listening! : )
Just had to share:
I had bought an XL Lands End raincoat several months before I started IP. I spent just under $200 on it so it kind of made me sick thinking about it. I ended up reading that they had a return policy of 100% satisfaction guaranteed or return at any time for any reason for an exchange or refund. I returned my XL raincoat for a Small.
Lands End now has a customer for life!

You can do it deelee. And everyone here will be more than willing to give support and encouragement - and the occasional 'swift kick' if needed.

I don't know about "crinkles" in the macular, but I was told around this time last year by my Optomologist that I have early stage macular degeneration. I was told to take Vitalux Plus Omega 3 with Lutein - here's a link to an info page about this product: http://www.eyeclub.ca/vitalux/about_...ts.htm?lang=en

Wow - now THAT is a great exchange policy.

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to check in and see what's going on.
Nothing in particular to report from my end... just 'keepin' on keepin' on'.
Have a great day! Weekend is almost here. (Gonna be a cold one in these parts).
DEELEE welcome! Look at all the losses! How great!!!! Congrats so all and to all who have great NSV's!!!!!
Been a GREAT week and glad that it is Friday! We are having fantastic weather!
I am hoping the scale is good to me this week and my body has finally adjusted to all of the activity! I got the green light for a 2 mile bike ride this weekend!
Love love love Lands End. I have bought a lot of clothes from them. If you live near a Sears, you can return them there. My only complaint is the bathing suits run short. (And I am short to begin with.)
I have two coats (about 10yrs old but in excellent condition) that are too big and I would love to sell them.
AND I just bought a present for myself, COWBOY BOOTS!!! I got them through Amazon.com so I used a $100 GC I had gotten for my B-day. So excited.

Thanks, Evepet. DH has what you have and takes something similar. It has not reversed his problem but has kept it from getting any worse for several years now. I checked out the all-knowing Internet, and found that macular wrinkles are from the retina pulling away from the wall a little bit and then settling back down but not as smoothly. Nothing to do about it until your vision is impacted, and then they do surgery to smooth out the wrinkle. Thankfully no vision problems for me yet. But I'll wait to see what the experts say. I'm really bad about taking pills. For me, the supplements were the hardest part of P1.
Just wanted to pop on and say "Hi!"" Somehow almost a week got away from me! Still 100% and doing great with the program, plus we moved our move out west (from the northeast to the southwest) up a month, so it will be the first week of March instead This is all good just lots to do because we need to schedule my husband's dialysis every 2-3 days along the way, so it will stretch things out a bit!
So wanted to say Hi and I will get back to posting more regularly. to everyone and have a great evening
Hi - thanks for the nice welcome and words of encouragement.
Maezy - Glad your lump not cancerous - woohoo! what a relief that must be.
Fishette - LOL about my "inner child." That's exactly who that is that is saying,"Find me some carbs, any carbs will do!" Hope your eyes are okay.
MaMaZu - Woohoo on the size small raincoat! And nice to know Lands End has good return policy.
Lisa - Congrats!
GreenIris - sorry about your torn ligament. I had rotator cuff surgery on Aug.31 on my right shoulder. Still not 100%. I had my left shoulder done 2 years ago and it is 100 %. Just takes awhile. And lot's of PT.
Yesmyqueen - Love your name - thanks for the welcome.
Well, we'are heading into my bewitching hours. I look forward to getting to know you all!
