Woke up this morning and did 30 min of pilates and yoga because I couldn't go back to sleep. About to do an hour of total body strength, may get some cardio in later if I can (the storms are messing with my ability to leave the house!)
I am so glad this thread is back. I used to only lurk, but have decided to participate from now on. Yesterday, I did 35 min. on the elliptical (then my knee started) and 25 min. on the recumbent bike.
Today I was back on track with my trainer and did 15 min. of heavy duty warm up on the regular stationary bike and 55 min. Pilates. It was so tough after his two week vacation and my two week's of too much partying and too little staying on plan! Oh, and the 20 minute brisk walk to and from the studio (10 min. each way).
My quickie 15 minute morning routine turned into 30. As the path, stairs, and haughty hill were a solid sheet of ice! Good thing I had gotten myself as a stocking stuffer these little rubber spike cleat thingies. You just slip them on to the bottom of your boots and viola. Wasnt sure about them at first but WoW! What a great lil gizmo.
That was all I was able to do due to the changing weather. I'll have to think about other things to do when the weathers bad. But I promise to do my thinking in my head next time and just give you all the short but "sweet" version.
BTW... Everyone just calls me Sassy around here.. fits better then the sweet.
Okay - I'm relatively new to this site (but not 3FC). I'm going to crunch some numbers and create my exercise minutes (ticker) for the month and start tracking. I do much better with a goal in mind. Thanks Mandalina for setting a good example here!
I have to get in the habit of posting here every day rather than every few days.
Friday: 45 minutes walking
Saturday: 1 hour walking, 1 hour gym (30 mins circuit, 15 bike, 15 elliptical)
Sunday: C25K W1D1. Depending on how I feel and how hot it gets, I might go for a walk a bit later - I'm a bit sore, and it's supposed to hit 33 deg C (about 92 deg F) later on today...
Just got back from 40 min. on the elliptical and 20 min. on the recumbent bike.
Sassy, are your gizmos called "yaks?" I just bought a few pair for the family, but havent had a chance to use them yet (actually that's a good thing). I hope my lil gizmos work as well as yours once we need them around here!
I did 4 miles of treadmill since it was too rainy and wet from the rain AMANDA sent down here...wink...to walk to Starbucks with Angie and the mutts this morning.
