Thank you kfunk!

I went to see my primary care physician and she told me I can get it back down again. She put me on Metformin and I got my blood glucose testing kit and strips and so on this morning so tomorrow morning I have to start using that.
I hate needles but I look forward to conquering this insulin resistance and never needing to do it again.

darius: Thank you, and great job to you, too...you are doing awesome on the weight loss! And about finding out that you are diabetic, I am so sorry...it runs thick on my father's side of the family, so I have always been cautious of it as well. It's a good thing you know now, though, because you can start tackling it right away instead of not knowing and possibly making it worse. Hope the Metformin helps!

Quickie post for now as I am getting ready to go for a visit to my parents but came in and read all your news and thanks to you all!

We have one week to go exactly including today!

Darius I am so glad it went well. Did he put you on a specific plan? I am not one to push plans on anyone and I certainly don't have enough knowledge, there are countless plans and variations out there and we are all unique although when I had first read the South Beach book, I recall pre diabetics reversing it, etc. Anyhow, I am sure your doc is working with you with all that and I am rooting for you! : )

nancy It will, just keep at it like you have been, changing things, trying things, ouff. I was so frustrated last month, I can imagine how you feel but you will get this! I increased my activity too and started drinking more water again. Onto a new day girl and wishing us all a good one.

Darius You have a plan and a good attitude, doing all the right things to reverse it!! I hated needles too, but had to give myself shots in my stomach a couple times a day for almost a year and it does get much easier. Needles don't even phase me anymore, I am wishing for the same outcome for you as well!

I know what you mean about the ups and downs and how frustrating they can be, nichols. Think of this though, you have lost almost 6 lbs. this month so far and we still have 5 days to go, I think that is really impressive, especially with how close to goal you are! You are doing fantastic!!

Thank you Britt!! I know you mentioned how last week as a tough one, but that weigh in was great news!!

Nancy, I have heard several times that it is slower to come off the closer to goal that you get. Some months are going to be better than others, but you are going down and at the end of the day you are lighter than you were last month and that is a huge win!

I think this is because I had a higher amount of sodium than normal yesterday and I also weighed an hour earlier than yesterday. I am sure tomorrow I will go up as well because I will weigh in 3 hours earlier than I did today. I will try to balance that out by eating my dinner earlier than normal.

Weight was really low this morning.
Hoping it sticks but with the way my body has been working lately...I haven't been getting my hopes up!
