I'm at 245 so far. Hoping to exceed my goal of 500.
I have a 15 minute routine set up, Grandiose, I think most of them focus on my stomach, need to tighten it up.
Jaken-you can still do it, you still have 21 more days of May.
Vertigo-some of my faves are some of the strengthening leg lifts, and I love the obstacle course, and the penguin one. Not a big fan of the yoga but I do it. I have been doing a lot of strength. I like free step too cos I can do it and watch tv at the same time.
Worked in my yard for 4 hours today, so dont think I will do any today, but definitely will tomorrow.
Grandiose: I find that Hula Hoop, Advanced/Free Step, and Basic/Free Run are really good in terms of calorie burn. When I used it religiously, I used to do all three of those above workouts every day. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I would add some of the strength trianing exercises. On Saturdays and Sundays I would add some yoga and a couple balance games. On Tuedays and Thursdays I would double up on hula hoop, step, and run. Hope this helps.
I got 15 minutes done yesterday...and my plan is to do at least another 15 today, after I wrestle with the dogs trying to get thier nails trimmed!! lol.
I need to set up a "routine" on the Fit that will have the most impact...any ideas/suggestions??
if you are using wii fit plus you can get the wii to create a routine of yoga and/or strength training based on how much time you wanna spend exercising.
After you learn which ones you like you can always make a custom one. i personally like being able to change my routien everyday, even if its just the order i do things in ^_^
jakenamirgirl- I know that feeling about the papers! Too well. Haha. You can do it!
Grandiose- There are a few premade routines if you have wiifitplus. I'll write down the routine I made and post it later. I also agree with jakenamirgirl that Hula Hoop, Advanced/Free Step, and Basic/Free Run are good cardio. Obstical course really gets me sweating toe! I get really into it.
Well, you'll have to take it out of the box and plug it in. Plus connect it to the TV and hook up the sensor bar. Put some batteries in the remote. Then turn the wii and the TV on. Pop in a disk and away you go!
The disk will prompt you for what to do. I pretty much only use Wii Fit and it's very easy and helps you along the way.
Speaking of the Fit... I fire dit up today but only did 9 minutes. I just wasn't in to in tonight. But I'm doing great toward my goal for the month so I'm not going to fuss about it. I had the dogs out for a good long walk this afternoon so I did get exercise and I can always Wii tomorrow....
I got my next 2 discs from gamefly today. I tried the first one, Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum 2010. I was not impressed.
My other one is Punch-Out, which has good ratings, I'm going to try that tonight...maybe. I did P90x today, was about an hour and a half, so I am whipped.
I have not been very motivated to exercise recently for some strange reason but I got to it tonight and my piggy turned bronze!! At long last!
Vert-I have Jillian's Fitness Ultimatum on my gamefly Q but I haven't gotten it yet. I bought Punch Out because I liked it so much but I must tell you it is not a boxing viedo-it is a video game. Meaning, there is a trick to it. You can't beat your opponents simply by shear power, you have to learn their weaknesses and exploit them. Also, the balance board part of that doesn't work well, don't try to use it. Once I realized it was a game and that I couldn't just punch them to death, it was more fun. I sent back Biggest Loser. I didn't like it enough to keep it. I also have endless ocean right now. This is kind of fun. Unlike any other video game I've ever played. I just sent a bunch in as trade-ins.
I'm up to 7 hours now. If I hadn't accidentally delated my profile this winter I wold have a bronze piggie. Drat! Of course if I get down to 250 punds and reach my 360 minutes this month - looking goood on both counts - I'll get the Wii Fit Plus game and have to start over collecting hours... So unfair!
Endless ocean is a game where you are a scuba diver and you go explore all these diving sites. They give you directions and you swim over and check out the fish and plants and whatever. You can point to a fish and they will tell you all about it on the screen. Kind of educational I suppose. I haven't gotten very far into it and I'm not sure how much I like it but it certainly is different. There is a sequel which might be better.
Vlad. I think if you get wii fit plus it keeps your profile and it might keep your time. I never had the old version so I wouldn't know for sure but it seems like that would make sense.
