Good luck, Flower.
I'm doing my last few minutes of procrastinating before I go on a mad cleaning dash. My husband has a friend flying in from England today, and apparently he is a neat freak. Needless to say, living in a house with a man, child, dog, and four cats, while running a business out of my house, I'm not so much  At any rate, I'll probably be off for a week since I have to be social. :)

Hey ya'll! Just stoppin' in to say I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, but unfortunately I admit I'd be a spokesmodel for a "Wagon fall-offers Anon" group. I haven't gone up or down weight or inches. Been eatin' too much junk and not enough exercise to burn off the cals I'm scarfin'. I did get this book called "The Butt Book". It's very inspiring and it has a menu plan and exercises. I did some of them. I also bought a new "Crunch: Dance Party" workout cd. I'm kinda doin' the same thing as you, michelle, but I've evolved from just saying it to buying things to encourage it. Hopefully it will work eventually!
Well, gotta go!

Hi all
Well it's Monday morning and we've just had word on the radio that it's business as usual in london, all modes of transport are open. I have family in London and thankfully we haven't heard that anyone has been caught up in it. A chap i work with was said to have been heading to the capital during his 4 days off, he didn't show for work last night and didn't contact the manager either, so we're a little concerned for him, someone is going to contact his home if he doesn't turn up tonight! So your thought's / candles and prayers are most appreciated.
Eating well so hopefully weight should fall soon ??!! I'll keep you posted.
LOL @ Leanne...and well done for NOT taking the scales on holiday.
HRH Cherry Jewel I could use a but book...I am true british girl....a classic pear shape!! s
Hi Michellejy, nice to hear from you
Flower how did the move go???
I see that from the ginormousness of this thread, I must not be alone in my obsession with the scale.

The friend we have here is from London- lives and works there. He actually knows people who were on one of the tubes that was bombed, but fortunately everyone he knows made it out okay. At any rate, tonight is his last night here so I have to go be social some more, but I just wanted to check and see how everyone is.

Hello everyone...
Welcome Cuqt!! Yes we are a ginormous group and I really should start a new thread soon!Lol We talk about everything here as you can see! Hope you stay around awhile and visit!
Tulip and Michelle...I am lucky...none of my family is in the London area...they are all in Manchester and Blackpool...soooo i do thank the higher powers that everyone is alright. Canadians are now thinking "If it can happen in England,..it can happen in Canada."
We may be known as the most polite country in the world...but that doesn't leave us out as non targets for what is going on in the world today...
Hope everyone is finding themselves safe at home and healthy..
I bought a new pair of runners and a pedometer...i walk about 4-5 thousand steps aday...am trying that 10thousand steps a day thing...get me off my butt...and get my butt off....
Working 12 hours shifts for the next few days and am soooo tired...but wanted to stop by...these 50 and 50 hour weeks are killing me....and say hello while i'm still somewhat awake!!!

Welcome to the group Cuqt....let us get to know you...tell us your scales secrets...you might do something with them that may benifit the whole group...new ways of weighing ourselves is always welcome!!! lol
Missing Chap at work turned up....what a relief that was!!
Splashes...you should be doing more than 4/5 thousand steps if your doing a 12hr shift in a restaurant...your not accidentally resetting it half way through your shift??? I clock up 11k on my 8 hr shift...so your's should be more!!! check and make a note of your steps every couple of hours, just to make sure ;)
How was your guest from London Michellejy...have you survived??
Flower where are you?? I hope you managed to take the pc with you when you moved....I was thinking about you today while i was harvesting potatoes, peas and courgettes.
Calling Leanne...can you please RUN over to your pc please and let us know how little you weigh this week....you are our inspiration (apart from the running bit!!  ) we need you to keep us on track!
HRH Cherry...hows the but book menu going???
My weight is the same, eating ok...but i am now incapacitated...I slipped while out shopping (on a fruit smoothie that someone had dropped if your interested!!) i have torn ligaments in my foot and twisted my back causing muscular damage...OUCH it doesn't half hurt!!! I'm off work for 2 weeks to start with, but they have told me that it could take up to 6 weeks to heal. It is so frustrating, i can't drive, walk without a crutch, drink - due to the strong painkillers they ahve got me on...ahhhhhh not looking forward to the coming weeks.
Good news though - i went to an interview today for a Special Educational Needs Learning Support Worker and I GOT IT!!!! WOOHOO i start in september..I am sooooo pleased!
right that's enough news from me...
bye for now Tulip

07-15-2005, 08:26 PM
Tulip- you poor thing. Who would have thought smoothies could be so dangerous? :) So do you at least get to take good painkillers while you are laid up?
We took our guest to the airport on Wednesday for his flight. After being there for two hours trying to get him checked in, we found out his flight was cancelled so he stayed an extra day. He is a nice guy, but it's so great to have the house back to myself again. It's tiring always trying to entertain someone.

Hi Michellejy...know what you mean about guests...it's nice to have them but nicer still to see them leave...I love having my house to myself!!
As for smoothies.... :cb: Banana ones are the worst kind...soooo darn slippy :faint: As for the painkillers there great, i feel as if I've had one too many :stars:
:beach: I'm spending my time sitting in the garden sun bathing and reading the new Harry Potter book...we queued at midnight to get our hands on one of the first copies...I left my daughter reading it in bed at 12:45 last night and when i went into her room at 9am this morning she was still in the same position reading it.. :wizard: she assures me that she hadn't been reading it ALL night, she did actually go to sleep....eventually!!! That's her weekend taken care of...but as soon as she puts it down i pick it up (I knew we should have bought two!!!) :chin:
Where is everyone, still enjoying the good weather no doubt???

Hello ALL!!
I did take the pc with me but was not able to hook up to the web untill now.
Tulip-I have loved the Harry Potter books. Need to order the new one. I am like your daugher. Would stay up all night with a good one.
We are trying to get things put away. Have way too much stuff for such a small house. The soon to be ex is being a jerk. He has told me that he will fight me for the rest of his life before he gives me a penny. I hope he dies quick! lol
I went to dinner with the former boyfriend that I have thought about all this time. It was wonderful. He is a really nice man. Think it should be my turn to have a nice one. The great part is that he thought I the same thing about me.
Have a great night everyone!!!!

Tulip- my daughter is a reader too (she gets it from me). There have been a couple of times I've found her light on in the middle of the night or found her sneaking under the covers with a book light.
Flower- I don't know how your state laws are, but in most states, unless you have equal custody, child support will be directly debited from his paycheck before he even sees it. It's based on a percentage of income as well, so there's not really any argument on that. As for alimony and such, I have no idea how that works since I didn't ask for any. I just wanted to escape! :)
HS- I'll be picking up my kiddo in a couple of hours here. It's been really weird not having her around all of this time. At any rate, no more house to myself, but it's different when it's family :)

I AM HERE
Just got back from the in-laws last night...and WOW...almost 2 weeks WITH NO SCALE....mark this down on the calendar.......YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY
AND
MY SCALE STILL LOVES ME- it wasn't mad at me at all this morning...I thought maybe it had gone through a little withdrawl but it probably enjoyed the break from me stepping all over it every day....hahahah
Yes, it weighed me at 115.4 YAY....but, in all fairness I have been RUNNING RUNNING RUNNING and really sticking to my training program, plus it has been SOOO HOT here that running in the heat is awesome fat loss....(water loss more like)...
So anyways, I am back home and looking forward to getting back to normal...haha- ill have to spend today unpacking and putting everything away but otherwise it is nice to be away but nicer to be home again!
HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING GREAT,

I haven't been on a scale in a bit. As the saying goes "denial ain't just a river in Egypt."
I'm having ex-husband stress, upcoming trip stress, houseguest stress, and husband needs to get a greencard already so they let him back in the country after vacation stress. All in all, I'm just worrying about everything except taking care of myself. I guess that's normal for women though, huh? :)

Wow! I can't believe it's not just me that's addicted to scales. I just started my diet on sunday and have been on that scale non-stop! I've lost 5 pounds already and weigh myself wayyy too many times a day... probably 4-5 times. Today, I did really good and only weighed myself once when I woke up and then just now. I'm going to try and stay away from that thing until Sunday, the official weigh-in day!

Hey Everyone
LOL TULIP- hey whatever works eh?? could be a real money maker , but I also thought what if you stepped on the scale and if we were up a little it would say " thats okay honey, you still look gorgeous", or something encouraging...that would be nice too...
HS- Yes, it sounds so funny but running is probably the ONLY time I think of ME ME ME ME ME ME ME. Plus, the way I think of it, is that I am "IN TRAINING" right now, and I have NO ONE to please or disappoint but myself, and I HATE it when I disappoint myself so that leaves me no choice but to try my hardest to please myself. AND like I said before, once before, once you TELL someone that you are going to do something, you dont want to have to explain to them and others why you didnt do it!
My dad is here for a few days, he brought his boat up, so I have been having some sunny, beach time with the kiddies...it is GREAT and who knew so MUCH fresh air would make them ALL sleep so well........maybe I should look into buying my own boat...hahahah
This summer if flying.......my baby girl is now 10 months old, and my youngest son will be 2 on saturday......wow....time certainly FLIES by when your not prego and counting down days...hahahah
AH, sorry to ramble on...
Happy Monday everyone!

Went through the orchards and vinyards of my friend's farm. We encountered the hugest deer I've ever seen. I guess country living is good for them too! Our peach crop is pathetic this year, but our pears and plums are just amazing. Pears and Apples are going to be abundant this year. I can't wait!!
The weather here is horrid. Hot and humid and up near a hundred degrees. I hope you weather stays nice. My friend is going home to England on Friday for a month so I hope the weather is nice for him and his wife. My clothes still fit me though lol.
Anyway, Hey Tulip (or anyone)? I got a question for ya... Can you tell me some plants that only like the sun? I have a garden that is pretty much in the sun all day and some of the plants I have, have died on me. :( (Marigolds, Mums, Salvas)

Well, Tulip....I believe you have just come up with a very wonderful idea! I'll post my daily eating plan starting monday! That way I'm keeping a food journal and posting daily in here!
I'm finally starting my packing to move to my new place. I can't wait to set up the big marble fireplace! I'm having a garage sale next Sunday to get rid of the stuff I keep dragging around with me because I am a packrat. I wonder if i'll lose the pounds at the garage sale too! I'll post a big sign..."50lbs for Free!!" LOL
Take care ladies and hope to hear from everyone soon!! Tulip can't keep doing this alone!!!

Good idea HS...about the eating plan and the garage sale....you never know you may get a really skinny women who is desperate to put weight on come a long and take it all off your hands!!!! LOL
In all seriousness though, clearing out the stuff your dragging around is usually good for you...new broom clean sweep and all that. New house no junk, just you and your puppies and a new way of eating...don't forget to put all that junk food into the sale also!!!
Way to go HS!! what's your moving date?
I will do it too...I want to loose the last 8lbs if i can before i go back to school, my trousers are just a bit on the snug side. So i support you and stick to a good eating plan it should just fall off!!!! huh well i live in hope...we'll support each other.

I think it's just me an' you Tulip!! Moving date is the 15th!!! I can't wait to see that lovely marble fireplace!!
What's a rasher??
I ate today:
3 slices chicken bacon one scrambled egg
Toasted western for lunch
supper was 3 cheese tortellini with a marinara sauce...
ANd i drank about 100 oz of water... and tea...
I have a mug at work that is actually a giant thermos...it is 64 ounces and I usually drink one and half to two of those at work in a shift..then there's the green tea I drink at breakfast along with my morning glass of water...then the 3 or 4 glasses throughout the evening at home...i drink alot when i come in from walking the dogs it's so hot here...
So eating is going well so far!! See you soon Tulip!!

morning HS - a rasher is what we call a slice of bacon! :dizzy: words we take for granted seems strange to other people!!!
My turn now...
...what's....A toasted western??? obs food seen as you had it for lunch  ...but what??
Your water intake is fantastic...I really struggle to get my 64oz in. Like yesterday it was hot but i just wasn't thirsty. I probably hit just over half of what i should have.
Food was a bit better tho
I slice of bacon 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast
Spinach and chicken and red pepper salad for lunch (leftovers from the night before!)
and dinner was roasted lamb, with loads of brocolli and carrots and just ONE Potato!!!!
I did have an ice cream with the kids while at the lido :o :(
I'm going to the hairdressers today. So i will feel all pampered when i get back!! :smug:
Here's to a good day HS!
Tulip-Fairy
08-11-2005, 03:44 AM
So how did you do yesterday HS??
My water intake wasn't as good as it could have been so i'm going to try harder today with that one. Eating was good though, 3 good meals
scrambled egg n bacon for breakfast
Cold meat salad for lunch
Lamb and Veggies for dinner Glass of red wine with dinner tho :o
I walked for about 30 mins in total wiht not too much pain so i was quite pleased with myself..I will try to do it again today!
Hope everyone else is ok...I feel a bit silly talking to myself   :?:

Well, my 10.5 month old daughter is WALKING......................YAY.....totally about 10-20 steps all on her own.......I can't believe it is that "walking" time already!
So, I have been busy, busy, busy...and trying to stay on top of my running program....my weight is holding steady at about 114.6 YAY...I am trying to NOT step on the scale, and honestly a few mornings I have just been too tired to go upstairs to step on it (my daughter is also teething so sleep is not a lot for me)
Im off to bed EARLY tonight......

Eating today was bad...all carbs...just ate cereal and muffins because I'm so stressed with moving and everything....I start moving sunday...small stuff first...then big stuff on monday and tuesday...I can't wait till my life settles down!!
Don't push your foot too much Tulip!! Don't undo the healing!! Take it easy and take care of yourself!! I've done the "i feel fine" thing and ended up worse than when I did the original damage!! Bee a good girl and rest in your garden!lol

I ate out ALL day, lunch, tea and dinner and while i tried to stay healthy, there was little extra bits that shouldn't have been there...I'm not going to mention them coz it may make you run off to enjoy a piece of it too!! lol
Today has been better, water is on target, breakfast was great, sunday lunch is in the oven and is healthy!!! and i promise i wont have any pudding although a glass of sherry before lunch is a tradition i wont' break for any diet!

Yes, my daughter is toddling around like crazy, she is really good...a few minor bumps and bruises but I guess by baby #3 unless there is blood or I can see bone, its been a good day...ew...hahaha
So today I RAN 10km...as if I were running my race.....
my goal was to spend the summer trying to do the 10km in 60 minutes, as my previous personal best was 65 minutes...

Hi ladies
Haven't been in for a few day....it's been party central here for days!!! Glad that's over....tis mine next....!!!
Well the 14 yr old is still in bed sleeping off her late night last night ( I didn't know a dozen teenagers could make sooooo much noise!!! It was a case of everyone talking and no body listening!! lol But she enjoyed it so that is the main thing!
I on the other hand have woken up with what i think is an ear infection...I'm all dizzy headed and my ears feel all heavy and wobbly (!) I think a trip to the GP is on the cards!!! All my co-ordination is out of sorts, typing this is really hard.
On that note, I hope your all doing fine i will be back as soon as my wobbly ears allow!

Hey I had lunch with the guy that I have been crazy about for the last 20 years. He feels the same about me!!! I am the luckiest girl in the whole world!
I also have lost over my goal weight. I am now in a size 4! Yeh you read that right, I said 4!!!!!!! I have my fourteen year old daughters jeans on right now.
Need to get the kids ready for bed. I will talk to all of you soon. Ü

Tulip, sounds definitely like an inner ear infection...if you are all wobbley and your ears feel heavy, you can bet an inner ear infection. I am the queen of ear, nose, throat infections...Go to the GPs and let us know how it goes!
Eating is pretty good these days..moving is slow...sleeping is good and so is water intake...i have foudn this bottle that doesn't spill! I take it everywhere and if I leave the lid part off, it doesn't spill out the drinking part! Small things make me happy these days!lol

As for the ear infection...you were right, middle ear viral infection - laybrinthistis (sp?) have a 10 day course of tablets, with no alcohol to be drunk while taking them so the hen weekend that i was due to go on has had to be cancelled. a group of 11 (should have been 12! :dizzy: ) ladies are heading as i type to the north of the country for a girlie weekend, we had planned a day of shopping and lunch with saturday kept free for a dressed to the nines day at the races...i am soooooo disappointed!!! :tantrum: :tantrum:
My family have also planned hte weekend around me being away and have arranged to do loads of physicall stuff that i am unable to do due to my fall back at hte begining of summer...I am such an old crock!!! :dz: :stress: so i'm stuck at home on my own feeling dizzy :dizzy: :stars: and sorry for myself!! oh well...another couple of weeks and i'll be back to normal...oh yeah...and back to work!!
And to top it all off i'm forgot to take my IBS tablets for the past two days and my weight has soared!!!! I'm so bloated it's unbelievable...I've changed my tracker and it looks worse than ever! I'm seriously fed up!! :tantrum:

hey Ladies
well I had a good night of sleep last night, but unfortunately I woke up STILL tired....this is wearing me OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUT
when hubby comes home I am going to say " SEE YA, I AM GOING TO SLEEP"...but its nothing I cannot handle, I am just trying to do everything and I guess I can let some things slide....the white floor really doesnt need to be spotless ...but the kids are dressed, fed, taken to the park, taken outside, taken for walks, bike rides, played with, bathed and put to bed, so I guess I am doing the important things...lol, no time for running but my weight is the same at 113 probably because I havent had much time to SNACK...but I miss my actual running and my hour a day to myself.aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Hubby will be home wednesday night...
Dont get me wrong, everything is great, I am just venting...__sorry!
Hope all is well with you guys

HS -- welcome to your new abode!! how's the fireplace?? well done for eating so well at such a stressful time.
Our luau went really well, i won't mention all the food and drink that was consumed, i'm back to school next week so my eating and water intake will be back to normal (i.e. good!) which is just as well, coz i feel as if i've put weight on over this weekend...i haven't had the courage to stand on the scales for a while !

Hello Everyone,
I'm Allie a scale addict. I get on the scale twice a day. In morning when I wake up and the evening before I go to bed. :goodscale :goodscale
Hope EVERYONE is having a GREAT day! :grouphug:

I did not think I had a problem with weighing myself on the scale, but after talking with a friend of mine, she has made me think otherwise.
I weigh myself two to three times in the morning (just in case it changes), when I get home from work I strip and get on the scale. I will also be on and off the scale in the evening a couple of times (removing all my clothes and then putting them back on when I am done).
I have actually found this to be somewhat beneficial because I have learned that my weight is normally the lowest in the later morning, and it also helps me to see that I have really lost weight. I also do not get upset when the numbers change throughout the day as my weight fluctuates. I also only measure my actual weight loss on a weekly basis, but using the scale daily is my motivation to keep continuing what I have been doing.

Hi Allie! Nice to meet you!
I have been so busy. Not enough time in the day to get everything done that needs to be done. I wish that I could go on a vacation. I wish I could afford a vacation! Ü
I got on the scale again and have lost another pound. To be honest, I do not want to lose anymore. There isn't going to be anything left of the girls but deflated airbags if I do!
Need to get to bed. See you all soon!

Welcome Allie & Jenn you both sound like you qualify for a SAA members badge! LOL but Jenn all that dressing and undressing must be contibuting to your daily exersice as well!  As for your routine Allie, i'm working towards weighing myself just in the morning and afternoon, so well done for keeping it under control ;) I hope you will like it here, we're a freindly bunch and support each other well.
Flower, your wasting away...9lbs PAST your goal weight!!! :yikes: You sound sooooo tired but just try to think where you were 6months ago and where you are now....this must be like a vacation, just you and your girls! Have you had any time to grow anything yet?
It's Tuesday Morning here, my girls are still in bed, it's the final week of the summer holidays for them, so i'm letting them sleep in. I start my new job on Thursday..I'm so excited I have to start college in a few weeks also for further training, so i'm also a little apprehensive as is been a while since i did any training/ further education...but hey, grab the bull by the horns and all that!! :dizzy:

Tulip Enjoy the little free time you have left! And as for training and school...I wish I could be a student for a career!Lol

FLower,,,hit the weights...keep the girls perky!!Lol
Well eating good for another day...or is it two now? I'm on for 50 hours this week and 50 hours next week at work...so I'm really staying away from crappy stuff...the wheel of death made me sick so no more wheel of death food in the cafeteria...all the more reason to cook at home and bring it to work!

Good morning ladies.
My my now there's a thought....if Leanne can get to change her flooring.....does that mean i can change my kids??? My 16yo DD is driving me mad, she has been home from school for 10 weeks and she is killing me....cheeky.....arrogant (since she got her exam results)....she thinks she can do and say what she likes.....I think its just part of growing up but I'm not used to it, she used to be such a nice little girl!!! yuck I'll swop her for Leannes dirty white floor anyday!!! LOL
HS - don't joke about being a student for a carrer, my sister has almost done that...she's 35 and has studied or gap year'd her way to motherhood without actual having a permanant full time job...her PHD is now on hold until her kids are older where she intends to finish it!!! Go figure, some people are just born layabouts (sorry that should read students!!!) LOL
Taking daughters into town today for a quick look around the shops before going back to school...we need to buy the usual, pens, pencil, sharpener type stuff...so they can lose it by the second week! lol
Eating was ok yesterday and water intake too...so hopefully i'll do the same today!
It's meant to be hot today (82F max) so i'm heading for the garden after shopping!
Bye!

Vegas is lots of fun. You can take your drink out the door into the cab and on to the next hot spot. (Can't do that here)
I wish my girls wore uniforms to school Tulip. Maybe the clothing bill would be less.
Went for a walk with the youngest. She rode her bike and we had a good time.
I have Tuesday off and I am going down to visit "the" guy. He is going to take half a day off from work. Probably won't sleep at all tonight just thinking about it. Went and bought a cute pair of thong undies for the occasion. Go ahead and call me bad, it's just hard to get any time alone when we live 70 miles away from each other and each have two kids.

Hey Ladies
Yes, I am still here....lol, labor day weekend was just that LABOR...a bout of the flu, flew through our house...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, so I am still in clean up mode...lots of fun...but almost back to normal....
The floors here are ridiculous, BUT thankfully, I do not OWN this house, it is a PMQ...(army housing) so I wont be changing the floor anytime EVER, but I know for when I do buy a house that the floor better NOT be white...lesson learned eh? We are hoping to buy a house here in the next year or so, fingers crossed...
My schedule for September is PACKED....man, if I was working AND had three kids I would be a ZOMBIE...I have so much to do this month AND my oldest starts junior kindergarten...so at least I will only have 2 kids , 2 days a week...lol...
I am doing the Terry Fox run here sept 18th...its 10km, plus my daughter turns 1 on the 22nd, hubby is doing his ironman competition on the 23rd....aaaaaaah, friends b days, training, and swimming lessons, son to school...ah ah ah ah ah...Im kidding its not so bad, I would never over schedule myself, thats just going to burn me out and make me a terrible mom...just trying to keep things busy and FUN...lol
Welcome newbies...

Hey Ladies
well Iam proud to say I am starting to only weigh myself once or twice a day which for me is great strides and progress...hehehe
Yesterday I weghed myself after I ran...hahaha, false weight but for reason my body seems to be handling stress and exercise pretty well... my eating is going to be terrible the next few weeks as it is bday fest here...one this weekend, then my daughter turns 1 on the 22nd (where has this year gone), my friends little ones bday then mine in a few weeks...(oh god, Im getting OLD) so needless to say I will be eating lots of cake and running a lot more...
I am trying really hard not to get stressed out, but my 4 year old is just getting to me....thankfully next week he'll be in school 2-3 days a week...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, maybe that will help, he is testing us big time right now. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, please tell me at SOME point it gets a little easier??
Flower- OMG, have FUN at the seahawk game...nothing like going to an NFL game...I am a Bills fan so any chance I get to go I am there....nothing like it!
HS- good job on the eating and all, dont work too hard tho!
Tulip- ah, I dont know that makes me nervous not telling or reminding people about your bday...if they dont remember you will be angry, so maybe mention it once casually just to turn the light on, then see what they do...I am such a Birthday person, I think no one should ever have to work on their bday and should be able to eat and/or bathe in chocolate as much as they want...lol
Happy Wednesday everyone!

Well birthday is a mixed bag of tricks, my friends (bless them) remembered, i had a vase of beautiful flowers brought to me in the playground, and another friend popped around with really italian coffee and cheese as a pressie (strange i know, but very much appreciated) other freinds called in to wish me happy birthday unfortunalty it was just as we were sitting down to our meal, so that was a bit twarted!!! I spent the rest of the meal, being host to them making drinks / dessert etc as my family refused to do it. Hubby made me a wonderful breakfast in bed and made sure i didn't ahve to worry about the morning lunch box marathon. But the kids did nothing apart from moan about anything i aske dthem to do and not one of them bothered to get me a card / present...it was mentioned that they didn't have time and would get me something at the weekend, even my mother sent me a cheque through the post!!!
Well i suppose i should be grateful that they remember!!
Sorry to moan, just needed to vent!!! :-(

Hiya i'm back after my rant of last message.
Was very dissapointed with my family and i think in hind sight they are very sorry. It is dad's birthday and they started out by bieng a bit lethargic (sp?) about that, but we got up early and made him breakfast in bed, they made a card AND a memory book, all about their first memories of him...it was so good it made him cry...soggy breakfast for him this morning!!! lol Tonight we have planned his fav meal ( I won't bore you with the details just in case you get peckish and nip to the fridge...not everyone has a gym outside to deter them like Leanne!! lol) Anyho...all this preparation for Dad's birhtday, i've had 3 big apologese and 3 we sorry it won't happen again!!! so it's now time to forget it (until next year!)
Leanne you look gorgous...wow you have almost made me want to take up running...(I did say ALMOST!!) what a looker you are now and your DD is only a year old...you are an inspiration to us all!
HS - you work too hard!!! slow down girl, your making me tired just reading your messages! lol
Allie - glad your feeling better, nowt worse than the flu
I'm off to eat the celebrationary meal...so....
Food - appauling
Execise - good as i'm gunna walk the dog later
water - fair

Hello everyone!!!
We had such a great time at the Seahawks game! The next day he left me a message telling me how wonderful I am and how much he hates being away from me.
My oldest daughter has a volleyball game in his town tomorrow and he is getting off work early to watch. Told me that he wants to make sure that my girls know that he is going to be supportive of everything they do.
He is just the greatest!
I am working 60+ hours this week. Splashes, how do you do it all the time? I am so tired.
Leanne- I love the picture! You are so cute!
Have a great week everyone!

Tulip, I hear ya...I can't wait for my long hot bath! Actually...I'm saving my pennies to treat myself to a day spa!!! Massage, manicure, pedicure, the works...that will be my 10lb treat to myself!
Flower!! Great to hear things are going so well! As for all my OT...it's called boring job sitting in front of a computer tracking down Identity theft victims and the culprits...this is not conducive to physical tiredness..just sheer boredom! on a good note..I helped a woman find her runaway teen age daughter this week!
Parade day tomorrow...or should I say today? Gonna watch it go right by my front steps!! Gonna go to farmer's market first around 8 am...that way I'll be back with fresh baked goods to nosh on while watching the parade!!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Parade was awesome!~ Watched from my front porch with some friends and good bottle of Bosc Pear Wine from one of our local Wineries...Then I spent the day checking out the festivities...came home, ate too much pizza...Sunday was cleaning day...then my dog got sick...don't know why...so off to the vets first thing this morning...I cried all nite and all day till I got her back and she's fine! They couldn't find anything...figger she pooped it out...
So needless to say..tired from the stresss...ate horribly..but I did get my dishes and laundry done!!!
Hope to see everyone soon!!

Hello everyone!
I have been working lots of hours. I don't care for the job, but it pays the bills.
My attorney thinks that we will be able to settle the divorce soon. He is going to pay me half of what I would have gotten if we went to court, but this way I do not have to wait years for it. I
I have seen my guy every weekend. He is sooooo nice. I am not used to a man being kind to me. He keeps telling me this is the way he is and I will just have to get used to it. The scale loves me and he loves me. I couldn't ask for anything better!
Wish we all lived close so we could get together. It would be so fun to visit and see each other face to face.
Will talk to you all soon!

Well, never thought Id say it, but I miss my hubby...now, I dont miss cleaning up after him, I just miss him....
My parents are going through the lovely world of "divorce", and its not fun...flower...how are you doing with it all?......I have known for YEARS my parents would get split, but now that it is actually happening, I cannot believe how emotional it is making me...and no one to hug me...(well the kids, but you know) So I took my 2 year old to swimming lessons...oh my god, youd think he was being killed, he kept SCREAMING MOMMY MOMMY>...I felt terrible...it lasted less than 10 minutes.
So needless to say an emotionally gripping week for me...so today I went to the gym, (the babysitter was here already since the swimming lesson was a no go)
SO I have filled the fridge with all those " go ahead and eat as much as you want food, like fruit and veggies..."
UGH..................
Thanks for letting me get it out, I feel a little better

Hellooooooooo Flower and Leann...
Good too see everyone...Congrats on all the Love Flower! Yes it would be great if we could all get together! I think once we all win the lotteries we should!Lol
Leanne, I've been thru3 divorces with my biological mother...none of them were good...even as you get older...it still hurts...and what ever you do...stay strong for yourself...don't let them use the you or the babies as tools against each other...don't let either of them guilt you into anything ...don't let them emotionally abuse you...they may not realize they are doing it because what they think they are doing is getting you to be a support for them in their down time...but it's not the right thing...you can be support for both of them without them using you other motives..subconscious or not...I've yet to see a "nice" divorce...sorry Yes I ahve...my two gay friends a guy and a girl who got married to each other to keep their families happy until they could move to canada and get a divorce and come out of the closet!Lol Keep up the swimming lessons! I still don't know how to swim!!
Keep up the love ladies!!!!

hi all
I'm nice and stress free at the moment...it's half term here in the uk, so i've only just gotten up, had a lovely breakfast (healthy) and the kids are watching tv (unheard of in term time!) Ohhh i love the holidays!!!!
Sorry to hear about your parents divorce Leanne, it's not nice at all, i agree with HS - support them but keep your distance..my mother and my step father divorced and it created havoc for the rest of us (siblings on both sides) Just remember it's their battle not yours..sounds harsh i know, but what with hubby away you need to be strong for your kiddies. as for the swimming lessons, how about just taking ryan with his big brother the public pool, no lessons just fun, maybe if your little one can just have fun in the water with no pressure of lessons he may start to enjoy it. especially if cameron like the water too, it may rub off on him??
Flower - you sound happy....work hard all week, and what a reward every weekend! I'm glad finaly things are coming around for you...how are those girls of yours enjoying their new house and happier mum?? I do agree with what your saying, it would be nice to live closer...i'll take HS advice and start doing the lottery i think ;-)
Sorry to hear your sick HS - you probably caught it off me when i logged on here last monday i was full of it...sorry! It's been right thorough our family...the little ones got it now, right at the start of her holidays!!! ahhh! Anyhoo....you look after your self, it's all that darn overtime you keep doing!
I'm eating well, drinking loads (seen as i'm at home and not in school) and exercise...could do better...well i am on holiday!!! lol
HS - are you still the gfuru of tater chips and salsa..or have you curbed those cravings??? lol

Hey Ladies
Thanks for all the help....I am taking my frustrations out on my house...it hasnt been this clean and organized since before we moved in...lol....my hubby may not know what to think when he comes home.
As for the swimming lessons, I NOW have to go in the water with him...YIKES, I HATE wearing a bathing suit and I especially hate the one I have now...I need a new one, but have to wait...yikes!
As for the divorce issue....yes, I am staying out of it as much as I can...but as an only child they are calling to ask which things I want and yada yada...lol, the only thing I want is my dad's formal dining room set, it was my Oma's and my parents got it restored and it is GORGEOUS, now with 3 kids and a tiny house, I dont actually want it until they are MUCH older and we have room for it...but, it is known that it is MINE MINE MINE...hahahaha The good thing about it all, is that we MAY actually go down to Niagara now that we will be welcomed at my dad's house...I love my mom, but she stresses me out like you wouldnt believe.
ANywho, my weight has been really really good...although I have started back to the not eating when I should and being starving/bored at night...so now that I realize it...I HAVE TO STOP...
Happy Monday everyone

Well i did my yoga....it was in a really cold gym and it was not the right type of enviroment for such activity...but if it wasn;t for that i would have enjoyed it as the tutor was great. I'm going to go again next week and if they haven't moved it to a different room, we're not staying, but going to find another class. Woke up this morning and i'd lost a pound ...so it must have done me some good...although i am a bit stiff today (that was all the shivering i did though!!!) lol
Hope your all well....and not working too hard HS or running after those kids too much leanne....and wheres flower?? chasing after that gorgeous man of hers!!!!!lol
Eating well
water - could be better (i'll try harder tomorrow)
Exersice - I havne't stoped all day does that count???

Hi all,
You work too hard HS but walking your puppies is very healthy, unfortunatly my yorkie hates walking in bad weather, he jumps up and expects to be carried if it is wet or too windy!! lol so not much exersice in bad weather.
Hope you get your work enviroment sorted out HS sounds pretty unhealthy.
Where are the others??

Hey Ladies
well finally after 2.5 years the batteries in my scale DIED...yes, this was an amzingly GOOD thing though...2 WHOLE weeks I went without weighing myself...let me tell you how absolutely wonderful it felt...and darn it, we went and bought new batteries and again I find myself running to the scale every morning...BUT, only once a day...so that is definitely an improvement.
and after 2 weeks of not weighing myself, I found I was down 1 lb to 110lbs...what the heck!! We started doing " the abs diet and workout" to help chisel our abs ( my problem area) and so far it is greeeeeeeeeeeeeat!
Hope everyone is doing well...

Congrats Leanne! Is having your batteries like going thru withdrawal when you quit smoking?lolol I have never smoked but I know friends who have and quit and their first two weeks were horrible...
What is the "ab diet & workout"? My tummy has never been the bad part.,..its my butt and thighs...but that goes without saying for the Italian in me and me being a former runner and a horserider....That's where us riders go first...Have you ever seen what happens to pro figure skaters if they don't stay in shape!!! OMIDOG!!! They have these tiny upper bodies...and these unbelievably HUGE butt and thighs...from allt he muscle going to flab....scary scary...I've just gone to flab kinda everywhere!Lol
Well I'm off for OT again...why do I do this??? THey always come to me and con me into it...but I only work one day next week...Tuesday...then I'm off for 6 DAYS!!!!!
Hope to see everyone!!!

The easiest way I can describe the abs diet and workout, is that it is designed to help acheive a 6 pack...but the workout is a combination of cardio and weight training with an emphasis on abs 2-3 days a week ...the workout is great, because weight training is what I have been lacking..and now I have stricture to my workouts and I am loving the workout and results thus far...now the diet is BLAH...but I have taken some of the principles from it, and am giving it a shot...so after just over a week, I have a 4 pack....hahaha...but, because I have had kids I have that pesky mommy area that needs tightening and seems to be doing so....so overall it really isnt so bad.
HS- great job...and OMG, my friend next door is an ex figure skater, which I found out only recently, but she has the EXACT thing you were talking about, and she explained to me that is why she is very bottom heavy...who knew eh? this was a first for me...when I was little I irish danced, and the leg muscles I had when I was 9 never went away....(thank god , now I love them)
anyways, hope everyone is doing well...

Hello everyone.
Sorry about not checking in sooner.
The great guy that I have been in love with for the last 20 years broke my heart last week. Told me that he loved me and my girls but didn't feel like we were meant to be together. Wrote this in an email after we had a great weekend together. I am just crushed. Thank God for my girls or I just feel like I could die. How do you ask someone to spend the rest of your life with them and then break up with them in an email, an email!
Not going to change my weight tracker but I have lost five pounds over this.

Oh gees flower...I am so sorry to hear that...especially in an email...that is despicable...but don't dwell on it...use it as a stepping stone to move on....
Leanne...hehehe that the thing with me being a health science student (even tho it's for horse) I've learned all about hte human body and animals and what happens...we have a type of horse shown called "halter horses" they are kinda like a cross between a bodybuilder and a moviestar...they have to have the looks of a moviestar but the body of a weightlifter...trainers put these horses on treadmills, aquacisers, all sorts of things to build up their muscles...once they stop showing, if they don't maintain consistent good diet and exercise turn into big fat obese blobs of horseflesh...just goes to show how the human world has imposed itself on the natural kingdom!
I'm starting my vacation....it's lovely day..cold but sunny!
See everyone later!

You have me rolling on the floor. This is me!! I have a love relationship with my scale. I miss it when I am on vacation. I am currently at my moms but I use her scale. I was just thinking that when we move to teh new hosue next month I might have to buy a new scale because my old one is getting a bit worn out. It actually was agift from my exboyfriend. Everyone thought I should have been insulted by this gift. He gave it to me because he had a scale. The first thing I would do when visiting him was to get on the scale. He knew I also jumped on it as soon as I woke up, before I went to be, before adn after my shower. He thought it was funnny and bought me my own for my house. But yes, I am an addict,
Naomi

Hi Babyweight
I'm glad you liked our thread. You sound like you would have fitted in really well, unfortunately we all spent far too much time on our scales than we did on our 'puters so our thread last thread (SAA Xmas Version )eventually died out!
Maybe your imput might get us off our scales and back to the keyboard..who knows!
Watch this space!!
