Default Good afternoon

We just got in from walking. I thought man it's hot..I am so out of shape. Well, could it be hot because it's 87 degrees! I've been lax on distance so we went for 2.5 miles. It was a good walk and beautiful. The butterflies were everywhere. It took some patience but I was able to get a couple on the camera.

(((Jackie))) Praying for your white count to get better and for you to get stronger. Also praying you don't catch anything. That God will wrap you in his wings and keep you safe.

Vmoore..woo hoo on being down 2 more pounds. I say pass the steak!

Mishi....hoping you get that woosh soon. ((hugzz))

Monet...hang in there. I'm so sorry your Dr. was one rude enough to think you were cheating but even more rude to tell someone. You know what you are doing. ((hugzz))

Woodfrogs..WTG getting in that workout when you didn't feel like. Some times those can be the best ones.

Tranquil...we've been working a lot outside also. Not flowers but in mom's veggie garden. There are tomato and squash on the plants already. I can't wait to enjoy them.

Gator..WTG with all your walking and the scales moving down.

Teensy...looks like ya'll will be eating GOOD...

Howdy Nat, Jackie0...Deb...Fruit..Bob..Beth..and everyone. LOVE and HUGS.
Hope everyone has a happy and blessed Easter.

Crystle

VMoore, guess yoru body realized you weren't starving it. Congrats on the loss.

Crystal, i was just thinking this morning, if the Lord was carrying me he needs to lift me up a little as I seem to be dragging my feet. Just got to give it up to Him and let it be. Have a blessed Easter.

Heading to the fish fry. Don't think I'm gonna work just sit and eat. Will keep a safe distance from everyone. Easter is at my house. Luckily I only have to go buy a ham and fix some green beans and everyone else is bringing something.

Have a Happy & Blessed Easter Everyone.

Jackie

I checked out the dietpower, but it looks like it is only made for PCs. I've got a Mac, which I love. Guess I'll stick with Fitday, which works pretty well for me in figuring out my menus. I have added a bunch of custom foods, which makes it easier.

I had a bit of a downfall today. My French teacher invited the whole class over for crepes and French. That means we only talked in French--no English. She fixed a ton of crepes and we all brough toppings or fillings. I brought 2 packages of fresh raspberries. One of the kids had a birthday. And I do mean kids. Everyone there, except for the teacher and one other person, was probably 21 or younger. They do treat me really nicely, though! Anyway, I had one crepe filled with raspberries and something called Nutella. Apparently you can get Nutella here in the US, but the teacher got this in France and she said it was a ton better than the US product. Well, it was chocolate, and goooooood! I checked the calories and it was about 100 Kcal per Tbs. Then I had a small piece of birthday cake (ice cream cake). Of course, that was definitely off plan. When I got home, back on plan. The difficulty with planning on eating a certain amt. of protein and fiber is that you can't just subtract some food arbitrarily, because, substituting a piece of cake, say, for the meat calories I'd planned for dinner, eliminates some of those protein grams I need. So, I either have to be a bit stronger about not touching the junk, or go easier on myself when I slip. This was, however, my only slip this week. And I don't plan on making a habit of it. I probably need to figure out some menu that includes some leeway for "slippage." That means, though, that on that day I'll be eating a ton of beans for the fiber and chicken or fish for low cal. protein.

Have a nice evening, everyone.

Good Morning! I ended up cooking dinner for a friend yesterday. Her mother passed away on Thursday evening. We spent some time at their house helping out and just being there. There was not much legal food to eat, so I did not eat much. I had a slice of a Jamaican bread, that was made with white flour, just to try it. That and some juice is all I had. My menu for yesterday is not too good:

B- yogurt with oats, coffee with half and half
S- yogurt with oats
L- whey protein bar
S- some fruit nibbled from fruit salad I was making
D- 1 slice of Jamaican bread, juice

Will try and get my veggies in today, since I did not yesterday.

Today should be a bit less busy than yesterday, but I have to try some Thai recipes to make sure I get them right before fixing them for 40 on Monday night! Ack! I hope I don't screw up royally on this one!

Hope every one has a great weekend!

Hey guys. I'm pooped. I was only staying up this late to see the weather. Looks like we are going to have a "wet" Easter. Ah, well. I know you guys aren't going to believe this, but I weighed 164 this morning! I can hardly believe it myself. And I stepped on the scale around 10 times. TOM arrived a couple days ago and I was peeing like crazy(a first). I've been 100% OP all week. Oh yea, I bought a size 12 capris and a size 12 jeans Friday. ALL of the 14's fell off of me! That was pretty exciting. I know that tomorrow will definetly not be OP, but I will NOT go hog-wild. I plan on having one plate and pick one dessert. We're having it at our friend's house and it will be starch city. But all I'm thinking about is watching my portions and getting right back on track! Funny how a couple of pounds can change your mindset.

Happy Easter!!

Just a quickie to check in. Eating was good all weekend. TOM arrived on Friday. Sort of unexpected, but glad to get it over with. Had a lower backache with it for two days. Was better today. Have a wedding to go to next weekend. So glad it will be passed by then.

The weather has been absolutely wonderful. We mowed the grass today, so I guess winter really is over, lol. The dandelions are blooming beautifully.....wish my flowers bloomed as proficiently as they do.

I am going to try to get Bazal into the vet first thing in the morning. His poor hip is really bad, he holds the leg up off the ground all the time, and limps everywhere. We have steps going out both the front and back door, so the poor baby is really having a rough time. I help him up and down when I can get to him fast enough, but sometimes he tries it before I can reach him. Then tonight, he couldn't keep his dinner down. And he isn't eating much. I am going to talk to the Dr. and then it may be time for us to make our decision. This is going to break my heart.

Well, guess that is about it for now. See you all tomorrow!!
