I wish I knew who was right! But, I'm not as convinced as I was that it is calories in and calories out. Anyway, I'll keep doing what I know works, even if slowly: better food and more moving.

This evening I'm going out on a local lake with some women I've met and watching the moon rise. Now, just how cool is that?!

Robin has taken off for a few days to Va with his daughter to a funeral for an old family friend.
I took this chance since I am so tired from traveling to stay home & rest.

Since we are together 24/7 it is so nice to have the house to myself ..

I need to work on better routines ...I am so disorganized with my time...

Vickie..glad Brodie is better...My skipper is doing better than before also.

Sloan..you always get so much done..impressive..

I only have about 1 more month before I am job hunting.. I worry about how tired I am always and how that will be when I am working full time.

Maryann. glad your pain is better..It is hard to lose while you are hurting..

We should be home mid-afternoon tomorrow. This trip has been a regular whirlwind. The grands look great and Man! have they grown! They may get to come to Texas to visit us next year. They've never seen our new home. They used to spend the night with us a lot when we were in Montana--we miss that.

As to eating? I have had wayyyyy too many calories even though I've made better choices than I normally do when traveling. Last night Curtis' daughter and I had a margarita together while watching the grands swim. Life is good.

Maryann, I have another dear friend who lost her husband this past year. Both of you are remarkably strong women. I applaud you both. I'm so glad your daughter's coming to be with you. It's so important to have a support system no matter how strong you are.

Vickie, how did Brodie do on the walk? He's a feisty little rascal, isn't he? I am amazed at you under pressure. You're a "Cool Chick." I don't think I could be that cool under those circumstances.

I veered off program. This afternoon I ate 2 servings of mixed nuts. Why? I convinced myself that was a good choice since the convenience store didn't have fresh fruit. I'm a good talker and can talk myself into about anything. I hope there are ripe bananas all along the interstate tomorrow.

Sloan, I yelled again. Scared Curtis, too. I again am impressed with all your energy. You go, girl!

Rhonda, your evening on the lake sounds wonderful.

Nancy, we drove over 9 hours today and were thinking that was like a day's work on a job. Sometimes when I sub, I get just as tired. What kind of work do you do? Is it school-related?

I have about 2 more weeks before I'll weigh in so maybe I can get off what I've gained this week before then. I hope so. We'll be busy getting the place in order the next few days before Curtis' surgery. After that--I may be the main mower for awhile. (but it's a riding mower) Maybe I'll sweat some pounds off.

Got to go. Next time I'm here, we should be home. Life is good.

Hey chicks, I am at my sister's house again. Night three of the margarita maratihon. I did not get as much done today as I would have liked. I plan to make some roman shades tomorrow for my living room windows. I still have two other rooms to get window treatments made for. Hopefully, I will get a lot done this week as we will be in school next week.

Sandra, have a safe "last leg" of your trip. I think I heard your shouts today. Thanks!

Nancy, alone time sounds good to me. I love having my family around me, but I also love time to myself.

Vickie, how is Brodie? I hope his first walk went well. We had Pippi groomed, and she looks so funny! I have had to put her fleece coat on her 'cause she keeps shivering

Rhonda, sounds like you are making some pretty cool friends.

Maryann, sounds like things are going well.

This is the last Margarita night for a while. I'll let you all know how the weight is when I check it on Monday. Have a great night, y'all!
