Hello all. It's been a while but I've been busy busy busy with Christmas and all these new babies!! I have been shopping up a storm, and not just for Christmas either!! I got 5 new shirts yesterday!! I got three of them from Kauffmans for $27 TOTAL. Isn't that awsome!? I also got two new Tommy shirts which I love. His shirts fit me so well but I don't like the jeans at all. My dh gave me an early Christmas present which was a new faucet on the kitchen sink!!
It's one of those goose-neck ones. I love it. I have been having a very good month Except for weightloss. I'm only down one pound for this challenge o far. But I'm still working out and my food choices are better than they used to be, that's for sure! Right now I'm trying to keep up my exercise habits and at leaST being AWARE of what I eat. After the holiday I will be putting it in high gear. I have to go help hubby with some work on the house now so TTFN. Have a GREAT day everyone!!

Where is everyone?? Do you all have my shopping bug too? I got on the scale this morning and I am down one more pound. 182. Too bad I can't "count" it till the end of this challenge now! One day sooner darn it!! But I'm pretty happy about it anyway. I've started jogging a little, and I do mean a LITTLE! But it burns calories soo much faster then walking! Right now I'm getting in about 3 miles a day and it's taking around 45 mins. I'd love to be able to get closer to 5 miles a day in the same amount of time. Now that's a goal to aspire too!!!! I know you can burn so many more on those eliptical machines but I just bought my treadmill. I really don't want to kill my dh. My goal is to burn as many calories as possible in 30-45 mins. My biggest problem right now is my bra. I am pretty big and I need a good sports bra but I don't know where to even look for one. I am very picky about bras. Right now I only wear this one type that I order from a catalog but it doesn't have the support to jog in it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any other big chests on here? Thanks for any input and ya'll take care!! TTFN,

Hi Serena! I don't know from personal experience - lol - but I've read that women with larger busts should wear TWO sports bras - one over the other to give them more support while jogging or working out. What about Walmart - it's amazing how many options they carry in stretch bras.

Default Hey ,I'm still here :)

Hey I'm still hanging around lol. I'm sure most of the folks are trying to get their last minute shopping done !
Laney I used to be big chested when I first started to lose weight. I was wearing a 38-40 D . Now I'm in a 34-36 C . It depends on the style and fabric. And I never understand about measuring under your breast to get the number and over the breast,if its 3 inches bigger or 5 inches bigger that determines your cup size. Mine is 32 inches under breast and 36 over. Anyway! lol My main reason for not jogging is that I HATE my boobs bouncing all over the place! I usually pick a sports bra if the fabric is thick and has good lycra stretch. I dont bother with those thin lycra bras. Pat yourself on the back for that 1 lb loss.
It's not easy losing weight over the holidays. I have no idea what I plan to cook on Tuesday. I asked my DH what he wanted for dinner, I said ANYTHING . His answer? " Porkchops!" ugh! out of all the yummy things I know how to cook he wants porkchops! lol
He'd be happy with scrambled eggs, onions rice and beans! I'm not planning a big dinner that's for sure! Everyone always comes to my house for holiday dinners. This year I'm keeping my mouth shut and just cooking something simple for us. Well I better go!

I'm trying to be good, really. I did my WATP tape this morning and everything. Then, a friend had a gift certificate to a local seafood restaurant that's right on the marina and it's about to expire, so he invited me and another mutual friend to go to lunch with him. OMG! Shrimp fettucini, garlic bread, crab cakes and to top it off we split this 7-layer chocolate fudge cake with ice cream and chocolate sauce for dessert. It was heavenly. After a bit, though, I stopped and asked myself, is the bite I just took as heavenly as the first bite. The answer was no and I was able to quit. My friends both left the restaurant feeling sick. I was right on the edge, but not quite there.
I can't begin to count calories for the day. I didn't eat much else today and don't plan to except maybe some fruit later. Tomorrow could be O.K., but there's a potluck at work on Xmas eve and then Christmas, I don't know. I didn't do terribly on Thanksgiving, but there wasn't all the chocolate there will be for Christmas. How is everyone else planning to handle this week?

*Grumble grumble*

Hi everyone! I am back from our little trip, and let me just say I am loathe to get on the scale anytime soon! I sure did go off the deep end, and I have lots of mixed feelings about it. I think I will need lots of support for the next week or so to regain my focus, but I should come through and get back on program ASAP.

I have to say, it's a little scary how easy it is to go back to old ways of eating no matter how confident you feel otherwise. In a way, I see this weekend as being a learning time -- that I can't be too cocky about my progress, that after two months I am NOT "cured" of the junk food habit, and that I still have lots of work to do. If I don't get back to it right away, I fear, I may ... I don't know!

I won't ramble on too much here, but I'm a little stressed and needed to vent. I hope that is OK!

Congratulations to everyone for doing so great this past weigh-in. I hope that I can at least be at my original Christmas goal of 285. I would be happy with that. Wish me luck!

Well I know I won't be attaining my goal of 190 for Christmas but I am just content with the feeling that I am under 200.

Today was one Christmas party out of the way. I was on cloud nine when my weight loss was noticed without mentioning it myself. Wow and coming from another woman it felt really nice. My cousin-in-law is the sweetest. She said it was quite noticeable. I guess it is since the last time I had seen her was last Christmas and I was weighing somwhere around 225. I was so happy to hear. Of course others mentioned how well I looked but I see them often. I was pretty good food-wise. I only picked at a few things and actually shared the sweets with DH.

Today was also DH 32nd birthday. I took him to see the 2nd part to Lord of The Rings; without the kids! So he really enjoyed himself. It was a good movie very long though. I can't wait for the next part to come out.

Anyhow I am trying to get to 190 by the end of the year and I may get there. However my scale has not moved AT ALL! Di gave me an idea and I have been drinking more than the 8 suggested glasses of water and it seems to be doing what it should be doing. I just hope I see something happen with my scale soon. I also started a journal and I am hoping it will keep me on track.

Well Christmas is quickly sneaking up and in case I don't get another chance to tell you all...Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Feliz Navidad, and Happy Holidays.

Love to You ALL!

Merry Christmas eve eve. I havn't been on in a while and boy have I been left behind.

I have been eating everything in site and there has been alot in site. I am trying to keep my head up though. Christmas is almost over and all of the goodies will be gone.

Everyone sounds like they are doing good. Keep it up.

I will keep my head up and look forward to Thursday.

Thanks for the bra tips! I forgot about wearing one over top of another, I'll have to try that. I HATE having my boobs bouncing all over. I keep picturing the skin stretching and sagging more then they already do! Or getting whacked in the face with a flying breast. But I also don't want to let that hold me back, yk? So I went to Kohl's today and the grocery store. The grocery store was insane! But Kohl's and the mall area didn't look too bad at all. I have to go back out with my sister tomorrow to do my fathers shopping for my mom. (He's working out of town and can't do it) That should be interesting. I don't think I've ever gone shopping on Christmas eve before. I'm kinda scared. I have a CHristmas party to go to tonight for a volunteer group that I'm involved with. It's going to be a whole family affair. Taking ALL of the kids out dressed up, this should be fun! OH well, gotta go wrap and cook, TTFN,

Default Early, Merry Christmas

I dont know if I will have a chance to pop in tomorrow. I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! TOmorrow is the last day of the challenge. You can PM me if you have any changes in your weight. I will probably be starting a new challenge on Christmas or the 26th. I will be away on the 26th so I have to try and get online early on Thursday!
I gave the mortgage bank the boot today! It was going on 3 months and they were still telling me we were about to close anyday! Each week the bank kept requesting some other paper which the mortgage had already sent them like 2 weeks previously! My face has a total breakout of pimples and they are painful! Its not due to foods but due to stress. My hubby has also been feeling sick to his stomach with stress and I couldnt stand it. I spoke to the bank folks today and said ENOUGH. I lost about $600 in appraisals, fees, letters, overnight packages. And lost 3 months of my time . So we are going back up to where my lot is and going with another builder who is cheaper, has their finance dept right there in one of the home models. My brother went through them and the approval process was super fast and his house will be ready to move in by this March coming up! And they just started to build this month! The house is the about the same size ,actually like 50 sq ft bigger at 3,054 sq ft. But we will be installing the extras ourselves. I wont pay $5,000 just to have tiles in the living area! I can do an entire house for that much.
Anyway enough about my problems! But it sure did feel great to send someone to H E double hockey sticks! lol

Default I'm clearly insane

Ya know...I'm broke this year, so what did I decide to do for Xmas gifts? Make candy. DUH. Well, I've been putting it off. My daughter and I did some white chocolate in molds, but the bulk of stuff I left until about 10:00 tonight. That explains why I'm still awake at 3:30 A.M. I'm pulling an all-nighter. That way I can just enjoy Christmas Eve. I'm going to take a break from the candy. Have no idea how much I've eaten, but my teeth feel like they've got fur on them! Gonna brush my teeth and wrap presents.
Laney, I laughed so hard at the "flying breast" comment I almost peed my pants. I don't even know if I want to step on the scale. Think I'll just leave it at 4 pounds lost this challenge (6 lost, 2 gained back). Merry Christmas to all. (and to all a good night?)

Well, I am happy to say that I am almost back to my lowest weight again *and* I still surpassed my original challenge goal of 10 pounds. I weighed in at 283.5 this morning which puts me at a 1.5 lb gain since last week, but I am happy with my total challenge loss of 11.5 lbs!

I couldn't have done it without your support! Gennel, count me in for your next challenge!

Happy Christmas to everyone!

Congratulations

I'm so proud of all of us. Whether it's win, lose or draw in the weight game - we're all looking optimistically to the New Years challenge.

I didn't lose anything this week - but I didn't gain anything either. I also didn't walk this week. Gotta get off my butt and get the WATP tapes into the VCR again and get moving.

Wishing you all a safe and warm and happy holiday!
