I'm a bit more new to the forums, longtime lurker really, for about four years. Finally wanting to be accountable and try this as it's the first of the month!

SW: 185 CW: 178.2 Overall Goal Weight: 160

End of May Goal Weight: 180

I just bought a digital scale for the first time and so I'm a bit higher than I'd have liked. I had 185 for May 1, so I guess the real count starts May 2nd?

1. 185
2. 188.8 (not too sure about this since I weighed in afternoon rather than usual morning.)
3. 185.6
4. 183.4
5. 183.2
6. 182
7. 181.2 (1st week / - 3.8lbs total)
8. Out of town and my "cheat day", good Italian Canadian food. Didn't weigh in.
9. 182.2 (Thankful I hadn't gained more, but I sort of controlled myself.)
10. 182.2
11. 182.2 (Mini plateau?)
12. 182.2
13. Didn't weigh in.
14. Didn't weigh in. (2nd week / -2.8lbs total)
15. 180.8 (Wow, well uh, there goes that mini plateau, lol.)
16. 180.8
17. 180.6
18. 179.6 (I want to estimate the last time I was in the 170s was maybe last April.)
19. 179.0
20. 179.0
21. 178.8 (3rd week / -6.2lbs total)
22. 178.2
23. 177.6
24. 177.2
25. 176.6
26. 176.8
27. Just about TOM so I won't weight in for the next few days until the 31st, we'll see when it comes and goes. I've gained a little more weight even after following my usual plan, so I'm thinking it's this.
28. -
29. -
30. -
31. 178.2 (Still TOM, but apparently I'm in the week before because nothing has showed up, yet.)

I have a lot going on this month! I guess my goal is to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 205 by the end of the month. I would really like to be 199 but I'm not sure how realistic that is!

05/01: 207.8
05/02: 210.2 Lovely start! UGH!!!!

Hey everyone

Started the month yesterday holding steady at 211.7. But down this morning by 2.3 to 209.4. Great way to start off yet another trip. Off to Montreal tomorrow for work, so next two days will be eating out and no weigh ins. Next WI will be Thursday (a week before vacay). I'm not going to hit Onederland before then, but what can you do?

Good morning and happy Monday

@SmilingAtTheFuture and Neptune! We're a really supportive bunch here so I hope you check-in and post often. I'm grateful to have found this thread and have learned so much from the regular posters. Good luck with your goals!

@lovemylife001: I'm so sorry to hear that your ! What a pain! Nice to have phones to check in on though, right? Not my preferred method but it will do when I need to communicate Hope you're up and running again soon!

Thanks, Martine! I'll take all the positive thoughts I can get!

Wow, Kukkie! I can't believe your vacation is just right around the corner. When you first mentioned it, it sounded so far off and now it's here. Crazy! You've been working really hard at the weight loss gig so give yourself some credit and don't let not getting to Wonderland interfere with your enjoyment of your vacation.

Weight was at 210.8 this morning which is down from the weekend. I'm making a deliberate effort to drink more water so maybe this helped a bit. I'm teaching a class this afternoon so I'm off to finish up my presentation.

Good luck to you, too!! I've gained - but just like every other month I'm still in the game and giving it another shot. We have to be proud that we aren't giving up all hope

I also don't want surgery but downtime shouldn't be long. This has definitely hindered my weight loss some. I was hoping to be at 210 by Mother's Day, I'm at 214.8 right now and I really don't think I'm going to lose that in just over a week. Haven't really been sticking to plan cuz I haven't really been able to eat, yesterday was the first day in a week I could eat anything substantial. Drinking has been fine but food not so much. I'm also not able to work, had to take medical leave which is rough with just my hubby working but hopefully I will be back to work next weekend! Hope everyone has a great start to May!
Hope you get to feeling better soon. Is it a kidney stone? Or a gall bladder? Either way, those are both intense. I had kidney stones last year several times - and I've had them in years past. Had a friend that had gall stones, that looked even worse if that's possible. Hope you heal soon!

Wow, what a month! Try and remember to enjoy the moments - there's too many moments in my past that I attended not nearly as excited or "in the moment" as I should have been because I didn't hit X weight. Still learning..

I start traveling again this week - new project in Philly - nervous but we can do it! Hope you're doing well

akelly728 glad you are hanging in there. I could never give up, my health dépends on this.

loveofmylife001 hope that your laptop can be repaired quickly. I used to only have a PC and then one birthday, my husband got me a laptop and it's become such a useful tool.

curvynotlumpy and Kukkie84 good job on being down since this weekend

Neptune and SmilingAtTheFuture I too was a longtime lurker. But posting has allowed me to find great support from everyone on this thread.

2 days down, 2 days on plan and drinking more water. And I actually left work on time instead of putting in extra time. I'm doing my best to take better care of myself physically and mentally.

And so the travel diaries begin. No weigh in for me this morning; it was wayyy too early when I left for the airport. I did bring along my 1L Nalgene bottle in my carry on (empty of course), but this should help me at least keep my water levels up while I'm away. Otherwise, you sort of end up concerned about how much money you're spending on bottled water and you don't want to have to keep running to the stores to buy more water. It's a weird conundrum.

Kukkie84 about your travels to Montreal, may I ask what work you do? It's a good thing that you brought your bottle with you, both for your health and for the environment. Temperatures should go up this week, lovely Spring weather we're having, should be nice for you.

On to day 3, meals made for the day, working the afternoon/evening shift. Have a nice day everyone!

Good morning

It's going to be a beautiful day here. Weather wise where I live, we're at the point where the lows may drop into the upper 50s or lower 60s, but it's so pleasant sleeping with the window open.

Martine, I notice by your stats you've lost roughly a pound per day. When I saw that I thought to myself, "wouldn't it be neat if the trend continued and you continued losing a pound every day this month"?! I know the body rarely, if ever, works like that but a girl can dream! At any rate, great job on the consistent losses

@Jb1975: I feel your struggle. Your stats look like mine; down a little, up a lot. Down a lot, up a lot, etc...with no reason (okay, sometimes there is a reason ) I wish weight-loss was linear but it's not

@Kukkie84: Good that you're toting your water bottle. You've got that covered for your trip. I always think it's good when a person can maintain some good habits on trips and vacations.

@bigjoe: Very reasonable goal, Joe! You'll make it, no doubt!

Everyone have a great day!

Good Tuesday Morning Everyone

Well my laptop was going to cost too much to repair, so I bought a new notebook tablet. It's really nice. It's touchscreen and you can swivel the screen to turn into a tablet. I just finished setting it up, now time for work. I'll be back to my regular posting tomorrow morning. Have a great day everyone and welcome to all the new posters!
