Weighed in yesterday, lost 0.6 this week, my lowest loss yet. It's a little disappointing since I was about 95% on plan ( and 100% with exercise) but in the long run I'm trying to look at it as a positive, that's still 0.6 pounds I don't have. 10 weeks on the program, 21.6 pounds, so that's a good average. And as I plan to eat this way forever (making appropriate U-turns as expected after special occasions, etc) I can't be too disappointed.

My energy level is definitely up and I feel much stronger. Also 6 inches gones from my waist.

They say if you drink enough water it will ramp up your metabolism. You need to stay hydrated so your body can work properly.

Just a quick check-in to say HI and let you all know that you're not seeing things! I had my screen name changed. I love the cool shades of blue and find it very serene, so I went with Blue Serenity. I decided I needed a more peaceful, calming name. My other name was "inspired" by negative feelings I was using to fuel my weight-loss efforts. I'm done with that now. I'm ready to move on!!!

Have a great day!

(This is starting to sound like spam ... I've posted this message on 3 or 4 threads now LOL)

Great new name, Blue - and easier for us to type!

On the water question - yes, I try to drink a minimum of 64 oz. a day, and possibly more. I am really good at drinking it at work, and then tend to drink nothing at home in the evenings. I really need to work on that!

I had a great weekend - got exercise in and food was pretty good. My scale at home is pretty unreliable, so I have no idea if I lost 1# or if I lost 3# this week - I saw both numbers - depends on when you get on it! Either way, it's a step in the right direction, so I'm happy with that!

LOL, thanks BfL_Cat! Congrats on the scale moving!

My scale moved too! I decided to make today my first official weigh-in (as well as my regular weigh-in day since I managed to keep the same weight for 2 days now). LOL I'm down 4 lbs. from my start date. Sure hope I can keep the ball rollin'!

Hey everyone! Anyone have any new recipe ideas they'd like to share? I'm always looking for new things to make! I like to keep DH guessing!

Today I'm eating leftovers from last night - I took that broccoli, red onion, raisin, bacon, sunflower seed salad, and added cut-up poached chicken. It's great! The dressing is FF mayo, vinegar and sugar, but I cut way back on the sugar - I don't like my main dishes sweet!

I've decided that I like poached chicken - it stays so moist and is easy to cube because of that. Never dried out like baked or grilled can get.

Lunch is almost over, so I'd better run - have a great day everyone!

I get Women's Health Magazine, a couple of months ago they had a big recipe section. I made a 1 dish meal with tilapia, kale and black beans that was really good, if anyone's interested I will look it up. I've been meaning to try some of the other recipes too.

Weigh in today and guess what, it's ONEDERLAND! (Is there a copyright on that phrase?

I will post the tilapia recipe tomorrow, been running behind on everything last couple of days.

My knee has really been bothering me so yesterday I did what the doctors recommended everyone do in first or second week, went shoe shopping. A friend of mine is the manager in the shoe section of a really cool sportswear store here so I had him analyze my walk, talk about what I've been doing, etc., anyway, came away with a really cool pair of shoes with a lot of support (apparently I 'overpronate) and a half dozen new pairs of socks. I could really tell the difference when I walked today. I have walked at a very easy pace the last couple of days so hope this does the trick, if not I may have to lay off walking a few days and concentrate on strength training.

Hope everyone's weekend is great. It's cooler here in Texas today, what a relief.

Karen
