Default scale help

Ok so heres the deal....I used to have a ww digital scale and I loved it. I had this scale for 5 or more years and it was always consistent and I trusted the # it gave me. Well......it went belly up a few months ago so I purchased a new one still with the ww logo and, it was very inconsistent. So I took it back got another one and same prob... took it back purchased a different brand that only worked for a week and then went crazy....I have now tried 4 different brands and thought I had finally found a good one but now it too after only 1 month is not being very consistent....I wouldnt mind if I could just get on it 3-4 times and use the average but when I say inconsistent i mean it is all over the place....Ill step on it and it will say 223 I will step right back on it and it will read 233 then again and it is 228 and then it will be 238....does anyone have a recommendation for a accurate, reliable scale that they trust....Its so aggravating to not know if what Im doing is working or not...or if I need to tweek my plan some or add more exercise or what have you....any help would be great...thanks

Hi! Your situation sounds exactly like mine! I didn't have a WW scale but I do have a taylor digital scale. It would give you 4 different readings if you stepped on it 4 times in a row. Very frustrating I know. I just bought a Tanita scale and it is great! You can step on it 3, 4, 5, etc times in a row and it gives you the same reading each time (you might get a .2 difference but that can happen if you aren't standing squarely on it and you lean a little bit to the side, but that is more from the way you stand, not the scale being off). I absolutely love this Tanita scale! Now I know when I step on it that the weight I see is my weight, and I don't have to step on it 3 times and take the average and just basically guess my weight. I really recommend trying a Tanita scale - we got the BF679W Duo scale that has the body fat % on it (I don't really need that part). It's a bit pricey (I think 50-60 dollars) but to me it is worth the price for knowing your weight.

my mother in law bought me a new scale for christmas... all fancy with all the bells and whistles.. and it's terribly inconsistent. I wish I hadn't thrown out my old one... that one was working just fine, but I figured since I had a brand spanking new one, I didn't need the old one taking up space. Now when I weigh myself, I kinda move it into 4 different spaces, step on it multiple times, and then take the average. Talk about a lotta work for nothing, lol.

I have the same problem with my scale. I can get on and off several times in a row and get different numbers each time. Also, if I move it around the bathroom the reading changes.

I have been trying not to see how low it will go. But, it is so hard when I know if I just move it or get off and back on it could change.

We went through two scales with the WW logo on them in the past two years. After the second one started being all over the place, we went out to get a different scale and ended up with a Healthometer with a wide platform, for about $30. It doesn't have bells & whistles like storing numbers or calculating body fat. But so far it seems more consistent than what we had...and is reading me closer to what the scale at my first WW meeting read me. Hopefully it will hold out for us!

I got the cheap digital one at target, and it works just fine. I was going to get the ww one, but it did not seem to have anything more to it (other then the logo) then the cheaper brand.
