Have any of you had any problems posting here? I have, that's why this is the first message for a while.

Kramer was sick at the doggy hotel the first couple of days. He was on medicine for diarhea (No clue on spelling!) He is down to 13 pounds, usually 15. He will hardly let me out of his sight now.

I didn't know B&N offered classes. That's neat. Might have to check in to them sometime.

I keep saying that I am never taking another class in my life. I'm too close to retirement to be messing with classes, right?

I went in to school last night and moved 2nd grade workbook boxes from the lounge to my classroom. Tonight Tim and I were at school for a while unpacking and counting books and putting them in classrooms for the other teachers.

Tomorrow night, we are going back to school and Tim is going to get some service hour time for Boy Scouts. He is going to be moving boxes to other grade levels, and he is also going to be helping the principal with some things on Thursday. He needs the hours and he usually helps out at school anyway, so he might as well be getting credit for it.

Found out yesterday that they are using my classroom for summer school. I had planned to work in the room a few days this week in the morning while it is cooler. That blows that idea! (unless I want to go in about 6:00! NOT!) I just wish they would've told me.

Not doing the best on eating this week. I dread the Thursday weigh-in. I feel like I'm still in the vacation mode!

Hi Susan & Tammy,
Maybe more of the group are having trouble getting in here to post.
Tammy, boy you are getting a head start. Tim sounds like a fantastic son, helping you out & getting points to boot.
I'm so sorry Kramer was sick. He probably was stressed out over being left in that place and being away from you.

Susan, what did you get your Masters in? Was it Edu.? You might have told us & I don't remember.

My husband continue to amaze me. He's lost another 1.5 pounds. He's lost over 30 lbs. now and looks sooooo good. I don't know how much more he'll lose. I think he wants to lose another 30.

We had a rain storm this afternoon. It cooled things down. Maybe I can walk tomorrow after work. We'll see.

Hi can I join in your Thursday chatter gang? I just started the ww program at home about two weeks ago. I had my second weigh in this week with a total loss of 7 pounds. I really feel good about this since I have done nothing but gain weight for a year.

I work as a braille transcrpitionist at a jr. high school and we will be starting back on the 20th as well. I'm really ready I think because I haven't been able to do a lot this summer since my back went out. It's much better now, just in time for work!! LOL

Staying on the program hasn't been too awful hard the past couple weeks, but I think it will be easier when I go back to work. I won't have so much free time to think about food.

The hardest part of the day for me is nite time. I'm home alone at nite. But since I started program it has been so much easier for me to not binge. I make sure to save a snack for the nite time and a diet coke.

Anyway it's good to meet you and I look forward to losing along with you.

Hey Sandra! Welcome to the group. Sometimes there are more of us!! I haven't been faithful at all about staying OP. I don't know why I do it to myself, but I do.

Our students start the 27th, teacher's first day is the 24th. Today I spent a couple hours there going through posters that I had stuffed in a locker. I sorted out some that I probably won't use and left them on a table for the summer school teachers to pass out to those kids. I'm sure I'll find more things as I get the room ready. They have summer school all next week too.

Tina, your hubby is doing great! I'm impressed. How are you doing? Our school secretary has lost 60 pounds since the beginning of February. She looks fantastic! Still has more to lose, but she is thrilled with what she has accomplished.

It rained for a little bit today, but not long enough. Our yard is brown in spots. I gave up worrying about some of the flowers outside. Next year I'm putting out plastic flowers!!

I didn't see a weigh in thread yet, so I'll just post here in case I have trouble again. I was up 2 pounds this morning. I'm back into the habit of drinking "real" Pepsi instead of diet. Dumb move on my part, I know.

Hi all,

Sandra, a woman after my own heart!!!!! Another Diet Coke drinker. I have a tough time drinking only one a day.
Welcome to the group. We're so glad you're here!

Tammy, I did good OP today. However, I gained 1/2 pound at weigh in. I was happy it wasn't more. It hasn't been a good points week for me.
I like your idea of plastic flowers. I thnk I'll get plastic grass from now on.

Susan, we got a little rain yesterday and today. I have a few special plants in a front flower bed that I'm trying to keep alive. Maybe my water bill won't be as high, if it keeps this up.

Talk to everyone later.

Hi,

Welcome Sandra, we have a great group here!!! I'm a special ed teacher. My best friend is a vision specialist!!! We start back next Thursday and the kids come on Monday the 20th.

Ok girls, we need to get going again. I skipped weigh in today. I know I'll be up. We can do this!!! I plan on making it to my goal, but at this rate, I'm only pushing it back (this is a little pep talk to myself

Tammy, plastic flowers is a great idea. Mine start off pretty and by this time of the summer it is just too hot. They all turn brown.

Tina, I'm addicted to Diet Dr. Pepper. One is never enough!!!

Have a great evening,
Susan

Buon giorno, tutti!

After much soul-searching (influenced no doubt by the great food and abundant wine consumed in Rome), I decided that yes, I did need to face reality and come home. Actually, after 2 1/2 weeks, I was ready to do so. It was an incredible trip, though! I dropped my pictures off this morning and will go pick them up shortly. My goal is to get them into an album this weekend, because otherwise they'll sit in the hideous pile with all my other pictures for the last several years and collect dust.

I was very proud of myself. In the 17 days that I was gone, I only gained a pound. And if you saw how much prosciutto, mozzarella, wine, bread, etc. that we were eating, you'd be amazed!! I did weigh myself every day there (gotta love weighing in kilograms vs. pounds -- my weight went down by more than half ) just to make sure I wasn't getting too carried away. LOTS of walking and swimming (my aunt has a pool in her back yard) helped keep things manageable. Now don't you think that should inspire me to exercise here? We'll see!

Hope everyone is well. I'll try to catch up on reading the posts at some point, but with all the laundry, mail, etc. that I have to catch up on, it's rather unlikely that I'll do very well at that.

Laura, welcome home!! With all of that yummy food, I would be thrilled with the one pound! I already have our Disney pictures in an album, but I still have other pictures like you do. The envelopes look very classy in the basket that I have them in (yea, right!).

People south of us had quite a bit of rain today. We had nothing.

We're supposed to have my nephews tomorrow and Sunday. We're going to take them to a museum in a town about 7 miles from here. We've taken Tim there a lot, but these boys have never been there. They only live a mile from us, I'm kind of surprised that my brother has never taken them there.

After church Sunday, we are having our church picnic. A couple people who attend the church play in a steel drum band. They will be performing at the picnic. Should be alot of fun. I just hope it isn't too hot.

Laura, Welcome Home
We missed you online. It sounds like you had great fun. I can't even imagine how wonderful all that food tasted. Is your aunt a gormet cook?
Congrats on not gaining tons.

No rain for us this weekend.
I'm staying in anyway. Germs have been flying around the office and landed on me. I've got a sore throat and headache. I'll take advantage of the weekend and do nothing.
Oh, my new dryer should be here in about 30 minutes. I'm sooooo excited. Now I can wash & dry the rest of the day.

Tammy, some people just don't go to museums, or anywhere else. I'm glad you can take the boys. I hope the weather is good for your church picnic.

The boys loved the museum! It was extra special because there is a picture hanging there that shows a bunch of milk trucks for a milk delivery place that was in town. The picture was from 1957. My dad and his brother were both drivers. The boys were so excited to see Grandpa when he was pretty young. I was 2 then, and my brother was 3 months old. Their dad wasn't even born yet! They thought that was pretty funny.

There is a whole room there for Annie Oakley and another one for Lowell Thomas. They were both born and raised here in Darke County, Ohio.

I made cole slaw and am in the middle of making deviled eggs for the church picnic tomorrow. The 8 year old nephew is nervous about going to church. They don't attend, but he has gone with us before. The 9 year old is excited. We pass their house on our way to church every week. I'm tempted to ask my bro. and SIL if the boys could go with us. I don't think they would let them though.

It rained today!!!!!!! Quite a bit, so maybe the grass won't completely die off.
