HI ladies!!!! Yipee! I got my 25 pound magnet today. I lost 4 pounds over the two weeks. I'm very happy. I did feel lighter, so I was hoping for good results! 28 pounds total - and vey happy.

Brenda - I'm exact opposite. I get plenty of carbs!!! I love them. HOw many points is a Caramel Machiatto? I love those.

Well, thought I'd share my weight loss

Finally I am back! Had a dr's appt. this morning with Emma.....it was for 10am. I didn't actually get in there until 11:30 thank goodness I had a bottle with me! I even debated whether I would take one. So I wait for 1.5 hours just to hear the dr tell me she is in perfect health. Duh! I could have told him that. Anyways she is 20 pounds 5 ounces and we just moved her into her big girl car seat.

tilley CONGRATULATIONS on the 28 pounds! That is fantastic! You deserve it Isn't it fun when people start noticing? I can't wait till people say the same thing to me!

Brenda I think a lot of us messed up pretty bad this weekend. I know I did on saturday. Today is a new day, and like you I am on damage control. Move on, start over today.

Tonya Put lots of hair spray in, sounds pretty windy! It is pretty windy here too actually. It is also getting to me nice a warm. YAHOO! Congrats on staying the same!

Kay If they count the weekend points, a lot of us are in trouble. I am going to have to get that cookbook and try out some of the recipes. Good luck at wi. Wednesday is my day too.

Gotta go, bold and the beautiful is on!!!

(hugs)

Default Lisa and Sarah

Woo hoo!!! Well done!!! V. cool! (can we say too much BJ? sTarting to use her short hand too often)

Bren - addicted to caramel macchiattos - but only 4 pts I think, right?? Not SO bad.....

Tonya - you are so right!! Must get on her good side, though I think she likes me, according to b/f. She is on vacation with him, so no such luck as having her out this week - I am all on my own. but, I have busied myself with my friends and my sisters and mom....and working out!! I am trying to get back in the morning workout groove!! YIKES!!!

Kay - I was over 33 once....I was devastated! But you can make that up - be like Brenda, do the damage control!!

Now need to find caramel macciato or the Second Cup's version - caramel corretto!! YUMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

Default no reception at work

I swear they told us last week that there was going to be a reception this morning but it ended up being a meeting with no food or drinks. I did bring food (3 points) but I was really looking forward to treates since I had planned for it. Oh well, I will be better off for not having had anything and it will be easier to handle my meeting tonight.

Tonya - you are doing great. Congrats on maintaining. thois last few pounds are impossible. I hope the winds calm down so you can get outside!

Lisa - Way to go on a huge 4 pound loss! that is really great! you did so weel even with vacation and Easter, you should be really proud. Congrats on the 25 pound magnet too!

Brenda - I hope you are doing ok after your weekend. I know exactly what you mean.
A good trip to the grocery will help you get back on track.

Kay - You did very well at dinner, don't worry too much about the popcorn. I am sure you can make up for it by WI. I loved BJ too!

Stacey - sorry you are so busy today!

Belle - I liked the Ex story. that should make you feel good that his sister likes you too. I am glad things are still going well.

Angie - Every challenge that you win is a success in itself. Good for you for resisting the bread and butter. I am sure that you are back OP after your weekend. Good luck!

Talk to you later.

Default Wow, 2 posts in a day!

Cool, I can post again now I am back with my own computer! In answer to all your questions, yes, it's weird being back - especially because of living in College and having to get used to having people around all the time. All today I think I was adjusting, although I had a few of my regular meetings to help me get back into the swing. And Blokey's coming over in an hour or so, and we're going to the pub (essential part of readjustment!). Then tomorrow morning I am getting my hair cut (yippee!) and going to WI (hopefully yippee!) and THEN I will feel like I'm really home. Best thing about being home is that just before I went away I got some new trousers and they weren't quite comfortable so I left them here, and now they fit! Khaki chinos ... good for summer.

The last few days in Madrid were great - Blokey and I "did" Madrid, we went on the tour bus (twice!) and went all over the old town, sat in cafes and watched the world go by ... went halves on all the tapas so it wasn't as point-loaded as it could have been. On Thursday we went to Madrid Zoo, which is in a coutnry park outside the city. The zoo was strange, because the first enclosures we saw were wonderful - they had recreated the natural habitats and the animals had loads of space - then we got to the bears and they were on little concrete platforms with no trees or grass or anything. That was sad. And the weirdest thing, all the roads in the country park were full of prostitutes, I am not kidding, it was surreal. Apparently they got kicked out of the city, so they go out there instead, and there were girls all along all the roads, dressed in not much more than their underwear. Actually it was kind of disturbing.

Anyway, enough about me - Sarah, YIPPEE! on the loss, that's ace! And Tilley - YAY! on the 25 (or 28!)lbs down. What does the magnet look like? We don't have them here. Everyone else, hugs! I might be back again later ...

Monday, Monday.
My first weekend with WW and I absolutely blew it. It all started when i got up late on Saturday morning and literally ran to work, skipping breakfast. It wasn't even 8 am but I had doomed myself. I wasn't able to leave until noon so I had several servings of pretzels and a hunk of bread. Then I accepted a dinner invitation from a coworker and didn't want to have a big lunch, although I was ravenous, so instead I just became the grouchiest receptionist in Seattle. Not good for business! I was moderate at dinner but had a margarita and poof! my resolve disappeared! So, four beers, some pizza, a half pint of ice cream and some buttery pasta later, I finally crashed into bed at 3 am. If only I had eaten breakfast! I really think it would've helped. Alas, these things happen. C'est la vie, no? The harder you fall, the higher you bounce. I hope.
Just saw a little bit on the news about a group of women who get together twice a week to talk about work and kids and stress, just to decompress, but they've found that an unexpected side effect has been a notable weight loss for each member. Chatting instead of exercise? Marvelous.

Hope each of you have a really wonderful day.

Default Hi from Maryland

Hi girlies! I'm at my journalism seminar but I brought my laptop so I could check email and post here, of course! So far the seminar is fantastic. I'm encouraged already to go back and uncover all sorts of bad stuff in the police department and it's only Monday. The only problem is ... the food! This is a residency program, so everything is covered, room and food. I just didn't expect to be so spoiled. Last night, at the welcome dinnner, they had an open bar before and after dinner and a bottle of wine sitting on the table. Dinner itself wasn't bad points-wise... a salad and pasta with shrimp and scallops (yummy!) but then there was a sinful dessert I had to try. Today, I had two pieces of bacon (v. bad) with my scrambled egg at breakfast, along with some fruit. For lunch, I was good and had a grilled chicken sandwich and some veggies, but there was chocolate cake for dessert! Argh! Who could resist? I ate a tiny sliver, so I didn't feel too guilty.

Well, after all that food, dinner is in an hour and I need to run out to my car and get some things. I'm also seeing a high school friend tonight, which is exciting. I haven't seen him since we graduated almost 11 years ago!

I'll check in here as often as I can this week. As for the weather here, it's 85 and sunny. It's almost been a shame sitting inside all day for classes!
