Welcome, welcome, welcome, Amarantha,
You will love our group. I'm glad you like the flex points, too.
It's so easy for me to do.
Hey, today, I even had 2 pts. left over and didn't use them. I'm not hungry tonight.
Tuesday night, we're having my mother's birthday party at an Italian restuarant. (Her birthday is Wednesday.) I've ordered her favorite cake - and, I expect to have a great big piece of it.

Let's all have a good Labor Day.

It's funny knowing I have extra points I don't feel like I'm missing anything. Tina, how was the birthday dinner for your mom?

Bob had a follow up appointment at the trauma center where he was Careflighted. Everything is healing like it should. That doctor thinks he should be off of work for 2 months because of the lifting. Our family doctor wrote 5 weeks on the paper for work, so they'll have to get their heads together and make a decision.

I know he is feeling better because he's getting bored. He even went out and mowed the back yard today with the riding mower. He had Tim start it for him so he wouldn't have to pull the rope to start it.

I am glad tomorrow is Friday. I'll be announcing the band at the football game tomorrow night and Tim won't even be there!! The cross country team is going to a huge meet in northern Ohio. There will be over 150 teams there! Amazing. The team is leaving after school tomorrow and they run on Sat. morning. I feel funny not going, but with that many teams, we'd never see Tim anyway, right? He thinks it's important for me to do the band thing at the football game anyway.

Hi Everyone, No one was writing this weekend.

I was out of town, going to take care of some business about my father-in-law's house. We went to start getting rid of things. It wasn't an easy job, as some of you know, but we did it.
My brother-in-law and wife will be there through this week and will get more done. (We just had from Friday noon until tonight.)

While gone, I ate pretty healthy. Last night we went to Outback and I had grilled chicken and then their Chocolate Thunder from Down Under. That was an amazing dessert. I'm sure I will have to exercise everyday this week to work it off. LOL

How is everyone doing?????

Hi there,
I haven't written the last several days because Thur. night I got bit by my dog. She went to attack my other dog and I was in the way. Her claws cut my leg (8 stitches) and she bit my wrist. The dr. thought it might be broken but it is just really bruised. Needless to say, I can't do much!!! I'm wearing a wrist brace and am on pain meds. So I've been kind of out of it.

Tina, I know this weekend was hard for ya'll. You are right, it's something that has to be done. How is Larry doing?

Tammy, glad Bob is doing so much better.

My goodness, Susan,
I am so sorry about your "accident" if you can call it that.
That was going to be some dog fight!

Larry is fine. I think I was more emotional than he was. He went with the idea of "just getting it done."

Today, I have been good for nothing. I was so tired. Our son has to use my car tomorrow so I am stranded. That's fine. Maybe I can get some work done around the house.

Take care, everyone.

Default Weigh in

Someone slap me. I am worried about weigh in this morning even though I had a good week. I haven't been getting all my water in the last two days and it is getting close to TOM. I know that I will be at least two pounds heavier this week. I keep telling myself it is water, but I still have this huge complex, that I gained. Does anyone else deal with this?

Also I wanted to ask, I am doing the new Flex points, and my points should be 28 per day. I have really tried to change eating habits, by eating protein first thing in the morning, which has really stopped my snacking all day. Also concentrating on balanced meals, but I am not eating all 28 points, I would say I am averaging about 24. Not hungry or craving more food. Is this okay?

Good Morning, Chicken,
Yes, the water issue can do a number on our weigh ins. When I began, I never thought such a thing would make so much difference. Please don't let it worry you if you do gain 2 pounds this time!!!!!
About not getting all your points in------If you are getting 24 of your 28 points in, I wouldn't be concerned. (The booklet says not to go below 20 pts.)
Have you tried an extra miilk? That's 2 pts right there.
Let us know how your weigh-in went, okay!

Hi Friends,

Tina, YUM!!!! I wanta go too!!!

Chicken, I love the name!!! Hang in there!

Tammy, I have 5 dogs. A beagle, austrailan shepard, akita, chow, blue healer. All are mixed with something else. We had NONE when we moved out here, people have just dumped them. It was my austrailan shephard that tore me up. She didn't mean too, I just happened to be sitting there and she was in my lap when she saw the other dog eating. She can be a little food agressive. My wrist is so many shades of purple!!! And my gosh, I don't think it will ever stop hurting. How is Bob doing?

I went to weigh in tonight. I lost 2.2. I'm now at 9.4. Only another pound and I"ll be right back where I was early in the summer. I love this new program.

Thanks for all your kind words and support.

Auntie, glad you like the name, I figured I was to out of shape and old to be a chick.

I finally did go weigh in today. I procrastinated. I admit. I had gained a pound. That is better than two. On to a better week next week.

happy Saturday, everyone,
We are a quiet group right now. Maybe it's because our teachers are too tired getting back to work. Maybe the mothers are too tired because school has started. Maybe no one thinks to write. Boo!

Well, we are getting a brand new computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a Sony instead of the Campaq we've had for years. We are in desparate need of more memory.
We pick it up this afternoon. I can't wait. And, it has one of those skinny monitors. Very classy.
The husband will get to transfer stuff from one to the other. I will get to clean off the desk before he installs it. I've been meaning to get some of the stuff off and now I have a time frame.

Susan, how are you feeling???

Tammy, what is Tim doing this weekend? How is Bob feeling? I ask on the other thread - have y'all picked out another vehicle? if so, what is it?

How is everyone else?????

Default No Computer

Boo Hoo
We didn't get the computer after all. We found out all they had was the one on fhe floor. And, the monitor was the only one and it was on sale as a "clearance item." We weren't told that!
Several things just weren't right. So, they are keeping the whole thing and we are going to keep looking.
It was disappointing. But, we'll find a better one.
