Thanks Kathy......I have been trying to find info on the web about this and your info helps alot

Got
ds some cookies baked and DH wanted some for his dad and brother that is in the
alcohol rehab unit and got my zucchini shredded and frozen , ran out of flour so I couldn't make
my bread! Mopped the dogs room, gave her a massage and her medicine, brushed the cats
and have laundery in and made a zucchini and tomato casserole, and cut up more cucumbers to
put in vinegar. You think I would be tired but now I'm anxious...getting ready for our trip to
Iowa on Friday too. Just an average day here..sounds like you huh! Oh and I cleaned my
kitchen after the cookies and then decided to do the garden produce and made a mess again so
it got cleaned twice!

Ate way too many cookies.....but do not htink it was 35 pts worth

WOW! It was so nice to fly by and see the nest is starting to get active again!!

Candice that recipe sounds good...but with the sour cream is it really only 1 pt per serving?

I went back to WW and I love the new flex point system...I lost 5.2 lbs my first week and this wednesday I get weighed again! I think it is much less complicated now. I aim for my target points and if I need the flex points I use them. Some days I do and some I don't even make my target points!

Well I have to get the boy in the bath so I will fly by again soon and see how is still around!

Default Hi there!

Hi my name is Raff and I'm new to this thread. I usually post on another but I'm looking for another place where I can talk of WW.

I'll give you a little history of myself:

I'm 32. Married with no children and have a loving, caring husband (2nd time's a charm ) I never had a weight problem until I was 13. It started with 5lbs and then next year it was ten. By the time I was 18 I was 35lbs overweight. At 20 I decided to lose weight, using Nutrisystem. I got down to 163 which was ideal for my height and frame. Well since then I have gained and loss and yo-yo'd till the cows came home.

Last year I joined OA and it helps me deal with the emotional side of my eating.

I started WW on June 26 and have lost 25lbs. Yipee! I just love WW. I do it online rather than go to meetings. I feel there are more resources online.

Well I hope to talk to you all soon!

Take care

hello nightowls! glad to see some people stopping by. we might ge this nest hoppin' yet.

i had a fun weekend but i didn't do well at all as far as points go. i wasn't home much. spent most of the weekend at the lake. i met a nice guy there. he's going to call this week. yahoooo!! to make a short story, i recently broke up again and for good this time with someone. got tired of the baloney(using a nice word).
anyhoo, that is why i was gone all weekend. what we do for love...lol tomorrow is another day of good choices to make.

raff- congrats on the 25 lbs and welcome to the nest!! i am 38, not married and no children either.

candicej- glad i could help a little bit. i'm not much of an expert. lol

michellek- congrats on your 5.2 lbs gone forever!! we are on the same schedule. my meetings are wednesday mornings and this will also be my 2nd weigh-in on program. i don't think i ever have a day that i don't make my target and then use some flex points. i guess that will change in time.

i hope everyone had a good week!

Evening All! I started classes today or should I say class. I'm taking a math class at the college. I've been enrolled since 2000 and I take a class at a time, then a break, and go back. I figure I should get my degree maybe, when I'm 55.

I can't wait to try the White Gazpacho. How do you eat it? On bread or crackers?

Kathy - Good luck on the fresh start. I'll send you some positive vibes. As for me, I haven't eaten a meal at home since Sat and my weighin is this coming Sun. That give me 3 days to get my s*hit together. Think I can do it?

Michelle - I'm glad you like the new Flex Points. I'm still trying to get used to it. It's not complicated, just new and I'm a creature of habit.

Well running off. Take care

hoot hoot from my limb to your limb!!

not too bad of a day today. my fresh start is going well so far. i did a 40 min. moderate walk today so i am whipped. i do a lot of walking at work. i actually wore a pedometer for 2 weeks. from the time i got up till bedtime my average was 12,000-14,000 steps per day(that included exercise) i guess no one can say i don't incorporate exercise into my daily routines.

raff--i feel those vibes and i know you can get you s%^* together for sunday. i did the same thing, and it didn't turn out unbearable...lol

candicej- have a good time

nite!

Default AAAAAAAAAAAGH!

I weighed in on Sunday and gained 3lbs. I'm not a happy camper. I spoke to my sponsor and she feels that it could be one of a few things:

a. I had a 5lb loss last week and it was too rapid.
b. I'm PMSing.
c. Because I did a lot of eating out last week.

So this week I'm going to be tip-top. Wish me luck.

How's everyone else doing? How do you like the new Flex System? I think they should have kept it the way it was. I liked the fact that I had a range everyday.

Take care,
Raff

Hi everyone,

I am back finally, I am just so busy and I really apologize.

Kathy, I saw ZZ Top years ago and it was one of my very favorite concerts, how was it for you? Way to go on the loss, that is awesome. Yippee!!

Hi Emmy, Ok it'ss a bit of a long story but I will make it as short as possible, we had an old 74 pop-up, we went to the white mountains the week of July 4th and had to bungy cord the roof on because it came unattached, 2 black bears attacked a campsite about 30 feet from us because people left out garbage with old food in it, when we got back home we started looking around and we ended up buying a brand new 2003 hard-top bunkhouse camper. It is a super-lite Flagstaff, it sleeps 8, bunk twin beds, private master bedroom with queen bed, a dinette that folds out to a double and a couch that folds out to a double. It has all the bells and whistles, microwave, range, double sink, AC, toilet, shower, heated pads underneath for winter camping, attachable outside gas grill. The camper itself is 29 feet long, from back to hitch it is 30.9 feet long, we are towing with a half ton pick-up and with the truck we are 53 feet long, I towed it home on our last trip, first time towing anything but I did allright and it was fun. oh yeah the awning is 20 feet by 8 feet.

Hi Raff, and welcome to the nest, things seems to be hopping around here a bit more lately. I am actually momma owl and started the night owls many years ago, I look forward to getting to know you.

Candice, as usual so glad to see you in the nest, you are a real trooper or should I say owler, lol!! You hung in there while the rest of us disappeared, thanks a bunch.

Love
Brenda

Default hi

hey nite owls! what a weekend! the concert was great. i had a really good time. then i got talked into spending the rest of the weekend at my friend's place on the lake. i did'nt get home till late sunday. there went my points counting AGAIN for the weekend. i hope i didn't do too much damage.

brenda- this was my 3rd time seeing zztop. they were my very first concert in 1979 when i was 14 so i guess it's kind of an anniversary thing to see then when they're in town.

raff-good luck on being tip-top. i'm in the same boat. i am trying to stick to the target till wednesday weigh-in.

have a great week everyone!!

The trip was hard to make for DH and I both and I am still not recovered, lots of pain and anxiety has set in and so much to do now that we are home

The "White Coat Ceremony" was wonderful and so moving..boy doctors have a lot to learn!!!!!!!! My son is finding anatomy very challenging and loves his bio-chem classes! The tour of my sons apt., campus and town was really fun and we got just a tad of shopping in. I walked the tredmill at the hotel and made good food choices and had tons of healthy snacks with us. I cried when we had to say good bye..the first time one of my kids is that far from home. He does have a very nice roomate and that helps. Forgot to take his cookies so I mailed them today!

I will post pictures when I get them developed.

Bren..wow that camper sounds wonderful!

KAT..boy are you ever active! That is alot of steps!!!!!!! Hoot Hoot to you too!

Emmy..wow you were 40 when you had your last kid...was that hard?

raff..all those things could cause a weight gain!

We need to hear from PJ
