Hi turtles

Yes, Judy - my dd & her fiancé moved in last year since her condo was too small & they wanted to buy a house in my area, so I offered for them to stay with me while they saved up more $$ towards a house. So, now they are looking & will probably move by summer. But now we have a idea I may sell my place & go with them if there is a separate area for me. Will see how it goes. That would be nice for everyone.

I have Tops tonight & hoping to be down again this week!

Judy - great you have kept your weight loss off, awesome.

We have Monday as holiday (Family Day) & since I don't work Fridays, have 4 days weekend!

All - hope you have a great week at the scales.

Hi Turtles,
Oh, it's lovely to get along with your family. It's a nice idea.

My dd and her kids live down the block. Having them so close to really see and know the kids as they grow up and also to be close enough to help out whenever needed is great. It works for us.

I'm having a bit of trouble with my food, but that's to be expected since that has been my pattern for so many years. This time I'm really finding good foods on program so I don't blow it. I want the weight loss really badly and I think I could reach goal this year. I'm talking about losing 35# which is doable in a year as long as I am consistent.

Wishing you good luck with your TOPS WI and your weight loss. Also sending good vibes and to the Turtles. Chime in when you can.

Hi turtles - hope you are all keeping warm.

We have soooooooo much snow and more on its way. Running out of places to shovel it to. And we have also been in a deep freeze up here.
Hopefully, it will start to warm up and things settle down.

Last week, I was up 2# at Tops so was not happy with myself for that.
I just really want to eat warm casserole type dishes and soup. And along with that of course bread/crackers. So too many carbs is what is happing with me.

All - hope you are doing well.

Bandit, thanks for chiming in. Always good to hear from you. Good luck on cutting out some carbs. This weather calls for comfort food. Soon we'll be into March and hopefully some of the snow will go away.

Keep on keepin' on. You're good at this.

To all the Turtles, : :

My of my - we all skipped a month!

So now it is time to "spring into action" We just had our Tops rally & so great to see some people who really have done well.

Judy - how are things with you?

All - hope everyone comes back & chimes in when they can.

Starting to warm up now, which is lovely since it was a bitter winter.

Take care

Oh Bandit, I thought this group had finally folded. So glad you chimed in.
Lots of emotional stuff going on with my family. I regained 5# in the last 3 weeks. It makes me realize that this lifelong quest of losing weight can be upset so easily.

Well, I won't dwell there. How are you doing? Sounds like the Tops rally was just what you needed to get inspired.

Sending good vibes to all the Turtles.

Wow I was sure this board was dead when I saw no one had posted for the month. Glad to see you turtles are still around. I have been struggling to get where I want to be but in truth all I really want is to eat healthier and to have healthier habits. I don't want it to always be about the number. I am going to try to eat mainly power foods and see how it goes.

Hi about 4 yrs ago I joined WW & then I quit going to their meetings at about week 3 or 4 because I just didn't have the time or $ to continue.

Does anyone know if that diet plan that used Flex points still is used in any of the WW threads, in case I decide to try using that older WW plan at 3FC ? They've sent me info to join the newer plans thru the years, but I still don't have the time or extra $ as before when I stopped going.

Thanks

Hi Mini Doodles,
I don't know of any WW threads/Flex points.
We'd be happy to have you join us here regardless of the weight loss plan you use. We're all doing different things and trying to get to goal .
Wishing you the best regardless of what you decide to do.
Hi Turtles,
It's encouraging to see posts, so chime in when you can. After chatting with another friend who has let her determination go, we said, "Get a grip" to each other and today my food has been better.
Wishing you all the best in this crazy weight loss journey!!!
Judy

Hi Turtles,
I am back on track and it feels good. Not perfect but I don't have to be.
Just better than I had been doing.

Good luck and to all the Turtles.

Good job w getting back on track & not letting Unhealthy Foods rule your life.

Hi Turtles,
Dee, "Bale of Turtles" means a group of turtles. Like a "pride of lions". I didn't know about the "bale" either, but one of our members a long time ago looked it up and that's what she found.

In any case, we've been quiet lately but our group has offered great support in the past. Thanks for your support too.

Cherry, yes, it feels good to be back on track and losing weight again. This is where I like to be............in control and feeling healthy.

: and to all the turtles!

Hi turtles & welcome miniDoodles, nice to have new members.

Well, it is warming up nicely here & lots going on. My dd & her fiancé bought a new house & are moving May 21 & I am planning on going with them if I can sell my house at a decent price. So, it will going on the market next week - we have been busy packing/cleaning etc. If my place doesn't sell, then I can always rent it. So that is big news.
They have been with me the last 18months & with the baby it has been nice all of us together. So the plan is I will have a contractor put in a complete basement apt which should be nice since is a walkout to backyard which backs onto parkland (no houses back there)
Anyway, pretty excited about all this.

Weight wise, up/down - but still going to Tops and counting my ww points.
A girl I work with just started WW 3 weeks ago & is down 8# so that should be motivating me to get my butt in gear.

All - keep up the good work!
