Good morning ladies!

My first Christmas party of the season is over and boy was it difficult! I had banked extra points from a few days past and tried to be really good. The bulk of what I ate was veggies and grilled chkn fingers, but I did manage to sneak in one small piece of fudge, and you know what? It wasn't half as good as I thought it would be! it's difficult to judge the point system when it comes to finger foods, but I think I stayed two points below!

??????-Is anyone really familiar with banking points? I'm fairly new to WW and I remember our meeting leader saying that we could bank points up to a week if we knew we had an event coming up that would require us to use more than our daily allotment; however, I spoke with someone last week that said she had read that you can only bank up to 10 points. Does anyone know the real rule?

Tammie-You seriously misunderstood me when I was talking about the Spin class!!!! I took it one time as a freebie offer at my old gym and lasted only 10 or 15 minutes! I never attempted it again, so I am in no way a pro like Amy....she actually enjoys it!@*z

Amy-The peeing will calm down after your obdy gets use to the intake of all that water. The first few days are the toughest, but keep it up because once you slack off on a weekend and start back again...ready up to visit those disgusting public restrooms! Keep those e-mails coming....I think I am developing an addiction!

I haven't met my exercise goal this week but I still have two days to work on it. Anyone (other than you Amy, because you can get pretty mean!) that will give me a little "get movin'" speach....please, have at it.

Have a great and successful day everyone!

Good morning: Today I have a toothache! I just got my teeth cleaned a few weeks ago and I see this black spot on my tooth. If its a cavity how did they miss it!

Kim congrats on doing great for your first Christmas party!

Hello!

Kim, I am only thinking of your best interest, one day you will thank me--

Don't listen to Kim-- I am not mean-- she asked for it-- she is getting it!! (lol)

Banking points-- we spent part of the meeting last week discussing that and it is up to 10 point only. Sorry. But if you are having an "ocassion" once in a while I can't imagine that if you bank 15 or 20 that you could do too much harm-- especially if you stay OP for the rest of the week. You did really well Kim because you ate light the next day too.

Tami-- I hope your tooth is okay-- toothaches and earaches are two of the toughest nuisances to endure!

I'm still doing well-- and my Mom called today and I think she is getting bitten by my enthusiasm she is thinking of joining-- and before the new year too-- My sister is kicking butt-- she has been doing it for 10 weeks and she is down 27+ pounds. Pretty Good!!! I am anxious to see results like that!

Have a great day!

Good morning: Today my tooth is fine. my dentist looked at my x-rays that I had in Oct and it shows no cavity, they think the dark spot is a stain, I wonder why I never noticed it before. And I think my teeth hurt because I've been grinding my teeth lately

Amy sounds like you doing great send some my way! I feel out of control I think my TOM is going to start soon because I have that HUNGRY feeling!

The big weigh-in is tonight and I am nervous!! Why do I care what the weigh-in lady thinks!? It should only matter that I know that I have had a great week and have kept everything in check. BUT I don't want "weigh-in lady" to think I'm a loser! Well, I do want her to think I'm a loser (of weight that is) but not a "L"oser (the type you indicate when you make a great big L on your forhead. Anyway, I'll let you guys know about tonight.

Tammie-Yeah...no cavities!

Amy-So, you're not a St. and you're not mean?! I must be missing something! Just joking. I appreciate your "tough love" approach to kicking my butt in gear in the workout department. I did, by the way, walk with the girl that bailed on me last week. 30 minute around the empty top level of the work parking deck. IT WAS GREAT!!

Gotta go to a meeting!

Kim

Kim That is so Fabulous-- I am so happy you walked! BUT........ That doesn't get you off the hook with that once a week treadmill deal we spoke of recently. YOU STILL HAVE TO USE YOUR TREADMILL!!!

I think you are right-- I am mean!!!

Keep it up, Kim-- your enthusiasm is going to take you far!!

Tami-- how are you doing?

Anyone else-- how is everyone?

I'll be lurking around-- my big weigh in is on Thursday......

Hi 30's! Its me Nadine! I have been away for about a week! Busy busy busy these days... Working alot and not having any time for meal planning! Well I am a weigher on Wednesdays so tomorrow I will face the music and start the week again! Have a yeast infection... Ouch! My mother came my way this past weekend... has to have knee surgery this summer.. so she had a specialist app't downtown Toronto.. so she stayed with me... she causes me stress ... so ofcoarse... Yeast infection! ... I have been drinking lots of Cranberry juice! Yum...
Anyways..... It seems that everyone is busy with their schedules.... So I will try to post as reg as I can cause I just love knowing that other people are doing it right along with me too!

As for stats.. I am a Dental Hygienist... cleaning lots of dirty teeth these days! I am almost engaged... we put a downpayment on a ring set this past weekend.. whoo hooo.... I am 31, and have 2 cats.... Thats about it for now.. Oh yes... and the new man to become the dear sweet hubby is Kent.... who is like 20 lbs overweight and lovesssssss food too! Dangerous combo!

As I told Amy.....UGGHHHHHHH!!! My weigh-in was not as successful as I had hoped! I lost only 4/10 of a lb which is barely measureable I have taken on a defeatous attitude that I need smacked off my face! SO, paleezzzz, if you have had this same experience SHARE!

AMY-Because of the aforementioned, I have already met your little goal of treadmill walking once this week (right after the self righteous "weigh-in lady" told me the news). But you can forget your gaol as I plan on passing it this afternoon! Now who's mean?!

Nadine-Welcome Back! I too am fairly new to the site (as you can see by my "Chick-let" tag). It looks like a few folks have been busy, as Amy, Tammie, and I are the only entires over the last few days. Guess that's what happens over the holidays!

Ouch about the yeast infection...gotta hate that! BUT congrats on the step closer to engagement! What a big treat right before Christmas! Keep us in the loop with your plans.

Gotta get ready for work AND my afternoon W/O...can't upset "weigh-in lady"!! (or me )

Tammie
It is me. I have been reading the posts but not posting.
I am on program and am quite a bit below goal weight.
I have not been well lately. My heart is still giving me problems. I have to lie pretty low. No activity here.
I am scheduled for an angiogram in January. Maybe they will find out what is wrong then.
How have you been doing? Are you ready for Christmas?
Take care...
Dee

Good afternoon: Today I woke up dizzy(I'm getting off anti-depressants) and I was told it will go away. My 2 boys were happy when I said Lets all stay home today! The one has a cold anyway.

Deelite I was so worried about you, I knew you had a heart problem . I hope you feel better soon, thanks for checking in.

KimI too have had some not so good weigh ins. I always wear the same clothes that I get weighed in. It really does make a difference. I hope this helps.

NadineI've never had a yeast infection (knock on wood) but I've had plenty of bladder infections I hope you feel better soon!

Jakeswoman good luck on your weigh-in Thursday!

Well, have a good evening!

HOWDY!

I lost 4 pounds-- I am pretty excited--it is a very good start!

I do have two parties this weekend but I do have strategies. I will keep my points to 24 and bank 5 today and 5 tomorrow and I will somehow make myslef get up at 6am to go to the club on Sunday-- I need to come up with a motivation reward for Sunday-- got any ideas?? Like what could I do for myself if I do get to the club on Sunday??? MMMMM???

I would love to get through this season without gaining and what a plus if I weigh less in January than in December. Last year that was the root of my problems-- that is when I started gaining my first couple of pounds after losing 50 and then it just snowballed into a whole year (almost) of no control in the food department. It would be quite the accomplishment!!

How is everybody else doing?? Kim are you going to do anything different for this party then you did for the last? I thought you did a great job-- but I know you were disappointed with the numbers at weigh-in (I bet the weigh-in lady had her foot on the scale- LOL). Someone at our meeting suggested eatting a low point WW meal before going to the party so you belly was not empty-- they have some 3 pointers. Our how about walking on that treadmill 20 minutes before you shower to get ready to go (if time permits). After your party I would stay away from high sodium foods until after you weigh in on tuesday. Party foods tend to be salty- so you don't want to add popcorn or high sodium prepackage foods on top of it during the rest of your week. Just an idea.

Deelite: I hope you are okay- keep us updated when you can. We will be thinking of you!

Tami: How old are your kids? Are they both in school? I have two 4 and 8. They are both home today-- Carly has a nasy cold and didn't get any sleep last night and my son is always home on Fridays. Plus we are having a little snow squawl-- I hope we get a few inches but I want it to stop today-- too much to do this weekend. It is good to hear you are feeling good!

Got to go!! AMY

Good morning: Today it is snowing big time! were suppose to get total of 20 inches buy tomorrow! I seriously debated whether or not to take my kids to school(I did) now I think I made the wrong choice as I see the snow coming down realing hard and blowing and drifting. I ate way too many cookies yesterday at my mom's. Today My face feels really fat! I'm seriouly thinking of eating low-carb again (maybe just for a few days to get rid of this bloating!)
Amy congrats on losing 4# thats good! I have 2 boys 5 & 10. Kindergarten and 5th grade

Got to go
