Talking FRIDAY! yippee!

hi girls (old and new),
sorry to have been away for so long. i've been swamped at work with no time to play on the internet (and i don't have a modem at home). anyhow. i've quickly skimmed through some of the posts! lolly - sorry to hear about your cat. KT - how's your niece doing? trish - how are you feeling? not long now...
ooh, hope those who have been feeling ill are doing better. i've had a horrible cold for about a month now so i can sympathise.
ta for the PM stacey - you made me decide to take some time out to get on here and say hello!
not much news from me, lots of xmas lunches and parties. i lost a couple of pounds in advance of the festive season so hopefully i should be ok but already i feel flabby and lethargic! i drank far far too much at my office party on wednesday night. thursday was awful! luckily i didn't disgrace myself (unless you count knowing the moves to kylie's "can't get you out of my head" and doing them!). but it was v amusing to watch people kissing people they shouldn't!
right, i'll pop back later on and see what the rest of you are up to.
love kirsty

How to start having a bad eating day: Have a breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg & cheese) at Hardee's. It tasted yummy, but now I'm wracked by feelings of guilt. I figure I'll just skip lunch, since I've probably already eaten enough points for the whole day.

I am SLEEPY today. Maybe because I went to bed at 1:30 a.m., then was woken up an hour later by my dog barking at something outside, which scared me because I was sure someone was lurking in the bushes. Fortunately my BF came home shortly after that and I was able to go back to sleep. But, I had to get up at 7:30 so it wasn't a very restful night!

I wish this was a quiet Friday but no, I have to write two stories. Where's nap time when you really need it?

Tomorrow night is my office Christmas party, at the editor's house. Usually he puts on a pretty good party. I'm only staying an hour because BF and I are going to the Policeman/Firefighters' Christmas Ball. An excuse to dress up!

Well, I better get back to work. I hope everyone has a great day!

Hello all. Well, today is my last day at work and then I am a stay at home mom...a big change in how I see myself. I have been a smuge married for a while, but now to be home with kid and dog. Wow. I am a little nervous money-wise, but I think we can make it work. A lot of our money we just fritter away on lunch out, dinner out, I don't know what, etc. I think if we are good and stick to a budget it will be ok. Plus, daycare is so expensive here (I am sure anywhere) I am not sure I was making enough money to really make it worth-while.

Anyway, that is all about me. I feel well and I am doing fine.

Kirsty: good to hear from you. Don't let work become too stressful!

Kim: I think it is ok to have a breakfast sandwich from where ever. I think it is the mindset that it is counted and planned that makes it work. IF you think about it as a mistake or mess-up it becomse that. If it is how you chose to spend your points that day, it is control over your eating. Now find out the points and then work the rest of the day accordingly. I eat a lot of McDonald's breakfast and just work them in. On days where I eat a lot of points for breakfast (and there are many as that is my fav meal) I try to eat fresh veggies and ff dip for lunch or zero point soup etc. Anyway, I tought maybe trying to change how you perceived it might help you feel control and not guilt.

Hey Becky. I am not doing anything this weekend. Sorry...but hope you have a good one at work.

Hello to everyone else. I do have internet from home (actually, my computer and internet at home are much better than work) so I will be chrcking in.

Trish

Kirsty: I still need shoes, so I'm braving the mall tonight to find some. I love my dress. It's short, flirty and glittery, perfect for a Christmas party. My friend Lindsey is going too (she wants to meet a cute fireman) and her dress is long, black and elegant. I don't do elegant well, though. It's hard when you're 5 feet tall!

Hi guys - this is quick - YAY friday but internet police abound.
My niece is doing fantastically - she's sitting up and eating solid foods. I spend 3 hours last night making some freezer food - lasagne and shepherd's pie - so my brother and his wife would have something other than take out to eat.
Also, I went to Wi last night cause BF and I are going away fo rthe weekend - I've come out of the plateau with a 2# loss - YAY. Hopefully I can stay OP and enjoy the holidaze.
Have a great weekend everyone
