Default For Brenda

Hi Bren, I'm sure you might be feeling a little worse today. I hope not. I'm starting this thread because I am hoping you will let us know about the surgery. I know some of us are considering it, too. I hope you are out of pain by now. Vicodin is what they gave me after my knee surgery. Drink lots of fluids while you take it because it's somewhat consitipating. Take it easy and let everyone pamper you!

Love,
Judy

Hi Judy, and thank you so much. It was nice to come here and see a thread for me. I am actually doing very well today. Still a bit achy but really not too bad. Wow, I feel so much better today, not too much pain believe it or not. I was really hurting yesterday. I feel like I could actually go to work today if there was work. I was able to sleep on my side last night and got a real good nights sleep. I just can't believe how much better I feel after just 2 days from the surgery. I thought about not taking any pain pills today but it does still hurt a bit so I took 1 instead of 2 and will probably take them today but not tomorrow. I just don't like taking pills so I probably won't take them tomorrow. Anyway just thought you might like to know that I am doing good.

I would do the surgery again in a heartbeat. I was scared of 2 things, one was that I wouldn't wake up from the surgery which ofcourse I had no problems with except my little dream, LOL The other thing was there was a very rare possibility that I could actually lose my nipples, I mean they could fall off. Well they are just fine and the doctor looked at them yesterday and said we will not have a problem with that, if would allready be noticeable if it was gonna happen. So I just feel great about the whole thing. My breasts are still a little oddly shaped but they will round out over the next few weeks and the doctor says I will be very happy with them. I'll tell you one thing, there is no sag at all and I like that. They are swollen and then bottom of them are bruised yellowish brown but that will clear up soon also. They also made the aereolas smaller because they were quite large so I know I will like that too.

So anyway, if you have any other questions just let me know and I will be glad to answer them for you. I know alot of people would like to have this done too. I just want everyone to remember that everyone has a different experience but basically this is what my doctor told me to expect, he said it wouldn't be too awful bad and it isn't . I gotta say though that if I got bumped there, I think it would hurt alot. I have been lucky so far and the kids have been real careful.

Yupper, you heard me right. Your nipples can actually fall off. I was told that this is extremely rare, my surgeon has never seen it happen in his career but it is one of those things that they have to tell you. I am soooooooooooooo glad that I am not going to have that happen to me.

Bren..you are so Brave to have this surgery! I don't respond well to any kind of surgery so I don't want to have anymore! I can't

I had a dream last night that my nipples fell off and someone stepped on them. I woke up in a sweat when I dreamed the pain. Is this incredible?

Oh, BTW Bren... how are you?
