Starting all over again...

  • I tried WW about 2 years ago. I wasn't ready. I didn't do it for me, but for everyone else I knew.

So here I am now. 30 lbs heavier than the first time I tried it and this time determined to do this - not for 'them' but for me. For my health, for my appearance, for my mind, for my very soul.

I am attending my first meeting tonight!

    Wish me luck!!!

  • CONGRATULATIONS ON THIS STEP~
    Dear Clkchef:

You are a hero to yourself right now. This is great. You have to be ready to make the commitment and it sounds like you really are. Yes, the first step is to DO IT FOR YOURSELF. don't be in a big hurry -- just do it. Do it comfortably, do it so it works for you. There will be a huge number of people to support you along the way (we are here for that) and to anyone who scoffs at your efforts, tell them %#$@%@&#^@$!!!

Write often and let us know how you're doing. Losing weight is not easy == but gaining it wasn't easy either. You'll just relearn all the old habits and turn them into new and healthful ones. Good luck, and keep us posted. Regards.
  • Hooray for ClkChef...she's doing it for herself...the best gift we can give ourselves is a healthy body.

WW will work for you, just don't try to lose it overnight. It took you awhile to get where you are and it'll take a while on your journey to where you want to be.

Learn your new lifestyle and you'll never have to lose it again. I lost 195 pounds so it will work for you, too.

Check in often and let us know how you are doing.

    YOU CAN DO IT!
  • Me, too!
    ClkChef,

I was excited to read your post! We are at about the same place in all of this. I went to my first meeting last Saturday. We have about the same amount of weight to lose and I quit a couple of years ago, too, when I moved cities.

Hopefully, this is the right time for both of us to be successful, for good. (I was successful last time, but like a fool, stopped.) I don't know about you, but I was feeling sort of alone until I saw your post. We will both make it work!

I wish you all the best of luck at your meeting and for your starting week!

  • clk chef and avery,
Congrats for giving WW a chance to help you become the best person you can be. It's a great thing you're doing for yourselves. Weigh to go!
  • Being Fat is Harder than any Diet!
IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO DO THE RIGHT THING!
  • Glad to see I'm not the only one.
I've been a bit of a plateau for the last 3 weeks. I attend the at work meetings and today was week on for the new members so I thought this would be a great opportunity to start all over with them. I have picked up some bad habits (like not journaling) and I am determined to get these last 5 off for my first 10% goal!

    Good luck to you!
