Cool New Here

Hi Everyone,

I am joining WW tomorrow. I am so excited but nervous. I can see here though that people are losing weight!!!! Very exciting.

I would love to start a support group here of people who are just starting out. Maybe we could go through this together.

I am 35 years old, married and have two beautiful children. I have a ton of weight to lose. My ultimate goal is about 100 pounds away. This is very depressing to me. But I can do it. I have done it before. Not quite that much though.

I have just decided to stop thinking about how far I have to go and just start thinking about each step I take. I hope this works. I would love to feel like myself again.

Happy Thursday to all of you. Thanks for listening.

Hi, I just joined WW on the 23/Jan. I've never tried it but have heard rave reviews! I am F, 40 with a teenager (my day's of chasing him around are over) and want to shed about 60 pounds.
I wish you luck, it will definitely be an adventure!!

I just joined 3fc today. I did WW a few years ago and lost 35 lbs and gained back 50+. It is a good program, I just didn't have the willpower I needed. I started back up again on Tuesday, but still haven't found the determination I need. I have lost 35 lbs since August by going to the gym 3 days a week. I don't mind the exercise, but I can't let go of the eating. I also was not going to the gym steadily, as I have to get up at 5 am to get there when they open at 5:30 so I can be back home by 6:30 when my husband leaves for work. 1/2 the month of November and most of the month of December, I didn't go at all. I am looking for motivation and a kick in the pants from my fellow fat chicks. I hope I can give some of you encouragement also

Hi! I hope we can all reach our goals this year. 2005 is going to be our year. I have to believe this. Do any of you know by any chance if you move and you hve reached goal weight at weight watchers and become lifetime do you get to take your membership to a different state? Yes I have very high hopes of reaching my ultimate goal. We are planning on moving and I hope I can take my membership with me.

email me or PM me anytime and I will be here for you. I hope you all reach your goals. This is so importnt to me. I know I can do it I just have to make myself do it. I have missed out on so many things over the past two years being fat.

I am one of those people who just doesn't function well fat. I own no clothes sweats only. And I pretty much have become a big fat hermit. And it is making me crabby. Hee Hee.

Keep in touch. We can do this.

Default Hi

Hi, I am Kathy and I just started WW yesterday so my first day was today!!! So far I am loving it. I have about 50 lbs to lose give or take some. I have been trying to do this forever. I would loose 10, gain it back, lose it again, gain it back. Talk about yo-you with the same 10 lbs.

I am 51 and married and have 2 daughters. And a beautiful new grandson who lives with us (mom and dad too) and just love it.

The reason I decided to do WW is that my dr told me if i didn't do something about the weight, I would prob have to take pills for my diabetes . I refuse to get to that point. I do not like needles, and I esp don't like pricking myself. So that is my motivation. I will get this pre diabetic thing under control before it gets me.

I like weight watchers becasue it doesn't cut out all carbs. I don't want to go forever w/o a piece of cake, or somthing like that. I did good today, drank my water (yuck) ate my points, and am ready for tomorrow.

Hope to get to know all of you better.

Kathy

HI - I started WW for the first time 10 days ago. So far 6 pounds lost. I am excited about it too!

I've been here at 3fc for years. I did South Beach last May and lost 14 but couldn't stay on the second phase. I gained 10 pounds back. I was at an all-time low of 191 in October but I just didn't stick with it (plus I was losing in the wrong way). Anyway, I am back under 200 again and hoping to lose my last 45 or so pounds

I lost the first 45 or so by changing the way I eat and exercising. I can't afford the gym for a bit so I walk 1.5 miles a day and do crunches at night and walk every escalator I am on -- up OR down

OK, enough about me. I love the Flex plan adn we can do this!!!

I too am just starting again. I have been on South Beach for the last 4 weeks, I lost 6 pounds and I also stalled when I started Phase II. It was real hard to take. So, I decided today that I miss some things I can't have on SB. So, am pulling out books and doing WW again.

Hi All. Me agin!!!

Jenn. I read your story. I liked what you said about how you like eating when you lose weight. I do the samething. I lose 10 lbs and get so excited..I want to eat and it starts the ball rolling, and it is hard for me to quit. Maybe with WW since we can eat different thing..It will be ok.

Girly. I have a clothing problem too. Besides only having 1 pair of jeans that fit, I don't and haven't had a dress or skirt for years that I felt good in. When you look at dresses in size 18, they look so old, like some old old lady would wear, so I don't buy them, and I don't have a dress if I had to have one. bummer hun?

Chipper. I did SB too. I think we lost about the same amount of weight. Didn't it just frost you when year heard people loseing 20 lbs in Phase 1 and then just dropping it like crazy in phase 2? It did me!! Maybe I didn't follow it to a tea, so it was my fault but it doens't matter now..We have WW right?

Neednewme. I like your name. It is hard to get to the gym isn't it? I am going to try to go tomorrow. Lets really do it ok?

Onion2. Hello !!!

Well just let me tell you I had a wonderful 2 days. I ate within my points, ate lots of veggies at work (work at hospital and they do have a cafeteria) drank my water, and was offered a batch of wonderful chicken and chow mein, I said no competely to the chow mein and had two small nugget size pieces of the chicken. When asked if I would like more..I said no..Iam so proud of me.

Today I had a body for life bar, 2 pts. Kept me going until dinner which again was a big bunch of veggies and a bean burrito. Very good. Water down a bit, Will go to gym tomorrow.

Hope to hear from you all

Kathy

Default Hope Everyone had a good weekend

Hi Kathy, Wow!!!! It sounds like you have already lost a good amount of weight. You will reach your goal. You have a lot of pressure on you to lose weight it sounds like. I hope WW works out for you. And Me too hee hee.

I agree about cutting out carbs. I have been dieting since I was 12. And one thing I know from all of that is I have to have variety. If I try to be too strict or do the latest "fad" then that is how long I stick to it. About as long as a fad can last. I need to be able to have a normal life. I have enough confusion without adding a complicated food regimine.

Congratulations on your two days on good points. I am very sad with myself cuz I planned on joining on Friday. Then I found that there is a meeting that is mommy and me on Monday. So I was going to join yesterday. i worked the night before and my husband let me sleep before he had to leave. so I slept through the meeting. I think I just don't want to know what I weigh so I am putting off joining. And the longer I put it off the more I am binging. Okay, I need to just join. Maybe if I join a meeting this week I could start going next week to the mommy and me?????? I will call and see if I can do that.

Jenn, Congratulations on your weight loss. That is great. I will be very happy to have any loss at this point. I have been very bad to myself. Everyone I work with is doing South Beach. They all weigh between 130 and 140 though so they don't REALLY have to lose weight they just want to look better in a swim suit. I wish that were why I needed to lose right now. I just want to look like myself again. Grrrrr. Anyhow. I know South Beach wont work for me. I tried it and just couldn't stick with it.

Chipper, I hope you are able to stick with WW. I hope I am too. I hope we can all support each other. We can all do this. We know we can. We just have to decide we are going to. Keep in touch.

onion2 and needanewme I hope you are doing great!!!

Lets just be there for each other. This is going to be hard but we can do it!!!!

GOOD morning,

Today will be a good day.

Let's all think like the Groundhog, since it is HIS day, and take a look at our shadows.

What we see today will NOT be what we se next Groundhog's Day.

One day, one meal and one bite.

We CAN and WILL do this....together.

Health and Happiness,
Windsong

How about calling ourselves THe Ladies of Shangrala?

Default Ladies of Shangrala

Windsong,
What a great idea. You start the thread and I will be there. I hope we can all stick together and offer each other support. You have already come so far.
We all share the same goal.

I know for myself I have "hit rock bottom". My FAT has caused me so much pain and depression. I really can't stand it anymore. My weight controls me and dictates my entire life.

But today I am going to start caring about myself. I am going to stop trying to hide from myself and just face the fact that I have gained an enormous amount of weight and now I have to work VERY hard to lose it. I know I can. I just have to keep reminding myself I am a strong determined person.

I have been up all night. Kind of like the first day of school. Getting recipes and planning meals. I have to do this. I can't continue punishing my family because I want to hide from the world.

Okay, sorry for the rambling. Back to the point. I would love to start a new support group for any of us who want to stick with each other. We can be WW buddys and keep each other going strong.

I will be watching for our Ladies of shangrala.

Have a great day. I will check in later.

D

Hi All!!1

I like the name Ladies of Shangrala Too!!! You got my vote...

Girly..What is a Mommy and Me meeting? Do you bring your kids? Never heard of that. I think I may have used my extra 35 points last night and that is something I didn't want to do. I got home from work and ate some salted peanuts...I love them but they are way pointy!!! So I have to tell DH not to bring peanuts into the house. He will be sad, He loves them but they are not good for him...At least how we eat them, like a big huge bowl full.

Besides the peanuts I did ok, Today is a day off and I will do lots of fun things, including going to the gym. I just have to do it. I know once I get back into it, it will be great. Just starting is hard. I have a quilt to finnish so I can show at my meeting today and I have to start on 2 pillow cases, but they don't have to be finnished for a week.

Have a great day all you nice ladies of shngrala!!!
