So, how is everyone doing on their challenges?

I got to the gym 4 days last week and I went this morning. I had my first WI yesterday and dropped 2 lbs. Yippee! That makes it easier to stay determined.

Well, I managed to control myself with most things in Paris, but the degustation de fromages was a bit of a challenge.

We ended up walking about 3-4 hours a day. As much as I appreciate the Paris metro system, in the glorious weather, why not walk?

I have exercised and started journalling again. I'll weigh in today and see where I stand.

Hi everyone!

I'd like to join the Halloween Challenge too! I need a firm date and goal to stick to

My plan: To lose 12.5 pounds in 5 weeks (2.5 pounds a week), going from 198.5 today to 186 on October 31st.

How I'm going to beat the battle of the bulge:
-6 times a week: 1-hour cardio workouts at the YMCA on the elliptical trainer and the rowing machine (Thank God for low-impact exercise! I'm saving kick-boxing for when I'm at the top of my healthy weight range)
-Journaling and keeping OP with WW
-Drinking at least 8 glasses of water daily
-Getting in that 5 servings of fruits/veggies
-Buying WW freezer meals, fresh fruit and canned veggies - because I am so time-restricted for cooking, I need to get easy-to-prepare foods or I'm going to fall right back into ordering Pizza Hut pan pizzas.

The key for me is going to be getting up at 5 am to get in a workout before work. I know that if I wait until after work, FORGET IT hehehe! I work four 10-hour days and take class/time off on Wednesdays, so after 10 hours, I know I will be too pooped to go jump to the gym.

I'm going to move my alarm clock far away from my bed tonight to ensure there won't be any repetive Snooze Button abuse

I'm doing WW at home, after losing 52 pounds with it from 1999-2001. I fell off, got back up to 202 recently (HORRORS!) and am just fed up with:
-The whole "plus size" shopping (size 18/20)
-Having sore knees and a hard time climbing stairs
-Having zero energy
-Sex appeal? What's that?
-Having the Pizza Hut staff recognize my voice within seconds
-Actually feeling so heavy that it's hard to get out of bed! Blech!

Good luck to everyone joining up! I look forward to keeping up with you all...

Down .4# even with a wedding and eating out for 3 or 4 meals last week. Whoo hoo.

Definitely on track for the challenge, my only problem now is getting enough water and veggies.

Bumping up...

Weighed in this am and down another 1.6#, I'm definitely going to start writing things down, don't want to get too cocky.

I'm really liking my 7 am Tuesday meeting. Sort of charges me up for the rest of the week.

How is everyone else doing?

I went to wi on Tuesday and was down 1.8. My baby has been sick and I've not walked in 2 weeks, so I was happpy with the loss. As far as making this challenge I don't know. I'm going to keep on track and see.

Hey Challengers!
I met my 6 pounds down a little earlier than Halloween! That's great news. Now I'll stay with the rest of my challenge which is to exercise 1/2 hour for 5 out of 7 days a week. That's what is helping me lose weight this time.

Yeah for you Itryharder !

I'm one lb away from my challenge goal too, but I have a week of work travel and personal travel. Hopefully I can maintain!

My challenge will be to keep within my points, drink water and exercise everyday that I am near a gym!

whoo hoo, after a week of work travel and a quick trip to London I came back 1.8# lower and lost approximately 7.2# for the challenge period.

Christmas challenge is up, but I have a post-thanksgiving goal of 5#.

lalala,
This in incredible! Going to London and losing weight. Fabulous.

I lost again this week and I guess we're saying goodbye to our Halloween challenge. That was fun and now it's on to Thanksgiving.
Love,
Judy

Itry,

Thanks, I think what helped was that I didn't stay in London too long and vowed not to stick my head into one of those sandwich type places on my journeys.

I'm heading back the first weekend of december, so my goal is to be down another couple as insurance.

Congrats yourself by the way and for everyone else!
