On todays Rosie she said she has lost 5 lbs. in 2 weeks!
Will be interesting to see what happens with her. I wish her the best and hope she sticks with it.

I love Rosie, but she DID tell the world that she had 5 pieces of pizza AND finished it off with something else, giving her a 67 point day a few days ago. I don't expect perfection from her, but I also don't think I'll be going to her to set the example for me. If I want to have better results on WW, I will come to my trusty message boards and if I want to laugh, I'll go to Rosie. Sometimes I get to get good results and laugh at the same time on the message boards. And maybe when Rosie becomes as seasoned at WW as she is at her chosen profession, I'll get both from her. Right now I just don't expect that from her.

Go Rosie! What a great person to be on WW. Hope she
does well. Don't care who makes dough on the deal as long as she inspires folks to get healthy.....

Judygal,

Where did you get those wonderful little attachments? I love them, especially the quilt heart and home is where you hang your heart.

I SAW ROSIE TODAY AND SHE DIDN'T SEEM TO BE VERY SERIOUS ABOUT WW. SHE SAID SHE WAS OUT OFTOWN AND WENT OFF PROGRAM BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T HAVE HER MATERIALS WITH HER. THAT'S NO EXCUSE. SHE SHOULD TAKE THINGS WITH HER OR PLAN AHEAD. I DON'T THINK SHE IS SERIOUS ABOUT THIS. ALSO SHE SAID IF SHE DOES LOSE THE WEIGH, AFTER A WHILE SHE WOULD GAIN IT BACK. DOESN'T SHE KNOW WW'S IS A WAY OF LIFE TO CHANGE YOUR EATING HABITS? I WISH SHE WOULD GET SERIOUS OR ELSE NOT DO THE PROGRAM.

My first month of weight watchers I wasn't that careful. I lost weight, but still went out to dinner a lot (and wouldn't count the points), shared desserts with friends and the like. I then had a *tiny* .2 loss one week and realized if I was going to really do this I had to be much more careful. In many ways I consider my first month of WW as a transitional month, getting used to everything (ordering dressing on the side, ordering a salad instead of garlic bread even), but old habits die hard and it took a while to get used to it.

Hopefully for Rosie, she'll settle in to the program, give her time. Some people can jump into the program and be perfect 24/7 from day 1, that is great and admirable. Others of us, need time to get used to it and need the time to establish what makes of full and finding the healthy lifestyle that we can live with.

Also there's a bit of novelty with points when someone first starts the program and it's great to discover that a Small fries at McDonald's is 5 points. I tried to find as many ways to get in as much junk food through my day, but alas, I learned those foods were not satisfying me (though I do treat myself occasionally).

Best of Luck to Rosie, her struggles are real and to me she seems like a real WW member trying to get used to the program (though I am still a little hesitant about discussing WW constantly on her show).

Take Care!

Ali

Default rosie o'donnel

Perhaps we should e-mail Rosie and tell her about great sites like this one! I'll do that today! Losing weight is hard enough and doing it in the public eye must be nerve wracking. here everyone can come anonamosly.

Felicia, thanks for the compliment. I got the graphics from my website (I'm a teacher)

http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/8509

I found them years ago when putting it together. It's nothing original and I found it just by surfing the web. I'm really into patchwork so it was nice to find something that represents myself. I really appreciate your kind words.
