My first month of weight watchers I wasn't that careful. I lost weight, but still went out to dinner a lot (and wouldn't count the points), shared desserts with friends and the like. I then had a *tiny* .2 loss one week and realized if I was going to really do this I had to be much more careful. In many ways I consider my first month of WW as a transitional month, getting used to everything (ordering dressing on the side, ordering a salad instead of garlic bread even), but old habits die hard and it took a while to get used to it.
Hopefully for Rosie, she'll settle in to the program, give her time. Some people can jump into the program and be perfect 24/7 from day 1, that is great and admirable. Others of us, need time to get used to it and need the time to establish what makes of full and finding the healthy lifestyle that we can live with.
Also there's a bit of novelty with points when someone first starts the program and it's great to discover that a Small fries at McDonald's is 5 points. I tried to find as many ways to get in as much junk food through my day, but alas, I learned those foods were not satisfying me (though I do treat myself occasionally).
Best of Luck to Rosie, her struggles are real and to me she seems like a real WW member trying to get used to the program (though I am still a little hesitant about discussing WW constantly on her show).
Take Care!
