Koshka - I actually meant the post for you; I made a mistake with the usernames but I have update the original post and made the change. Whoops. Lol.
Anyway, thank you so much for your lovely post. It gave me a lot of insight. I will have to check out your blog. I find it very helpful to learn from those who have went through the regain process; I did WW several years ago and lost about half of what I was supposed to. Then at some point my little brain decided that I didn't need to go to meetings (which I actually enjoyed) and that I didn't need to continue eating healthily and tracking my points. So, I too ended up regaining the weight plus about 40 pounds more (I can't recall the exact amounts).
I really like your insight. I think my hesitancy with my goal weight comes from a personal desire for perfection and also because one of the leaders made a comment about how it is best to set your goal in the middle of the healthy range so that if you gain you'd still be within the healthy range (if you gained 10-15 pounds). So that kind of stuck with me. However, well - I don't plan on regaining 10-15 pounds so I really should discard the advice, you know?
I agree with you, after reflecting on it, that any weight within the healthy range is a healthy weight. As well, as you said if I maintained the weight for a while and then for some reason decided to go lower, then the option is always there for me. After reading your comments and doing a lot of reflecting this week, I really think today at weigh in that I will have reached my goal (I am already in the healthy range by a pound or so).
I think I am definitely ready to say, "This is my body. It looks good and feels good. I'm going to accept it as it is now and stop hoping that all my imperfections go away" I also was thinking of how many people, for a variety of reasons, never get to say that in their lifetime and how incredibly blessed I am that I *can* say that.
I am starting to get a little excited. I want my star charm! I still have to see what the scale says today; I always stick to my plan but you just never know I guess. Our bodies are funny things.
I am also trying out a few new recipes this weekend. Mostly Greek and Indian dishes.
Serenity - thank you for your encouragement

I have struggled with my attitude my whole life and over the pst year have tried very hard to develop a better outlook.
I wanted to encourage everyone to keep on working at it

I see so many positive decisions and changes here - it is truly amazing. I also respect an have learnt from the people who post their challenges; it is very helpful.
