I agree with all of you. WW's is a great plan and much easier to stick with for life because of it’s flexibility.

lazylioness - You crack me up, but you're right losing weight is hard and I don't want to have to do this all over again either. I promised myself many years ago that I would never let myself hit 300 pounds again and I did and I was miserable. The lowest weight I ever remember being is 217 and that was back when I got pregnant with my daughter in 1998. I was a kid the last time I weighed under 200 pounds and so I don't have a clue what it feels like or what I'll look like. I set my goal at 175 and I will be completely amazed if I can make it that far, if I do get there I may want to lose more. Right now my goal is to hit that 100 pounds lost mark, which I'm almost there. After that my big goal is to go under 200. For me, that will be a miracle. Back before I started losing weight in the late 1990's I don't even know what my highest weight was. I'm pretty sure it was even higher than 336, but 336 was what I got up to before I started this journey in 2011. It has taken me a long time to get to where I am, but I had fallen off the diet wagon and gained back 25 pounds. I restarted my journey this past June and I'm just thankful I started back when I did because I was going up fast! I really, really hope I can make it to my goal and stay on a plan like WW's for life. I obviously can't maintain my weight loss without some kind of plan. I go hog wild and do things like eat a whole package of chips ahoy cookies. I have no self control once I get started. Binge eating is a big problem for me.

Anyway, I didn't mean to write a book. I was just reading through the last few comments on this thread and found myself agreeing with everyone and wanted to join in lol.

Tomorrow is the last day of our current weight loss challenge here at work. I have surpassed my goal of 5% loss in six weeks. As of last week I was the only one who had made it, but I think two more of my fellow coworkers have now met the goal. That means the pot will be split three ways. That's still over $100 each so I guess I can be happy with that Our final weight for this challenge will be our beginning weight for our next challenge. We are immediately starting another six week challenge, but I think it's going to be a winner takes all. These challenges at work have been a godsend. I know I wouldn't be doing as well as I am if it wasn't for them. This website helps me out a lot as well. I need all the support I can get.

Mandydawn, binge eating is a huge problem for me too, especially when it comes to sweets or pizza. I really like keeping sugar free Jello double chocolate pudding cups in the house - they're 2 pts, I won't binge things that are prepackaged into servings, and they're a pretty good chocolate fix.

My favorite dessert currently is a sugar free jello cup with 1/4 cup of frozen cool whip free. Not the sugar free, the one that just says free.

1 point. Yeah buddy!

Very glad you wrote a book!

We are starting a challenge at work after Christmas. $50 buy in.

I'll have to try those dessert ideas. I've been buying the sugar free jello and sugar free hunts pudding, but that chocolate sounds yummy and I need to get some of that cool whip too.

I'm happy to say I was one of the winners of the weight loss challenge. I lost 17 pounds in 6 weeks, so I am proud of myself. There were two other winners so we had to split the pot 3 ways. My boss just barely made it. Now we are already starting the next and it's a winner takes all six-week challenge. I hope I do as well as I did this 6 weeks, but I don't know if I can do that good again.

lazylioness - You'll have to let me in on the details for your weight loss challenge. We are trying to come up with our challenge for January. We try to change it up each time.

Happy Friday everyone!

Yeah it is! Frozen, seriously yummy addiction! My hubs adds some frozen mangoes with strawberry jello and the coolwhip. Adds more bang for his buck.

AWESOME for winning! Even split three ways is awesome!

Ours is a winner take all 3 month challenge based on % loss (of course). $50 buy in. So depending on how many people join....I could make a pretty penny

Hopefully I am not at a disadvantage as by that time I will have been losing for a year, and SHOULD be almost 100lbs down...so the people that are just starting will have those glorious early diet "wooshes"...but if they can maintain for three months...I do not know.

Money is a big motivator for me

I feel the same way about our challenge starting in January because there are some that have been wanting to join us this past challenge and we didn't feel it would be fair because they would have an advantage, but we told them starting January they could join us. We originally just wanted to keep it within our department, but that never happens lol. Both of our challenges have been the same top 3. We have really worked our butts off (literally lol). For example, the first go round was 12 weeks and the entire group (9 women) lost a total of 106 pounds - the three of us alone lost 89 pounds. This go round there were 8 in the group and we lost 59 total and the top 3 had lost 39 of that. So, since June 14th we have lost 165 pounds as a group and the three of us alone have lost 128 of those pounds. It has always been us three that are in major competition, but anyone could come in and kick our butts if they would just try. Some of them just pay in their money and don't even try. We work for the state of Oklahoma and trust me when I say we make well below the average pay and we all live paycheck to paycheck and I will not throw away my money like that. I'll keep taking their money, but I don't understand it, they just get on the scale and keep relosing and regaining the same couple of pounds and just shrug their shoulders like they don't care at all. Two of them have tried to lose and it just seems harder for them, they are exercising like crazy and eating healthy so I don't understand why they aren't losing more. One lost 3.66% though so that wasn't bad. I was hoping she would make it because I know she tried hard.

Wish I had that support. I'm just happy to be getting healthy again though it would be nice to have help to buy a few more outfits.

Headed to LA today for our monthly "family day of culture". My kids are all grown up now 22,19,15 but since they were wee tots we have tried to take one day a month and do something not related to "pop culture". No movies (unless they are a super cool educational type IMAX documentary) no tv or video games. Needless to say this has allowed my kids to have a good appreciation for things other than what is "trendy".

On the agenda for today, California Science Center to see the Space Shuttle, birthday request of the eldest, who happens to want to break the stereotype of scientists and hotty California girls by being a hotty astro physicist. Lol

This trip will be a lot of low intensity walking, lots of "easy" activity points.

What does everyone plan on doing this weekend?

We were supposed to go to a BBQ tonight at some friends' house but I think it will be too many strangers for the husband and I am so behind on work, I could really use the time. Not to mention, tomorrow is our 1 year anniversary. My husband is making a turkey dinner, his most favorite dinner. Our anniversary cake is in the freezer, I'll probably put it in the fridge tonight to thaw.

My scale finally moved down! I saw 187 this morning! Hooray!
