I did that ONCE... and it was pretty funny... I made it through the marathon... but we had like a 3 hour drive home after, because the marathon was down in Philly and I literally couldn't get out of the car when we got home... lol... Actually, I don't think I could walk right for like a week after that little "experiment"... But hey, live and learn right...?

Just bought a fitbit Zip a little over a week ago now and I am loving it! I clip it on my bra every day.

I didn't go with the others because 1) the cost and I didn't know if I would use it a lot (I so do) and 2) I didn't care about the sleep part right now.

It makes me walk a LOT more! If anything it made me realize how much I do not walk because of work!

Booooo...I don't think mine is working correctly, from 8-1 it said 910 steps only, and I know I went much more then that!

I don't think it counts when you take less than 5 steps at a time. Are you in an office or somewhere that you might get up a lot but not really go far?

I know it's very common for me to get to 5:00 and I've accumulated a total of 2,000 steps or so (which I'm trying to boost).

I decided to take the day off today, because I was getting a little crazy with the FitBit this week... I set my goal for 15,000 steps each day and I did 20,000+ on a couple of days so I could get that badge... And I did 115 flights of stairs one day to get the 100 floors climbed in a day badge... I was trying to go for the 125 floors in a day badge, but I just couldn't bring myself to climb another flight of stairs that day... But I'm gonna rest up and make another attempt at it soon... I did get my first lifetime badge for 500 floors climbed which has a cute little helicopter on it though...lol.. So I'm happy about that... And we'll see how I feel this weekend... I might go for a hike and try for that 25,000 steps in a day badge...

So can you buy a fitbit from a local store like Target or Walmart, or just buy it online?

I bought my Fitbit at Best Buy. I have read online about some buying them at Target; but haven't seen any in my local stores.

TripSwitch, not sure whether I'm a fan of the new dashboard. I don't hate it...but, I think I liked the old one better. Maybe I'll get used to it in time. There is a way to change/add icons or whatever they call them. But, the old style used to show what badges you earned for that particular day; not just the highest one you've ever earned.
