I am so hungry on WW that I want to scream. I am on 30 points, and eat my weekly allowance too early. Just one week of staying straight. I am a vegetarian. Please give me your tips.
My first two weeks on WW, I was chew my own arm off hungry. What saved me is protein. Whenever I get hungry, I eat some protein. I don't know if this works with a vegetarian diet but boiled eggs at 2 pts a piece really saw me through that time when my body was adjusting to much less food. Also, string cheese. Oh and beans! I made some black bean soup that really knocked the hunger demons right square in the patoot.

I just started.... and in comparison to calorie counting I am not really hungry.
I do eat some meat, but I can't tolerate dairy.... so I can't give you much meal advise other than maybe try to veggie load in combination with other things. Yesterday I skimped at lunch b/c I knew supper was going to be a big one..... so I had pinto beans and added cauliflower to it to "bulk" it up.... it was very good..... and only 5 points.
Before the program what did you eat to stay full? Maybe you can just adapt that.....
Sorry, I can't help you more.... other than to tell you hang in there.
Not on WW now, but have been in the past (LONG ago). Not all points are created equal. If you eat things like toast or bread, try to cut those out. They are simple carbs/sugar based foods. Add more greens and proteins and fats - that FILL you and KEEP you filled.
Thank you. I need to learn to like hard boiled eggs, or at least, egg whites. Right now, I hate them. How did I eat before? Well, three months ago I started a new job in an area with dozens of the most delicious restaurants in town, all with amazing lunch specials. I managed to pack on 20 pounds in three months.
It's really easy to pack on the pounds when eating out all the time. Buhleeve me, I know. I gained 8 pounds on my last business trip! However, on previous trips I was able to maintain and even lose. The trick is the mind set and asking for what you want. I understand that it must be doubly hard when you're a vegetarian, but I've found that most restaurants are accommodating. I ask for double servings of veg instead of fries. I get grilled chicken (sorry) instead of hamburger. I ask for olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dressings instead of creamy dressings. Stuff like that.
So I'm not on WW now, but have been in the past...but not as a vegetarian, which I am now. Are fruits and veggies still 0 points? If so, are you eating them? If not, I'd say that would really hurt you in the long run (see here, they make great snacks: http://www.weightwatchers.com/util/a...1&art_id=59781. Try making some 0 point veggie soup. 1/2 cup of lentils is just 2 pts+ (recipes here: http://www.weightwatchers.com/util/a...182921&sc=3017).
What are you eating? You still need protein. You'll want to use nuts, beans, etc. I just made a snack of popcorn and nutritional yeast and a banana. Omg I am FULL!
Are you a full veg or do you eat fish sometimes? I used to live on fish and tons of vegs.
Garnet, for some reason calorie counting made me want to chew my arm off.... but I am ok with points.... but that is the reason I signed up b/c I needed something to force me to eat "better" calories. I have not had my first weigh in, but I feel MUCH better about what I am eating.
I agree you can pack on pounds quick with a new job or anything... I gained 30 pounds since August after 4 steroid shots and 2 oral doses.... But, I should have stopped eating too....
Lettings, have you tried maybe a small spoon of mayo or greek yogurt in your eggs, kinda like egg salad? I used to eat that for breakfast when I got tired of boiled eggs. I would prefer the yolks, so I am not a big fan of the white and it helps.
Breathingspace gave some great advise with the 0 point soup.
Oh, and have you seen the P2B... it is the powdered peanut butter. It is pricey, but it only has 2 points and you could do it with celery. ORRR on a 0 point banana.
Just hang in there..... This too shall pass..... And you may have to remind me of that later. lol

I joined WW 5 weeks ago,and it was an adjustment. I was so used to grazing all day,(unhealthy food) that it took several weeks,to deal with hunger. I tend to like sweet things,so my arsenal, was to be prepared with healthy, filling snacks. I take serving sizes of grapes, individually bagged, and freeze them. You can have a cup,and they are crunchy and sweet. I also, cut up a small banana, freeze it,put it in a food processor, and it makes a big bowl of delish, banana ice cream! You can have 5 servings of fruit a day, with 0 points. I also cut up various vegies, and make my own hummus, with garbanzo beans, and no oil. Like the other ladies were saying, beans are a great source of fiber and protein and fill you up. I was so used to my stomach being full all the time, that when it wasn't,it was uncomfortable. I found, that sometimes, hunger pains, means you need to drink more water,or need some other means of comfort. Huge learning process! We can all use encouragement and support.Hang in there.
