Since you are vegan, I'm just wondering what these restaurants were serving that was so good and yet so fattening?

I grew up and still live in the middle of beef country, and out here, vegan is the salad bar! Don't get me wrong, I do not have anything against the vegan lifestyle, I love veggies, I eat them by the truckload. I'm lucky I live on 100 acres and grow and freeze/can/dehydrated my organic veggies and fruit!

The thing is just being vegan, does not equate a healthy eating plan. Obviously, or you would not have gained 20 pounds.

So, like other posters, could we see a food log, that would be very helpful, in helping you with making better choices.

If you attend meetings, there is a free handout you can get on tailoring the plan for vegetarians.

I was the same way until I realized that my body wants fat with every meal. As long as I get 8-10 grams of fat with each meal (2-3 points worth) my body is happy and satisfied until the next meal. Right now I'm at 48 points and hoping that I can decrease that to 1-2 points a meal once I get to lower point amounts.

I know this may sound weird but are you drinking enough water? For the first week of WW, I was STARVING to the point where I was willing to eat anything!! I found in addition to adding more healthy proteins (like others have suggested already), I also started to drink water all throughout the day. Not diet soda, not crystal light but pure wonderful water!!! I once heard your body has the same "hunger" signal when you are hungry for food and when your thirsty - which unfortunately for us, our brain can't determine which one it is. For me, I drink water first...if I'm still starving, I eat some fruit, veggies or another 0 - low points snack.
