Hi everyone!! Looks like everyone is having a blast!

Just woke up. Slept in. Its good to not wake up so early. And been working for 7 days its tiring (7 on 7 off). Now eating brunch with toast (4pts)and laughing cow cheese (triangle green one ~ 1pt) and a cup of coffee (3pts) while listening to Pandora and reading y'all post here. Love to be off!

Ok I weighed this morning (unofficial) and oh no up by 0.8 lbs!! :( It only took a minute or 2 of disappointment. Yesterday went to the gym and did Cardio Strength. Dang! Our instructor was the bomb. Now all my muscle are in pain hehehe. Plus TOM so maybe thats the reason I see a gain ~ water retention ~ from sore muscles and TOM. So hopefully on saturday (official WI) I loose all this water.

My plan for today becuase of sore muscle and water retention I will eat less salt and drink lots of water. Will be hitting the gym again tonight. My favorite class fitness dance!

Well have a good rest of the day guys! :)

smashlers - The "Swoosh" is what people describe as to how your body will hold onto water/weight and then all of a sudden you're down a few pounds.

I'll look into it. DH is a pasta lover so I'd like to find something we both enjoy. lol

smashlers 02-07-2013 02:19 PM

:carrot::carrot::carrot: Down 2.6! I needed that! I am back on track for my month. I took half the day off from work and now I will enjoy some quiet time!

Sweettooth56 You'll notice that a lot of us don't always use up all of our weekly points. If you're full, and satisfied... you are full and satisfied. a 6.2 lose is AWESOME. Keep up the good work.

gooch100 02-07-2013 02:20 PM

Hey all, we are gearing up for big snow here in MI (possibly 10-12 inches in the next 24 hours) so am pretty sure I will be earning my AP by shoveling the driveway, sidewalk and deck. :D I am sure the drive home from work tonight will be wonderful (insert sarcasm font here).

Managed to have many fewer choco chips last night than the night before so I am almost back to my pre-TOM weight. Yay! I think another few days staying on plan and I will have a loss by Monday. Here to getting near my 5% mark.

I was wondering if when you hit mini-milestones/goals do you do anything special for yourself? I was thinking that at each 5% mark I would schedule with something like a mani, pedi, haircut, facial, etc. to help keep me motivated and to celebrate in a way that doesn't involve food. I figure with all the Groupon/Living Social deals I can keep the costs pretty low.

chickadeee55 02-07-2013 05:44 PM

Did my 15 minute mile again. I have to write it somewhere, even though it is not a huge thing, but I made time and did it.

roxannestags 02-07-2013 08:09 PM

Sweettooth: It's amazing how those points add up. My first weekend, I thought I wasn't being awful with my points. I ate some cheesy bread though and wow....I used all my weekly points plus 96 more! Good job on the loss! That is amazing! They do say that we are supposed to eat all of our points. I sometimes have a hard time doing that as well because I don't always eat all 3 meals.

Smashlers: Congrats on all the workouts! I can't find the original post about the pasta...what kind is it? Congrats on the 2.6 loss!

Fattitude: Your loaded red potatoes sounds sooo good. I love red potatoes.

myfavisblue: Good job on the workout!

Gooch: stay safe on that drive home! And keep warm! I think doing something special for yourself when you hit the goals is a good idea. I plan on allowing myself to buy something special...don't know what but something!

Chickadee: Actually doing the walk, making the time for it...it IS a huge thing. It's those things that make permanent changes for us. Good job!

Well, my eating this morning wasn't so great.

I didn't eat anything at 2 because I wasn't hungry. Then at 8 I was starving but the weight watchers smart one I got was not very good. It was the sesame noodle. It was too sweet. So dh got me fast food instead.

Chicken nuggets 14
small fry 7
hash brown 7
ranch dressing 6

31 points for a not so great breakfast! Insane. That is why I don't eat out at fast food much anymore!

I hit my 5% goal and I'm rewarding myself with a bellydance class this weekend. Although that may be a monthly reward for keeping on. With my work schedule, I can't take weekly classes, but I figure a class once a month is doable!

roxannestags 02-08-2013 05:24 AM

Daimere: What an awesome reward. You will have to tell us about it after the class!

Well dinner ended up being another meal out. Dh brought home nachos. I rated it high for points, which put me over on my weekly points. Then I only ate half of it but left the points just in case. lol

I do think that it's not a good idea for me to be eating out so often. It's harder to figure out the points for the meals! Although Applebee's has WW points listed on their menu for some of their items!

IT'S FRIDAY!

I just love Fridays, but who doesn't? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my job. Like, I actually enjoy what I do, but the weekends, boy oh boy! I get to see my family and friends and I just love it! Tomorrow - I have my first official WW Weigh In/Meeting with my Dad! I'm excited to be on this journey with him. I need him around for when I have kids. :) After, I'm doing a bit of shopping, errand running, etc. AND - DH and I get a 3-4 week break from the nephew's sporting events since it's in between seasons. WOOHOO - sleeping in!

On a super SUPER proactive note, I planned my entire week out next week for points breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2-3 snacks. I am going to give the Wendie plan a shot and see how I do on cycling. Though, I finally got my swoosh - just in time for my WI tomorrow, this morning: down 2.6 from yesterday.

----------

sweettooth56 - 6.2 is HUGE for someone as small as you are! I saw 6.2 my first week and I weigh 40-50 more pounds than you! Are you getting all of your healthy requirements in? Like, 2tsp of healthy oils, dairy, etc? That always helps me use all of my points.

smashlers - WOOHOO :carrot: Enjoy your quiet time!

gooch100 - Oh yes! Be safe! We have family throughout the North East and they're saying this'll be a historic storm. :( What are choco chips? As far as rewards go, hmm...no, not really. My reward is TTC when I hit goal and living a healthy life - oh, and a shopping spree. lol

chickadeee55 - a 15 minute mile is better than not doing anything! You could have just blown it off, but you didn't. That's huge! Congrats!

roxannestags - Is DH OP? The loaded red potatoes are SUPER easy. I toss them in EVOO, bake them until crisp, put some low fat shredded cheese and bacon on top then 2tsbp of light SC and green onions. MMMmmmm. DH loves them, too. All in they're 9 points (4pts potatoes, 2pts cheese, 1pt hormel "real bacon bits", 1pt 1tsp EVOO, 1pt 2tbsp Light Sour Cream) - but feel like I'm eating 80pts. LOL.

Daimere - OHhhhh - have fun!!! I took a "jiggle it" class that was all booty popping, @ss clapping, shaking, twerking, etc. and LOVED it. I did it for like 6 months (I even bought the stripper heels and 100% got into it) but then life got SO busy and I had to quit. It was SUCH a work out though!

gooch100 02-08-2013 08:24 AM

SoMuchFattitude - choco chips are just chocolate chips. I love to bake so always have a bag of chips in my pantry in case I need to get my bake on. Only problem is that they are sometimes too tempting. :T

We didn't get quite as much snow as predicted. Only 8-10 inches and it came down in 2 waves. So we shoveled wave 1 last night and will get the overnight stuff when DH and I get home tonight. Still, glad I had 4 wheel drive this morning.

Today is DH's birthday so we are celebrating with dinner out tomorrow. I have been saving my flex points so I should be able to stay on plan. We will be reviewing the Dining Out guide tonight to see what will be the best place to go.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy Friday!

In my head, I was thinking chocolate covered potato chips. I'm a baker, too - but I'm not a huge sweets person. I can say no to that kind of stuff pretty easily. BUT - cheese, french bread, tortilla chips, cheese dip.....mmmm - my weakness.

Hi folks! I don't think I've posted in this thread but I've lurked a little, hope you don't mind. Lots of great ideas here!

I am officially one week into WW and had my second weigh in last night. I was quite disappointed that I didn't have a huge loss as is typical for the first week. I was down 1.8 pounds, which is a good solid loss, just not that euphoric 5-6 pounds initial loss I was expecting.

I am enjoying the meetings so far, they are quite inspiring. I am going to focus on adding more exercise starting this week, as I am pretty much sedentary right now. I do try to work out every day, but when I'm not working out, I'm not moving a whole lot. I think that will change when the weather starts getting nicer.

Have a great day!

SoMuchFattitude 02-08-2013 08:46 AM

forkeeps - WELCOME! Where in GA are you?

The 2nd week weigh in is never as good as week 1! In fact, a lot of people don't lose anything on week two or gain (he|l, I gained .2 on week 2 and .2 on week 3 even though I was perfect on plan!)

forkeeps 02-08-2013 08:54 AM

SoMuchFattitude:

I am in Paulding County, so I guess we're almost neighbors. :-)

Actually, this WAS my first week. It was the second weigh-in because the first weigh-in was the day I signed up. That's why I was looking forward to a big loss. But like I said, at least it was a loss, not a gain.

You are doing great! Congrats on what you've accomplished so far.

Daimere 02-08-2013 11:18 AM

SoMuchFattitude-At PlayThink last year, I watched (I was feeling sick and needed to rest) a burlesque class and it was crazy! I took some of the moves and added them into hooping. It was fun!

Today I made the spinach and mushroom couscous for dinner/breakfast/brunch/whatever this meal counts as. I love couscous and needed to get rid of some spinach which was on it's way to going bad. I also made skinny strawberry romanoff which I've been craving for a week (if you want to make a single serving use 2 Tbsp of sour cream and 1.5-2 tsp of brown sugar).
