Hi! I was on the old plan until november last year, between may and november I lost about 28lbs. Since going on the new plan I have lost a further 35lbs and got to goal on 1st June! I am still losing because they let you go as much under your goal as you want (within a healthy bmi range). The new plan is great and I eat SO much more on it than I did on the old plan, and I always eat my 49 weekly points!

Fairy, I am so happy to read this. I am an at work member just new to PP. The majority of the people at work are previous members, many who reached goal on the prior program and show up for a monthly weigh in. While some of them talk the PP talk, they are maintaining the way they previously learned how, either after giving PP a shot or not bothering at all. Its sometimes hard to have a discussion, as can be imagined. I am skeptical also, having read so many negative "reviews" or "experiences" online, but then I do find some positive experiences, like yours, and it inspires me. Especially in doing the math, it looks like you lost MORE on PP in a similar amount of time doing the prior version, and at a time where you are close to your goal where it gets harder to lose. Very inspiring. 1 question...do you exercise and if yes, what?

Hi there,
I'm also curious to know what Fairy does for exercise?..
I just started the new WW Points plus and I love it. I lost 6 lbs in the first two weeks.
I will stick with this for sure...
Congrats Fairy on your success! And good luck to the fellow newbies

I was able to lose 100 pounds on the old Program. (Through a series of bad choices gained much of it back.) But, have now lost 30 pounds on the new program and am embracing it with an open mind and positive attitude.

It's focus is a little more on food choices than simply staying within points (although both matter).

Weight Watchers would not put out a plan that they didn't back up with a whole bunch of science, research and studies.

If they changed the plan, it's to improve it. They aren't a group of cackling evil monsters aiming to ruin people's weight loss. They're a company that wants to see everyone eat healthier. They took the good of the old programs, and added to them.

Back before the Points ever existed, WW was mostly an exchange plan... and you wouldn't have read about this on the internet as it wasn't as "big" in those days, but people made a HUGE stinking fuss when WW changed over from an exchange plan to Points counting.

Some people loved it. Some people LOATHED it. It's just much more accessible to see the negative with the internet these days.

Okay. Some people don't like it. So what? There are plenty of people that do like it. Plenty more people that are sticking with it, losing weight, and continuing forward.

Like any plan (even like the previous Points plans) it needs adjusting to fit the individual. I wouldn't stress too much about what others are finding... you, yourself have to find the right plan.

I know about 20 people who have reached goal on the new WW program. I lost 40 pounds on it. I absolutely love the new system. Much better than the original points program! The only thing that changed was the points values of food and fruit and veggies are 0 points.

I've not reached my goal yet (I'm doing WW online) but I'm having a lot of success and I'm actually finding it easier to stay on program than in the past with WW. One thing I particularly like is (it seems) you don't lose points as quickly as your weight goes down - I think I started at 30 points per day, and I'm still at 29 per day (30 pounds down since I started WW). I lost some weight before I signed up and wanted some help to continue the downward trend, so far, so good!

29 points is the lowest you will go.

Okay, so I like it even more now, lol! I used to hate losing a point so often, like every 10-15 pounds on previous plans? I've not really looked at the algorithm to get my daily points, but 29 is working for me!
