I decided to follow the running plan, and have done the first two days of training so far. My husband decided to do it too, so we did Day 1 at the park with our son!
Still need to register, though.

The running isn't that bad! I just completed day 3 of week 1, and so far there has only been a total of 10 mins. of running each day, out of 30 minutes. I have not been exercising at all for the last 6 months or so, so if I can do it, anyone can!

A few of us signed up today to do it! There is no official 5K anywhere near us, so we will be doing it on our own.

Today is a rest day for me, thank goodness! Tomorrow I increase my running to 5 mins. each interval, and I'm a little nervous about that. Husband is still running with me, so we are good motivators for each other.
