I'm not "training" per se. I use the bike or the treadmill every day at the gym, and I walk my dog several times per day, so the walking in and of itself isn't a problem for me. It's really just the idea of actually completing something that appealed to me. :-)
I go for walks all the time, I'm just following the plan thingy and entering in to the contest. Plus, I think it will positively affect my weight loss by doing the added time thing.
My greyhound came to work with me today, so I took him on a half hour walk at lunch. It's something I should start doing for myself every day, if for no other reason than to get away from my desk and into the fresh air for a little while!

Well, here in my postage-stamp-sized town, we don't have a Running Room location, so there's no official Walk-It Challenge...but my WW group has decided to have a 5K walk that week anyway. I signed up last week, and have been really good about my training.
I've always been a walker and have built up quite a bit of stamina, so I am not worried at all about being able to do 5K. Actually...what I'd love is to be able to run that 5K, but I won't beat myself up if I can't run the entire way. I'm planning to start the Couch to 5K program soon, even though I'm really nervous about it (I have early onset osteoarthritis in my spine.
Anyway! I'm really looking forward to the 5K. It should be fun!
