Unhappy Starting Over

I was a member of WW for about a year, 2 years ago. I stopped going, for whatever reason, and now I think I need to start back again. My daughter wants to try it with me. We want to start to do it on our own at home. Where can I find the materials I'll need to start the program again? The program has changed a lot and I no longer have any information on it. Can anyone out there help me? Thanks in advance.

Welcome Back Sue!!

Try the Weight Watchers site (http://www.weightwatchers.com) -- I am sure you can find some good info on there!

Or you can always email me -- [email protected]

Good luck!

Tara

Hi Liscas: I just joined up yesterday after being away for at least 1.5 years, and really, the program doesn't seem too different to me. Just the good part about trying to lose 10% of your body weight, and focusing on that. That makes weight loss seem more attainable. Although it's only been 1.5 days, I seem to be more determined this time. I know I did it before, but quit before I got to my goal weight. Let's hope we can both do together. GOod luck

Hi CherG and Tara, I am seriously thinking of doing WW again but I don't have any of the information anymore. I'll hit the WW site and see what I can come up with. I need to lose weight and eat right again. My life has been a topsy turvy one for the past few years and now I have to buckle down and take care of myself. Thanks for your posts.

Talking WW Site

Wow, Thanks for the WW Site Tara. It sure has changed a lot. Seems to be more user friendly and much more informative than it used to be. Haven't checked out the message boards yet since I have always loved these message boards the most.

Liscas....Do you know if your local meetings have a free registration right now? That is what I did....I went and paid $9.95 with no reg fee and got the books and stuff I thought I needed and just stayed to doing it at home.....or....I know people put auctions on ebay for the weight watchers and Richard Simmons stuff.......good luck to you!!!

you can join the WW on line program at the WW site or the at home program on the WW site. As for the fee to join it's $18 now, they are running an ad on the TV now. Hope this helps

It costs $23 registration here in Toronto where I'm from, but I saw on the web site that if your dr. recommended you go there (which mine did), and you took a note from him, they waive the registration fee. I joined about 10 days ago, and on my first weigh in after doing the program for a week, I was down 3.6 lbs. I have to say, I'm ever so proud of my self. I haven't cheated yet, and I've exercised, but not every day. I am faithfully doing the journal thing and it really, really is a help. Good luck in your quest to lose the pounds.
