  • Hello:
I am starting WW on Tuesday. I have to lose 100 pounds also. I to have the lose 20 or 30 and then give up. Well this time I can not. I am very unhappy with how much weight I have put on. I do not fit in half my clothes.

I am 34 a single mom. I work full time and I sell AVON on the side. I want and will get this weight under control.

If you want you can email me.
  • Hi ladies!

Congratulations for taking steps to a healthier you! This is a great site for support. Several of us post on the "In it for the Long Run" thread. You're welcome to join us there. We talk about lots of things besides WW because everything in our lives has a impact on how we do with WW and striving to achieve our goals. And its fun to just share the good things that happen as well as the frustrating or sad things. We also have a challenge thread going to help us set goals and work towards them. It is a long hard journey and it is so much better with friends.

    Come on over!
  • Hi...

I'm also starting WW again tomorrow. I can't tell you which time as I've lost count. I've run the gamut from losing 2 pounds and stopping to losing 70 pounds with WW. I'm not going to meetings as I can't afford it right now (and I don't qualify for the scholarship program).

I, too, am in need of support. I have all my meals planned out for tomorrow, everything packed and ready to take to work, and I am going to work at this. I'm starting at 235. At 5'4", I'm looking to get down to 135 (which is 3 pounds lower than the lowest I've ever gotten with the WW program).

I know this program works. It's the only program that's ever worked for me. I'm sure there are other programs that work, too -- just this is the one for me.
  • Hi everyone!

Right this moment, I'm on my way out the door, going to my first WW meeting in about 5 years. I'm terrified, even though there's no reason to be afraid. I wonder why I'm so upset about going to a place where people are kind and supportive? Weird....

Anyways, I look forward to seeing the new Points system. And I'm praying that I will do things differently this time, and not give up as soon as I have a bad day.

I am also mostly homebound with disabilities, though I can travel for a few miles sometimes, as long as it's a short trip. I have an Internet-based business, so I am able to help support our family. But I would certainly like to be more healthy and productive.

I'll be thinking of all the newbies (all of US newbies!) tonight. And I'll write back after the meeting, with my $0.02.

  • Hi again everyone!

I just got back from my first meeting. I wasn't able to stay for the whole meeting (because my chronic illness is more difficult to handle in the evenings). But I met the leader of the Friday morning meeting, which is probably where I'll be attending from now on. I promised to attend this week's Friday meeting if possible, so that I can have the beginner's orientation.

There's so much to say...I've been examining the information from the meeting and the newcomer's kit which I purchased. The first thing that I noticed (while cooking dinner tonight) is that home-cooked foods are SOOO much lower in points than restaurant food. My mother and I are going out to lunch tomorrow. I was surprised to find out that a regular-size order of french fries is equal to a HALF BOX of home-cooked tortellini. Wow! There's a lot that I need to learn. And I've suggested that we go to Subway tomorrow.

Well, dinner is ready (tortellini marinara). More later!

  • Good Luck you guys : ) I've done WW several times and am currently following the WW program, but not attending the meetings. I love the eating plan, but hate the meetings!!
