Sheri, good for you for going to the meeting. I'm glad you remained in the 190s. Can't wait till I get there, been since about 1985

I got my walk in today - 2 laps around the park near my house which would make the distance 3 miles (I measured once using my bike ). It felt great to be walking in the morning, especially with the sun out. I just love the weather in Colorado. I've planned out my meals for the day and just hope the stove will work long enough to cook the Mushroom Mousaka tonight. It has a computer chip and seems to freak out when excess moisture builds. Time for a repairman again!! By the way, the recipe is pretty good and it's 4 points for a rather large piece. Maybe I'll post it - no meat at all though. But lots of veggies, including eggplant. Just have to figure out how to download from MasterCook.

Have a great OP day all.

Okey Dokey Lauren, it's there. From the Moosewood Cookbook.

Oops - P.S. , it is listed under the Entree heading in the WW recipe section.

Good evening, Folks!

Just read through all the messages I've missed due to the huge Noreaster we just suffered through (35" of heavy, wet snow!).

Good news! Hubby is not only footing the bill for my rejoining WW this Saturday but he's also putting up the $$ for Jen to join. She has gained some weight this winter and wants to get back into her shorts and halter tops from last year (needs to lose 15-20 pounds). We figure this way she'll learn a healthy way to get the weight off rather than one of those horrible fad diets (or worse). Her mother (John's ex) has recently lost 87 pounds (took just over 8 months). However, she did it by fasting for three days, eating one meal, and then fasting some more. No doctor supervision, no vitimins. John and I were furious! What she does with her body is her business but Jen and Brandon (my 10-year-old step-son) shouldn't have been given that type of physical abuse as an example of the best way to lose weight. We had to argue for a few days with Jen because she wanted to try it, too. Sometimes I just want to smack that woman off the side of the head and yell "What the he** were you thinking!"

OK. I vented. Sorry about that, Folks. I guess I'm kinda protective when it comes to my kids (all of them).

I didn't see any responses to the GS cookie demon I'm facing. No one else getting cookie deliveries now? My husband "surprised" me tonight by bringing home four more boxes! At least they are not my favorite flavors so I think I can resist them. Maybe I'll send most of them over to my daughter-in-law's house (she's a size 5 and really does need to gain some weight). Or maybe I'll send them to Donna's house (John's ex). Afterall, "Brandon" might like them. (Ohhh. I'm so bad. )

Well, gotta go. I've got an awful cold and it's time for the Niquil. Oh. That reminds me. Does medication like Niquil have points? Just curious.

Joanne, what about freezing the suckers. I've always heard they hold up well to freezing. Break them up into serving sizes and throw them into those small zip lock freezer bags. I've got a box of lemon cookies and thin mints, but haven't opened them yet. So far I haven't wanted to use the points. Plus they are in a cabinet that I don't open too often so I don't really think about them.

DH walked one lap with me today and it got my speed up. Maybe I'll hire him as my personal trainer .

Hi!

Unfortunately, I don't have room in my freezer for them. I think I will send them over to my daughter-in-law and my neighbor (she helped shovel us out of the last storm).

Jen is going to be very upset with me tonight. At work, we have to take turns covering the weekends. The woman who is supposed to cover this weekend was recently told that her father only has a short time left. She has been driving 3 hours to see him every Friday night and returning on Monday mornings. I volunteered to cover her shift this weekend (6:00 Am to noon) so she could leave tonight and (hopefully) miss the next storm coming in (another 9-12" ). After I volunteered, I remembered the meeting (10:00 AM). There's no way for me to do both and I won't reneg on my offer to my coworker. Jen (hopefully) will understand. We'll have to wait until next weekend. Probably just as well as my "visitor" struck this morning.

This thread is getting pretty long. I had a hard time viewing the second page last night (kept telling me it couldn't find it). How does a new thread get started? I don't want to lose touch with you all now that I'm back on track.

For those of you in the New England area -- Please stay safe this weekend. Well, actually, that sentiment is for all of you (even those of you lucky enough to live in a warmer state ).

jdoneil1: I hope that Jen won't be angry about missing the WW meeting. I may have missed how old she is, but she may be more understanding if you tell her the circumstances. This will give you the opportunity to show her how to support others (your co-worker) and keep your word (forfeiting your WW meeting for your co-worker). I think it's a wonderful thing that you have done.

Default Wow!!!Hi everyone

I have not been here for a long time, but I feel like I came home when I saw this item and all your names on the board--I'm so excited to see you all--I'm going to read back thru the thread tonite.

I am doing fine, altho not on WW at the moment--I'm 23 weeks pregnant! I'm still trying not to gain too much weight and to exercise regularly, and have every intention of going back to WW once this little one graces us with his presence.

Hello especially to Mare--say hi to your family for me! Hope you all won't mind if I hang out and pop in once in a while!
