I think that for some it gets routine, like you automatically KNOW, but I don't think that there is ever a day of "unaware eating" possible. If you don't account for it, your butt will, so from my point of view, it is better to mentally note the points and work it into my plan, than to eat it "unconsciously" and regret it at the weigh-in. This concept was super-hard for me, because I had to recognize that my "binge days" were over. Forever. Kind of like a mourning period, but hey, I got over it. I still don't like it all the time, though...
