  • Thanks for the welcome,kc and all! My story (like many I'm sure) is a life-time of yo-yo. I'm "undertall" and have always struggled. When I hit 40 I really did start taking better care of myself, exercising a lot and lost a lot of weight. I felt great and vowed that when I turned 50 I'd be in even better shape. (well that didn't happen...lol) At 50 I'm in pretty good shape but need to hit it harder. I'd love to lose 30-35 lbs and keep them OFF. I find I cannot do the intense workouts as much as I used to so I need to focus on consistency -- more often and longer durations at a steady level. I just need daily motivation because I can talk myself out of anything. "It's Monday and I'm too tired from a stressful day at work...it's cold and I want to curl up on the couch..." etc. etc. LOL

  • Hey skaterbug

I am also new started a couple days ago and have found a comfortable place in the 20 somthings group. I would love you hear some of these recipes. I also love to cook and am always looking for some low fat recipes to do myself rather than buying anything in a box.

Quote: im am also new here - i joined this morning. Im in the same situation as you guys - i need 'cheerleaders' to help me along. I used to do Weight Watchers and lost 69 pounds in 11 months and moved across the country to the dreariest state in the US and gained 31 of it back. i am currently 185 but would like to get down to 145 by the end of the year. I know its possible. I workout and cook tons of stuff from weight watchers and change any recipe possible to be weight watcher friendly. my problem is i just lost my will power. Look forward to seeing everyones success stories on here as we lose the weight.
  • Life's a little nuts right now, which means watching my food fell by the wayside last night. I ate an entire bag of chips for dinner. Ugh. Oh well. Not the first time I've done, and probably won't be the last. Just as long as it doesn't happen as frequently as it used to!

KC, you were asking how long I've been at this. It'll be 1 year on WW on St Paddy's day. With 61 pounds gone so far, I'm happy with my progress. When I follow the program, it works! I just need to get my tush in gear and start exercising, which has always been my difficulty. I'll get there, just very slowly. Right now I'm mainly walking to work, so that helps. And it this weather it's more difficult, 'cause I get to slog through snow where people haven't shovelled their sidewalks.

Anyway, it's been a long week (and it's only Wednesday ) so I'm going to it the sack, have a good one!

  • wow reddress, way to go! You got a success story already with what you've lost! I have been out for a couple of days, sick as a dog! Got an upper respiratory infection that just plumb knocked me flat on my butt for 2 days! Today i'm quite better and am back at work. I didn't weigh today for fear of not losing! haha. Actually it's that time of the month and I don't weigh myself till the following week! So if i lose just one more pound for the month of February i will still be on track for my goal for the month! I'm looking out my window and see the trail riders crusing down the street. For all that dont know this, we have the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo here every year and each year all the cowboys/girls and their buggies and horses ride to the rodeo thru our streets. Really something to experience. The kids love it! And of course we make a BIG deal out of it in Houston. I will probably take my 2 year old to the livestock show to see the animals this year, but not too the Rodeo. She is still too young!
    Have a good weekend everyone!
  • It sounds like we're doing pretty well (besides most of us being sick :P)

I know what you mean KC, this is one of my *don't dare weigh* weeks, but I did it anyway, since I didn't last week. I lost 3 over the last 2 weeks. I was kinda annoyed not knowing if I lost 2 and then 1, or lost 2 and then gained 1 back.. But who cares?!!? It's 3 lbs I don't have to lose next week!

Ne hoo, I know I still have to post that pizza info, but I had to pick up a second job to pay my tuition, so I haven't had much time

Well, I hope you girls have an awesome weekend, and good luck with your week!

BTW Dusty, don't worry about taking a break. Sometimes we all need one, no matter how much we try to convince ourselves otherwize

    Bye guys!
  • Hi
Well I dont really know how this happened but I lost 1 pound that means I
have lost 10 pounds I am happy about that

    Have a great weekend

  • Hey everyone I am new here. I joined WW last mon (jan.) and I have lost a total of 11 pounds. I still have plenty more to go. I would like to have people to talk to and help me with the extra motivation.
  • Hey there, I know exactly how you feel. I started WW on Feb 17 (last week), but down 4.4lbs so I'm excited! I also need extra motivation as well hope we can chat.
  • Woa, Couldn't find our posts! But i guess they had to move us sooner or later. Is everyone still around? Dusty? Songbird? Reddress, everyone else? Hello?

  • I'm stuck at 9 pounds still. Trying to get that 1 pound off by Friday to hit 10 pounds! Come-on 1 pound! I did get a little off track when I was sick last week. I just didn't want to cook, or eat healthy! So I went off my points, but I did not gain! But I did not lose either. Any ways back on traack yesterday. Come on 6 pounds for March! Thats all I want! Anyone have any mini goals?
Way to go Dusty! 10 pounds. woo hoo! Keep on walking.... I actually looked at my tread mill yesterday, but never got on. Go figure. It was just too darned nice outside to work out! Since my treadmills in my garage. I played with my daughter instead. Will i ever get motivated to walk?
  • Hi
I would love to lose 8 pounds in March but I dont think it will happen I will
try hard at it by walking and eatting healthy
ive lost 10 pounds since Jan. so I think thats pretty good
Hope everyone has A great day
    Dusty
  • I didn't lose this week But I didn't gain either I'm still only at 7 lbs lost, but that's 7 lbs I didn't have last month!! Well, technically, I guess I did since I lost it this month..Now I'm confused..

Dusty, you'll get those 8 lbs in March for sure. ****, why not get 10 while you're at it!

KC, I hope you got that last one. In my past, that's always the hardest one to get

Take care guys! Have a fantabulous week!
