Question Sickness and weightlifting question?

Hi all, this is my very first post here!

I have only been weight training for a few weeks. I currently have a tooth infection and I am taking antibiotics and nurofen for the pain.

Is it ok to keep lifting and doing cardio?

Thanks.

Default I would think so, unless you find that the increased blood flow thru your head causes

discomfort or a pulsing/pounding sensation in your tooth. Generally, as long as you are not running a fever, you are "ok" technically to workout, but it depends more on how you feel. Last nite I had a mild headache that got worse with lifting, so I stopped and postponed until today. Welcome to the world of lifting!

It really depends on what is wrong with me, sometimes I work through it with a full workout - cardio and weights. Sometimes I hit the treadmill for 30 minutes of good walking and call it a day. Then sometimes I stay home, use my DVDs and hand weights and then sometimes I just pull the covers over my head. The point is to go but not lose your form. I can't workout if I am congested and if I take something my head gets wonky.

Remember some meds tell you not to operate heavy machinery.
