Hi LWL,

SusanB- loading wood..that is awesome! Congrstulations on this NSV!
Ilene - good that you are feeling better.

I went to yoga class todau and actually am taking of some time to go read a book in the garden right now. It is spring, no kids at home, and the sun is shining... I feel like I am sneaking off or something. But I am going to enjoy the sun ! Tomorrow we will celebrate the queen's birthday, so a lot of festivities around here. I'll probabely be watching the royal familiy on TV, while they are working thier way through a parade.

have a great day all,
rabbit

RABBIT - Royals on parade, how lovely. I won't try to call my GF then.

Grilling some chicken with some sun dried tomatoes. Started cleaning out the basement found out DD's school is still accepting stuff for the yardsale, that is motivating.

Dealing with plumber at apartment, last minute work assignments and sick kids (not mine), but over all a good week to get back on track. I am going to hit the gym on Monday. Lost some more weight this week, about 2 pounds with no workouts. Was making me crazy but I think I am coming to terms with it.

Home computer is up and running, yeah.

way to go susan!!

Today was a very busy day... Tomorrow I have a 5k race that I'm not even ready for, I'm just going to run it for the fun of it like any other run, maybe the adrenaline rush will make me go faster ...

Oh Ilene! A 5k race! You have my admiration for even thinking about it. I just find runners to be so 'envy worthy'.

I'm off to work again this morning. It really interferes with my dieting and lifting life.

Go Ilene! Personally, I despise running, but I did 5 miles yesterday. I was chasing fire trucks to see if they were headed to my house which kept my pace up pretty high

Bi and Tri workout done this morning, will do some much needed yarwork, then take a bike ride. The real kind The weather is so lovely now, I am abandonning hamster cardio as much as possible.

This morning I tried adding eggwhites to the water that I pour over my oatmeal before I nuke it. Hats off to anyone who eats this I smothered it in sf syrup and half a diced pear. It was an experiment I won't repeat!

If you want eggwhites in your oatmeal add about 1/3 or 1/4 milk or soy milk to it, stir with a whisk every minute in the microwave for a total of about 3 minutes, it turns out like a custard... honest !!

The 5k was good this morning, it was a gorgeous morning I ran it in 30:49 my goal was to at least be in 30 minute range... I thought I was going to cough up a lung though at the finish line ...

I do my egg whites and oatmeal in a little food processor. 1/2 cup already cooked oats and 3 egg whites then I nuke it for 2 mins and it makes (like Ilene says) a kind of custardy breakfast.

I use a whole egg in my oatmeal, I just put it in with half cup of oats, half cup of skimmed milk and half cup of water, whisk it all up with a fork, then nuke for a minute, stir, then nuke again till it's done. You could always use powdered egg whites if you don't like the lumps, but that made it taste even worse to me!

There werent any lumps...the whole thing was just kind of like a soggy oatmeal brick, but it smelled of nuked eggwhites despite the tablespoon of cinnamon that I sprinkled on it. It was just YUK and for the most part, I will eat anything that doesn't have bugs on it. Hmmmm, some nice crunch bugs might improve the protein ratio without the eggwhites!

Just to tell you I'm reading but mostly lurking. Life's busy.

Susan B - very good work on the wood!

Rabbit -

See you next week. There's broadband in this area now and I've just set it up at work. We've got some at home too but it depends on the machine .... it's a work in progress.

Have a good weekend and enjoy the May Day holiday if you have it.

LWL! I'm back from the southwest. We had a great time in the amazing country that is southern Utah. And it was HOT! I finally felt that the winter cold was baked out of me. And the trip was arranged so that there was walking most days and several mile hikes about every other day, so I got some exercise too. Missed one morning with a nasty migraine but otherwise felt great. Met a lot of nice folks too.

Back to work tomorrow and I'm sure there are lots of fires to put out! Also back to the gym, and Day 1 of the BFL 12 week challenge I've agreed to with Fran and Robin! I've been grocery shopping, so clean eating should be fine, and I've mapped out my exercise strategy for the week.

Sorry to hear life has been so stressful for some of you. Hope you sick ones are feeling better, and here's a special for you Rabbit. Divorce is such a hard thing to get through (and I didn't even have kids!) - you're doing well overall. Hang in there.
