I ate 3 large chocolate M&M cookies !!!! D had placed them in the cookie jar upstairs! I should have done this on the 1st cookie but waited till the third one to smarten up, I brought them down to the basement fridge! It's still not a good thing that I know where they are, but tomorrow if I sucumb again, I will ask someone to HIDE them...
Easter candy. Oops! I should have marched right to the back of the Bulk Barn to get my whole wheat flour and ground flax, but nooooo, I had to stop at the malted eggs.
Got into the popcorn again tonight. At least I cut the oil to make it with down to 1 T. this time, instead of 2. And now, I can hardly keep my eyes open because of all the carbs. "Carb coma" I call it!
Don't know what my deal is lately - I've been having incredible craving for stuff I've not wanted in 9 months! I guess I'll just turn to the chocolate protein bars and see if I can get through this!

Easter candy too. Passing it in the store the other day, I bought a bag of malted milk eggs and jelly beans for DH. I handed him the bag and said, "here, hide this." I went into his den to get something, and saw the bag, peeked in, and the jelly beans were there, but not the mm eggs. I thought just a few won't hurt (the lie we tell ourselves), and just kept scarfing them down, consciously seperating the flavors. The payoff was not only carb overload, but a sugar hangover.
I will make an effort ro avoid the Easter Candy display at the store - I know where it's at, and I can easily stay away. No more buying candy for him. He's a big boy and knows where to get it if he wants it.
We go to KFC once in awhile, and I really do fairly well there (buffet) and clean the skin and breading off the breasts. Hardest thing for me not to pick up- the biscuits.
Did you see that KFC has come out with a skinless, boneless breaded breast? I'm curious to see what the nutrition is like on that. Probably the same as the crispy strips, I'd think....
JC - my friend from NZ tells me that KFC in the States is totally different than what he grew up with in NZ. I wonder if yours is different too. Can't remember how he said it was different.

It wouldn't surprise me - a lot of our food is different - the only thing that is the same is McDonald's. But your sizes are larger and you have more variety on the menu.
Yesterday my mother brought in Reese white chocolate PB cups for each of us. I put mine away for another day (should have thrown or given it away, in retrospect. Duh. When would there ever be an OK day to eat junk like that?) but ended up eating it after dinner. I regret doing that very much. It wasn't even very good.
