Exclamation YOur thoughts on ATkins food

I picked up an Atkins bar yesterday, and I just finshed eating it and it was gooood! My question is how does this encorpoate into my weight loss plan? Is it a cheat food?
here is the lowdown on the bar...

(and mind you, I know nothhing about ATkins diet.)
9 grams fat
4 net carbs
3 fiber and
120 caloires

I know this isn't a meal replacement of any sort, I just need to make sense of it...and weather or not I should even be eating it...but it's soo tasty....I want another...hehe

Thanks everyone!
Chris

Chris, IMHO, I think they are ONLY A TREAT item...They are laden with hidden sugars that they omit to mention on the wrap... they have terrible protein sources too... Whole foods is always best, but in a pinch, they are OK I've had them myself.....

It was tasty?!? An ATKINS product?!? (I'm basing my query on the ONE Atkins product I tried... the "indulgence" ersatz ice cream cups...BARF...)

Well just looking at the ingredients...most of the calories come from fat - if there are 9 grams of fat, that's 81 calories of the 120 coming from fat. Net Carbs...IMO is a marketing slant that the supp companies started using on their bars after the FDA cracked down on them for not listing the carbs that derived from glycerin (sugar alcohol). What about the protein? I'm gathering there really isn't all that much, since out of the 120 calories, 81 come from fat and at least 16 from carbs...

Personally I try and avoid bars, but I do find myself buying them once in awhile - I generally get the Worldwide Pure Protein or MetRx Pure Protein brands. I DID try Detour out of curiosity, but found them a bit too sweet (good though - I ended up giving the rest of the box to Jim who LOVED those suckers...).
