ok ok ok. i confess. when i first saw the title of this thread, i thought... WHAT DID THEY REPORT????? and then i realized.. they REPORTED TO SPRING TRAINING.
Jiff, If I didn't know that you could talk hockey, I would cry!
Now, Vow....please reconsider your position on being a catcher. they have extremely cute butts and wear protection in stategic places. Their teeth are protected too. They do go through some horrific bad hair days though....but hey you can't have everything! (unless you're a yankee )
Not convinced? Well, I think that you would make a great heckler. In fact I would like to extend an invitation to you to join the Bleacher Creatures at Yankee Stadium. They heckle with the best of them, although Mets fans do seem to put all of them to shame.
Oh Juicy One,
VOW hails from So. California darlin'. They don't let them be Yankees fans there - there will be no bleacher creature. If she's lucky at all, VOW gets to be a Dodgers fan, or hope against hope, she can be a Padres fan (which means she's even sorrier than I am in her fanage*)!
VOW, don't be a catcher. You're right on with that one - with all that squatting they kind of walk like apes and have no teeth.
Speaking of which, Jiff if you speak hockey, do you have all yours - teeth I mean?
Later baseball fans,
Chickadee
*fanage is a word I just made up. Kind of like heritage or dotage.
You know, I've always thought the purple and grey were a nice color combo.....
High school ball is gearing up here (start of some practice games here yesterday!) and I've already been doing some 'mom bragging' - can't wait for the season to start!
Well, Peachie - just cuz you asked nice..............
Here was my post from Saturday:
BRAG ALERT: Sorry but I'm just bursting at the seams with this news. A few weeks back Bryan (my 15 year old freshman) was asked by the varsity coach to play in a practice baseball game for varsity since a few of the players are still doing basketball. The game was originally scheduled for last Monday but got rained out (which was a good thing because Bry had rolled his ankle [AGAIN]
on Saturday and it was still fairly swollen and painful on Monday and I was going to have to call the coach and cancel) So anyway, they played the game today and Bry was awsome! He batted very well and was one of the best pitchers of the game! I was so proud of him - he had been very nervous to play with 'the big boys' (which is funny in itself since he is 5'11', 185 lbs! lol) but he more than held his own! Then, this afternoon we came back to our high school and he played a game with his JV team - he got two good hits but didn't pitch as they don't want to kill his arm. Ok - I'm done bragging!
