L: ½ cup eggbeater w/ 1/6 cup LF cheese, 1 slice Rye toast
D: Green Curry chicken with brown rice
S: Apple & 1 cup yogurt

We went out for Thai food tonight. Any ideas on the Green Curry chicken. I ended up counting it as 402 calories plus 172 for the brown rice. I might be over estimating?

Depends on how much you ate! Factor in at least 2 T oil for a standard dish, plus 1/2 a cup full-fat coconut milk or coconut cream. This dish (restaurant style) is deceptively high in calories, fat and sodium.

I didn't eat that much of the sauce. I put brown rice on my plate and then put the veges and chicken over it with a few spoonfulls of sauce. The bowl was full of sauce that I didnt eat In part because it was so spicy! I'm glad I only eat out once a week because it's confusing counting the calories!

First of all, welcome Depressed....you have come to the right place for great support and friendship. You have taken the first step by knowing you need help and coming here. Just keep up the exercising and watching what you eat and you will be on the right track. Just remember you have to burn more calories than you take in to lose weight. The ladies here are great inspiration, we all slip every now and then and it really helps to post here to be held accountable. We never judge because we have all at one time or another been faced with whatever slips you may have.

Today:

B: scrambled eggbeaters w/ 3/4 c. redbeans and rice mixed...sounds weird but very yummy. 300 cal
L: baked lays, turkey 460 cal (was on the road)
D: Taco salad (homemade no shell) w/ tomato, cucumber 325 cal

Total calories= 1085 may have a snack, 300 under what I like to be for the day.

Congrats to all of those that were faced with temptations this weekend...you all did really good!

Another "lost weekend"...I have got to get control over my weekends! Thursday night was our office Christmas open house...I ate very little and spent most of the evening running up and down the stairs from the kitchen to the main conference room replenishing dishes, restocking the bar, etc. But, Friday was bad. All those yummy party leftovers all over the place! I pretty much nibbled all day. Saturday and Sunday were my usual not eating enough, and when I did eat I did NOT make very good choices. I am going to start planning my weekend meals just like I do the weekday ones. Hopefully that will help.

Anyway, today's eats...
B: 1/2 c. cottage cheese, 1 orange
s: minestrone soup
L: Lean Cuisine margherita (tomatoes and onion) pizza
s: almonds, Diet Coke
D: chicken breast, rice, broccoli
s: big glass of skim milk

Exercise today was a 2 mile WATP tape

So, Meecha, how's it going with the smoking? You're braver than me...I need to quit too but I just can't face quitting and trying to lose weight at the same time! I have cut down to 2 to 3 cigarettes a day - that's about the best I can do right now. Good luck to ya!
