Tell me more abut this Walk Away the Pounds video. Do you walk in place or what? Sounds like something I'd like to do.

The videos are very low impact so they are easy on the joints and you can always modify when you need to by just walking in place if you get tired. Some say it is like walking in place.....she varies the routine and adds some hand weights to work your upper body too. On the one video I have been doing she walks in place, steps side to side, adds a knee lift and a kick to the routine. She breaks them down into 1 mile, 2 miles and 3 miles. The 1-mile is only 15 minutes long, the 2-mile is 30 minutes and the 3-mile is 45 minutes. She has a variety of things on her website. Hopefully this will be something you all can do......rain or shine.

Hewysmom: There are a couple things I want to encourage you with. Walking in a mall or your neighborhood costs you NOTHING! You can also get the tapes at the library for free or very nominal fee. Please don't get discouraged. I have lost over a 100 lbs in a year and I started just walking once around my condominium complex twice a day. By October I was able to do a 5k (3.1 mile) breast cancer walk and have now joined the Y and do an hour on the treadmill everyday. You can do this, I know you can! Good luck to you and let me know if there is anything I can do to help you out!

Hi Hewy and LMB. I am new too. Joined yesterday! I work 9 - 6 everyday except for two consecutive days of the week. (Usually Wed. and Thurs.) and on those days, I am at home on the computer, so I will be here to chat with anyone about anything. I'll usually get on at night too.
