no late-night eating ... 56 days in a row ... another new world record !
NO headache this morning ... 11 out of 12 days on the evening coffee program have resulted in headache-free mornings.
need a bit of variety in my diet but not sure what to add. nuts are healthy enough but pack a big calorie load; ditto for any grain that i can think of. i have had ground beef a few times since i started this and i really enjoy it. as long as i can keep the portion size down i think it would be ok.; or maybe some canned beans ... also high in calories but packing a good dose of fibre. also going to try some metamusil; fibre has been lacking since giving up bread.
no late-night eating ... 57 days in a row ... another new world record !
NO headache this morning ... 12 out of 13 days on the evening coffee program have resulted in headache-free mornings. not ready yet, but a couple more days of this and i will re-introduce yogurt into the menu and see whether it is, in fact, a problem or not.
ticking along nicely; still need to put a bit more variety into the menu. today i am definitely going to pickup some ground beef and a couple of cans of beans.
another 3 star day ... 10 in a row. i think this may be a new world record, too. will have to go back through my entries to confirm.
no late night eating ... 58 days in a row ... another new world record !
NO headache this morning ... 13 out of 14 days on the evening coffee program have resulted in headache-free mornings. i am ready to live a little dangerously and re-introduce a few things that i thought were the culprits. will start with some yogurt.
another 3 star day ... 11 in a row.
night-time eating ... WIN; (cheated just the TEENSIEST bit here ... fished a few grains of rice out of the wasabi/soy sauce mix leftover from the sushi dinner ... delicious !)
water intake ... WIN;
clean eating ... WIN.
day 100 ... wow ... i have stuck to something for 100 days !!!
no late night eating ... 59 days in a row ... another new world record !
the good news ... introduced wheat back into the diet and did NOT suffer a morning headache as a result. the evening coffee program is looking like a game-changer.
the bad news ... i had planned on a muffin and a croissant; the lady at the bakery tossed in a free croissant because it was near the end of the day. i should have used some willpower to save it for the next day, or at LEAST keep it for the evening dessert, but i inhaled it like a hurtin' addict. demerit for the clean-eating category; such a shame as i would have tied the world record at 12 days had i resisted the temptation.
no late-night eating ... 60 days in a row ... another new world record !
didn't go shopping yesterday so didn't have any of my "suspect" foods to re-introduce into the menu. going to get some yogurt today and try that. 15 out of 16 days on the evening coffee program have resulted in no morning headache. i did pickup a fibre supplement, so we'll see how that goes.
no late-night eating ... 61 days in a row ... another new world record !
had some yogurt yesterday as well as some canned beans, an apple and a couple of oranges with no ill effects. 16 out of 17 days on the evening coffee program with no morning headache. today i will add a bun or two and a grapefruit as well as the remainder of the can of beans and see what happens. nothing but cold, wet weather forecast for the coming week, so it will be a bit of a challenge to keep busy and stay away from the snacking. even though my snacks are, almost without exception, healthy foods, there is still the danger of going overboard, especially on fruit.
no late-night eating ... 62 days in a row ... another new world record !
monday, march 1, 2021 ... mondays are weekly weigh-in day ... scale shows 189.5 lbs. with march being a long month, a loss of 4.5lbs for the month seems reasonable, so goal for april 1 weigh-in is a crisp, even 185lbs.
fell into the old habit of snacking, rather than pouring a glass of water, so i earn a "fail" in the water intake category.
ate 2 buns last night (instead of a proper dinner, so calorie deficit should still be ok for the day). no morning headache resulted. 17 out of 18 days on the evening coffee program resulted in no morning headache.
no late night eating ... 63 days in a row ... another new world record !
for the 2nd day in a row i reached for snacks rather than water. even though the snacks are healthy ... either fruit or cottage cheese ... it's not overly hard to rack up a calorie excess by doing that.
SNACKING IS NOT MY HOBBY ... WATER IS MY FRIEND !
SNACKING IS NOT MY HOBBY ... WATER IS MY FRIEND !
ate 2 buns again last night with dinner ... planned ... wanted to really put wheat to the test. result = no morning headache; 18 out of 19 days on the evening coffee program have resulted in no morning headache.
no late-night eating ... 64 days in a row ... another new world record !
back on track ... yesterday i had a decent amount of yogurt and no headache this morning, so 19 out of 20 days on the evening coffee program have resulted in no morning headache. also, achieved adequate water intake.
no late-night eating ... 65 days in a row ... another new world record !
had a very, very, faint headache this morning; ALMOST not worth mentioning, but considering how long i have had this problem for, i don't want to let it slide. prime suspect : i had maybe a cup or more of yogurt yesterday. 19 out of 21 days on the evening coffee program have resulted in NO morning headaches.
no late-night eating ... 67 days in a row ... another new world record !
on the headache front ... yesterday i went to the bakery and bought a muffin and a croissant ... planned, no demerit for this, i am doing well with the calorie deficit so i could afford it and wanted to see whether it resulted in a morning headache .. it did. mild-to-moderate in intensity. as a side note, i bought them at 430pm and did not tear into them until late evening, for my after-dinner dessert. pretty big show of will-power there, i sez ! today i am going to get one only, either croissant or muffin, and see how that goes. i did have some yogurt earlier in the day so it could be either, or both cumulatively. going to avoid yogurt today.
no late-night eating ... 68 days in a row ... another new world record !
the plan was to have just a muffin OR a croissant but when i was at the bakery i caved in a bought both. not going to penalize myself for it with a demerit cuz when all is said and done i still ran at a calorie deficit, just a slightly smaller one is all. the good news is that having eaten them both and NO yogurt i did not have a morning headache. today i am going to flip it around ... no wheat/sugar and plenty of yogurt. 21 of 24 days on the evening coffee program have resulted in no morning headache.
no late-night eating ... 69 days in a row ... another new world record !
as planned, i avoided wheat/sugar and had a fair bit of yogurt. no morning headache, so still not sure of the cause but it is starting to look like maybe a cumulative effect of eating both yogurt and wheat on the same day. will just have to be careful in that regard. 22 of 25 days on the evening coffee program have resulted in no morning headaches. monday is weigh-in day and i only showed a 1/2 lb loss instead of the planned 1 lb loss for the week, but i know that the scale is finicky and will likely make it up to me next monday as long as i work the plan. ticking along nicely again, racking up 3 star days. nice weather forecast for the next 4 days so boredom should not be an issue.
no late-night eating ... 70 days in a row ... another new world record !
had plenty of yogurt, no wheat/sugar, and no morning headache. 23 of 26 days on the evening coffee program have resulted in no morning headaches. being able to enjoy an evening coffee AND have it help immensely with a long-standing health issue almost feels too good to be true.
going to have some sushi for dinner tonight so, in order to accommodate the immense calorie load in a handful of rice, i will have to really watch the snacking today. on a real winning streak here; the scale isn't quite keeping up but history shows that it will eventually make it up to me as long as i keep working the plan.
