Nichols: I can develop an unhealthy fixation on the scale sometimes if I don't watch it. I'm contemplating weighing weekly or even monthly right now because my weight loss is so inconsistent even 100% on plan. I'm weighing the pros and cons (focusing on healthy eating rather than numbers VS making it easier for myself to slide if I don't have daily accountability, etc.).

Has anyone here weighed weekly or monthly? How did that go in terms of staying on plan and with the mental aspects?

The only time I weigh monthly is if I'm off plan and don't want to see the scale LOL.
I hope it works well for you though I don't think I could do it. I feel the scale is what gives me accountability.

Weighed in today at 166.4. Next week my work is starting a weight loss challenge and I'm pretty excited about that and hope to win some money!
I've alotted myself two cheat days in December. One being on the 8th because we are having a Christmas Party at work and then one being on the 25th.
I feel that at times I give myself a break because holidays mean food...and we like to celebrate one holiday for a week straight LOL.

My goal is to be back at 156.4 by New Years. Does anyone else on here have any New Years Goals?

I'm still toying with the idea of only weighing a couple times a month. I want to, but I'm concerned it could be used as an excuse to overeat with the erroneous idea that the extra weight could be worked off in time for the next distant weigh-in. I'm not sure I'm in a place yet that I can focus on the process without more frequent scale measurements. I'll be thinking about it some more.

Nichols: I'd love to be in the 150s by then. It's technically possible for me, but unlikely with my current pattern of weight loss (drop a bit, stall for 10-20 days, drop a bit more, repeat). So I'll either be in the 50s or pretty much where I am now (I prefer the former, but I only have so much control of how my body loses weight beyond sticking to my plan).

162.4 this morning. Pretty big drop after weeks of bouncing, so that’s nice.

This thread seems inactive, but I hope to join next week. At 170.4 now.

It seems inactive, but here we are! I am at 162.4 and my goal is 115 (I am 5'1") so I have some work to do! But first step is to get out of the 160's! I started at 173.5!

Slimmer me 01-30-2018 11:56 AM

I’m moving over from the 170s thread; 169.4 today. I hope to make it through in about 2 months.

kahaney 01-30-2018 03:19 PM

AMAZING, congratulations!! I'm hoping to be in the 50's pretty soon! Glad to have company while doing it!

Slimmer me 02-03-2018 11:31 AM

170.0 today, but will stay in this thread.

kahaney 02-06-2018 04:50 AM

Nice! Welcome! I'm struggling with these last few lbs of the 160's. We can do it together!!
