KStrong I have been in the 160's since January. It's frustrating it's taking me so long to get to the 150's. But I hope to start doing better with my diet and exercise. Good Luck, Everyone!

Hi everyone! I am back in this thread...boo hoo :cry: about 4 or 5 years ago I went all the way down to 150 and then over time crept back up to 160. Fast forward one year and a quarantine later and I'm 169! Holy crap! AND it's become almost impossible to lose weight now that I'm 50 :( ugh. We'll see what happens.

KStrong thanks! I used to be able to drop 10 pounds pretty quickly, but not at this age! ugh. I'm down like .4 today and normally I would be down a pound after eating cleanly and low carb. Maybe the chocolate almonds and the two drinks I had last night had something to do with it :rofl: Off to make breakfast (late) of a flax pancake!

to be clear, I had 4 chocolate almonds lol and one glass of wine, one shot of whiskey. I tend to hold between 3 and 6 pounds of water if I drink any more than 2 drinks. I hate it. in my 40's I could still drop that water pretty fast, but now that I'm 50 it feels almost impossible.
I was going to do a step workout here at home today but I'm not sure yet...I did elliptical at the gym yesterday, and a step workout on Wednesday. I will lift weights at gym tomorrow so today just might be a rest day. I'm going to start posting my food diary here each day, below is today so far:
Breakfast - flax pancake (ground flax, dash of almond milk, egg white, cinnamon) w/thin layer of organic creamy peanut butter (1 tsp) and a drizzle of honey
Lunch - salad made with romaine, grilled chicken, reduced fat feta, tortilla strip topper, zesty lime vinaigrette)
Dinner - tbd
I will have 2 glasses of wine tonight, no more no less :lol:

Kstrong :rofl: I am trying VERY HARD with the alcohol...I always tell people it's easier for me not to drink at all then to stop when I should :lol: I've been using half of a cbd cookie or brownie at night in order to not drink as much ha ha! In Vegas I do what I want :rofl: and I need to be a few pounds lighter to go so I have 5 weeks to do it. Sounds like enough time but remember...age :cry: :lol:

I did end up doing a step workout on Friday evening at home...did elliptical for 30 minutes at gym on Saturday instead of weights, took yesterday off completely, and I am lifting at the gym today at 12:10. I hate to say it, but having to make reservations for the gym because of covid actually helps me to not procrastinate or miss workouts! whatev!

today's planned menu:
B - egg white omelet w/spinach, honey ham, wee brie, light sour cream, green salsa (I did have this already ;))
L - salad w/romaine, grilled chicken, reduced fat feta, salad topper (tortilla strips or wonton strips), zesty lime vinaigrette
D - grilled pork chop, broccoli
not sure what else...TBD! have a great day!

doing South Beach phase one after eating ramen and pizza and binge drinking whiskey a week ago for daughter's 30th birthday! Went up to 172 with all that madness but water is off and have lost 6 pounds, and on day 8 of phase one. Weight now 166.4. No alcohol on phase one, which is good! :rofl: I should be at least down to 164 hopefully by the time I go to Vegas, and when I get back I'll get right back on phase one until the water from the trip food and drink wears off!

hello! late post! :wave: been busy and I'm in the office.

had turkey burger patty and asparagus last night for dinner, and also I did do a step workout before that. Burned around 375.

Today looked like this so far: breakfast: tofu with green salsa, 3 slices of canadian bacon, and a slice of swiss (meat and cheese were separate lol)
lunch: can of tuna (wild planet, from Costco) with light mayo and relish, 5 mini sweet peppers in which I stuffed the tuna into while eating :drool:
I am having a snack right now - nacho cheese flavored protein puffs.

step workout when I get home, and not sure what I want for dinner yet. see you later!

Did step workout last night, burned 388 calories according to apple watch. Dinner ended up being Del Real carnitas over steamed broccoli, and then dessert of greek yogurt and nuts.

Had coffee this morning, and made my flax/cottage cheese pancakes. I am thinking about lunch being a salad with the sirloin from Costco, feta, and lime vinaigrette. I have been working out a lot! Saturday was weights and I did step T, W, Th only taking Monday off. I am considering an off day today as we are talking about riding bikes tomorrow and thankfully it will only be around 73 or so. It's 93 today! Sunday will be weights at the gym if we ride. I could still decide to do a step workout later today, but 5 days of exercise a week seems like enough https://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/images/smile/rofl3.gif
